Roof Masters Preferred Inc

The package was advertised as a $349 roof maintenance package with leak repair valued at over $1000. The roofer arrived on time, asked if there was a repair needed, and I showed him the area that needed fixed. He was on my roof for no more than 25 minutes. Doctors and lawyers don't make over $1000 in 25 minutes! The roofer caulked the screw heads in my attic vent and fixed the leak by inserting a membrane between the leaking shingles and taring over the area. Afterwards, I expressed my concern that there was water damage and that he should have replaced the wood underneath that section of roof, which seemed quite reasonable given the $1000 value the package supposedly offered. He called the office and then told me that this was not included and would cost an additional $250. He also told me that I had an old style dryer vent that he could not clean out because there was no flap like modern vents have. He said to clean it out would be an additional $50. I went up on the roof the next day, opened the flap (that he claimed was not there) and cleaned it out myself. I'm not sure how he would have known it's clogged if he hadn't opened the same flap. I should note he left also without giving me a receipt for the work. This didn't occur to me until after he left, otherwise I would have stopped him to ask for one. Overall, I was extremely unsatisfied with my service and will never use this company again. I feel like their ad was extremely misleading, and then they tried to charge me even more for services I thought should be included.

We are in the middle of a storm right now and it is leaking again! It was a very bad experience. They came here twice to fix it and it still leaks in the exact same place. We do not want to deal with them again. When I finally got them to come back and look at it again, they promised me that they would be out here on a Friday, they didn’t show up on Friday and I had twenty people that I was entertaining on that Saturday when they did show up! The first time they came, they had assured us that it will not leak again and the second time, they did something else and assured us that we would never have a problem with it but the guy that came out on Saturday was also very antagonistic.

We called to schedule the service. When we didn't Get the return call as promised my husband called again. I received a phone asking if they could come by because they were in The area. I was at work and told him to contact my husband. My husband told The gentlemen he had to leave to pick Up checks but would be home in an hour. The guy said he would Start and be there when my husband got home. My son was home Within 20 mins and nobody was here. Nothing was left explaining what was Done. We requested a return phone call and also sent an email to them. To date, no return call.

First they did not do a ggod job. Later they tried to make it better.

The company came out and performed the service. However they were only here for half an hour. The deal was for $349 seemed a little expensive for a half hour of work.

I thought everything was fine until the huge downpour today. It seems that we have the same leak in the same place over the dining room table.When the worker showed up in March to make the repair, he was on time. but he left w/o saying anything when he was done and didn't leave a receipt or show me the work he had done. basically, it was a wasted $349 and i still have to get it fixed.

Overall Lloyd was professional, very helpful, courteous and prompt. My only complaint is our initial contact experience. I was called the day of service and scheduled for later that afternoon. I first stated I would not be home and no one had called/ emailed ahead of time to schedule the appointment. I was told I do not need to be home for the service. I then said there was a 80% chance of rain and it was currently raining and I was concerned that the caulking wouldnt adhere. Lloyd politely said we had gotten off on the wrong foot and that he would call and schedule later that week. Which he did. The problem is, like all businessess in this economy, they schedule their work in consideration of the least amount of gas expense. Which is the proper way to run a business. However, when I pay for a service I do want to be there for the service. Accept for not being given more than a 1-3 hour notice for an appointment I would gladly give them an A and will reccommend the company.

Thought it went well. Then, we sprung a new leak. New roof cost they didn't tell us about: $11,000.00.

Work went very well. Received a lot of good information about my roof, in regards to age,and it's life left before I will need to completely replace it.

I need a new roof - Lloyd patched me up and bought some time. Gave the best estimate for what I really need. I will call them when I'm ready to get the new roof I really need. Lloyd engendered a sense of trust ! __________________________ UPDATE - Big Storm June 30 - No Leaks! ,-]

Once I finally got someone to return my call, Lloyd contacted me and arranged to come over. He arrived and hopped on the roof before making sure he was at the right place (which luckily he was). He inspected the roof and came down to tell me what he had found. I called his attention to a couple of areas that have been problems in the past; he confirmed they were again being problems with nails coming loose, and he fixed and resealed those areas.

They came out right away - very polite and professional - Repaired leak around chimney - spent lots of time inspecting the roof - found a few loose shingles & tacked them back down - cleared the leaves away , even trimmed a palm tree that was overhanging the roof - I think we got a great deal for the money and a new roofing company for any future needs !

In less than a week, we had some roof cap shingles (not sure if that's what's it's called -- it's the short shingles that cover where the various roof angles meet) come off. I called them and Kim in the office answered. I explained what had happened and asked if there was any checking for lose shingles. She explained that that wasn't part of the roof maintenance and it would be impossible to check all the shingles. I had no problem with that and asked if they could possibly send their guys over to reattach the shingles that came off. Kim explained that they weren't in the area that day but would be in the Lutz area in the next few days, which isn't far from my home and fix it. I also asked if they could check to see if there were other lose shingles. I didn't get a yes or a no other than she would have the guys stop over. I hadn't heard anything from Kim nor her crew and I emailed her to ask if they had come over as no one communicated with me. I received what I would say was a very rude and unprofessional response from her stating that that type of work wasn't part of the maintenance and that they gave me an estimate for other repairs and they hadn't heard from me. I thought you have got to be kidding me....you lack integrity with your word in saying you would send the crew over as a courtesy and then not show and then get an attitude that I didn't respond to the other repairs they suggested. What would make me think that with such poor customer service that I would even consider them for any other repairs. I was very disappointed in their lack of integrity.

He cleaned off all the debris on the roof and sealed any areas with caulking. He gave me a report on the condition. The work seemed to go really well. He seemed to know what he was doing. The guy that came by was nice enough.

I would make sure I was able to review the work performed next time. I trusted the scored previously received for the company.

We had a little trouble meeting up initialy but Lloyd did everything he could to meet my schedule. He completed the work and explained in detail everything that was done and what to keep an eye on over the next year. He also found and sealed a hole that was causing a phantom leak during heavy rain storms. They were fair and did everything advertised. I would use them again.

We had a sudden leak in our living room and car port after hours of steady rain. The leak began at around 8 pm. We called two roofers, but business was already closed. Lloyd from Roof Masters called us the next morning and was able to meet with us to fix the leak. He was very thorough in explaining what had caused the leak. They were on time, and finished the job in about an hour and a half. Our roof had a lot of oak leaves. Lloyd and his assistant cleaned up the roof and finished up by blowing the leaves off of the driveway and walkway. It was a small gesture but we really appreciated it. We asked about replacing the gutter around the front porch. They gave us a quote, which was actually less than what we expected. We called Lloyd a few weeks later to tell him that we can proceed with the project and it was the done the next day. We will definitely keep Lloyd as our roof specialist.

I thought I had a leak and they came out the next day. Wayne preformed the maintence special that I purchased. He did not see any leaks, but he said could have been a seal around my, I forget what he called it, the pipe or venting that comes out of the top of the roof. He sealed around them as part of the maintence package. He did replace and paint some rotted wood on the fascia. Quick, fast, professional service. Very honest to tell me he did not see a leak. I would recommend them to everyone.

It went great, they did great work. Nothing really stood out with them.

Excellent experience. The roof vent had been pulled up - maybe wind damage - and was leaking into the attic. Since the reseal, the attic has been dry.

Lloyd from Roof Masters contacted me about 5 days after I purchased the package to set up a time to come look at my roof and what I suspected was a leak. When he came over, he got on the roof to inspect. He stated he did find a leak, but that it was going to cost a lot more to repair. We discussed the possibility of replacing the entire roof versus just repairing the one section, which he quoted for around $1600. I asked him to work a quote for both the repair and roof replacement, and send it to me. He stated he was going to complete some type of temporary patch (which I initially paid for) at the time of his initial visit. I never received any written documentation what he did. I received a quote via email for the roof replacement but not for the repair of the one section of the roof. I ended up getting 2 other quotes for a roof replacement, which were very thorough and explained to me in great detail. I am having my roof replaced by one of the other companies. Based on the lack of explanation from Roof Masters, I am reluctant to use them again. I have no sense of certainty that they completed any repair that I had paid for.
