Reid's Remodeling

There is nothing standard about my home. A few months back I had Reid replace my over the range microwave because the original was installed in a completely incorrect and dangerous way and He did Awesome! So when It came time to replace My Back French Doors (They were interior doors in an exterior opening!) Reid was the 1st person I called. When we removed the old doors we found more crazy construction issues with a misplaced Threshold plate hiding an old sliding glass door plate, gaping holes in the concrete and many other issues too numerous to count. Watching Reid and Kyle solve these issues and get the new doors installed was a real pleasure and the finished product was way better than I thought it could be. I will happily recommend Reid to anyone needing a Handyman or remodeling services!

Fairly well, late start but traffic is tough in the morning coming from ST. Pete to Lutz. Excellent attitude, and professional manner. Kyle worked with Reid and they make a fantastic team. On a few occasions Reid had to secure supplies and Kyle continued to work in his absence and he did not stop. Every point of the job was well thought out. Plenty of onsite planning. This company provided outstanding service, exceptional workmanship and all with a BIG smile. We have a special needs son and we needed to make the space as safe as possible. Reid and his team were very sensitive to our son's presence. At all times they were courteous, respectful and informative. If anything went wrong, I can't recall it now. It was handled quickly and resolved. We were always welcomed to ask questions. Reid was always ready to share the progress of the job. Nice work ethic too! The shower looks amazing. We are VERY pleased with the work, the manner in which it was completed and I would always ask them first to come back to Lutz before using anyone else for a house remodel job. The nicest people you could share your home with for ten days.

It was a fine experience. I had them fix a door as well as a few other misc. items. The company sent one tech.

Reid is a very personable, skilled, experienced, and hard working gentleman. He gave me an estimate and a date when he could do the job. The estimate turned out to be almost exactly what was charged for the job which was carried out exactly when he said it would be done. The work area was cleaned up very well after the job completion.

both old exterior doors were rotting off the hinges. Reid of Reid's Remodeling arrived on time for my estimate, gave me a written detailed estimate plus ideas for replacing the doors with better quality ones. I had to postpone our appointments to start work several times due to family emergencies. He was very understanding and courteous. Both doors and screen doors were installed completely in one day. His pride in workmanship is obvious along with his skills. They left my home and yard cleaner than it was before they started! Would highly recommend this company for any work needed in your home. I am very satisfied with the work that was done and plan to hire them again when my budget permits.

The service went very well. They were very responsive to our requests and did great work. Reid and his partner came out for the service and completed the job in about 2-3 months. They were very hard workers and you can tell they took pride in their work. They were very meticulous and made sure the flooring was lined up and level. I enjoyed working with the company and would them again. I never had any problem reaching out to the company or scheduling the service. The only downside is that he sub contracted a painter for some closet doors that was not as good as the other painting that was done.

Frist of all, he showed up on time which is unusual for most service providers. He was prepared, discussed my list thoroughly, made suggestions that saved me money, used his time wisely, was neat and tidy, had all the proper tools, and was very professional.

Everything went well for the work we wanted done. Mr Reid was on time and performed the work in the amount of time he stated from the initial proposal.

Reid came out and gave me an estimate on several small repair and remodeling projects. We chose a date to start the work, and he was supposed to come out the day before to review the schedule and provide me with a list of needed materials. He called that day and told me he had a dental emergency, but that he would be at my home the next morning. He never showed up. He called and left me an apologetic voicemail late that afternoon, and said he would come the next day, and would give me a discount for my troubles. I called back, reached his voicemail, and said that would be fine. He never showed up, and I have never heard from him again.

It took sometime to arrange getting the work onto his schedule but I was pretty cool with that. The shower doors are great as is the wall patchwork and drywall repairs. The curtain rods were all hung properly. The kitchen counter top caulking was filled in mostly by Kyle. He did a good job as the gap is huge so the fill is thick. This needs to be painted now , Reid could not finish as it needed to dry.I may attempt that myself as I know he is busy. Some gaps along baseboard needed to be filled as I have tile that is old. Reid did this. He complained to Kyle that the redy-mix cement was coming out to fast from the caulk gun. That is the only thing that I find to look sloppy in several areas. I will need to scrap some small bits off as it is a thick line. That is really the only thing I am not happy with. I also wished that my bedroom couch and a few other areas had drop cloth over them. The fine dust particles when sanding drywall mud just go everywhere. I was very impressed with the fact that both Reid and Kyle kept moving and took no breaks.I felt they were very ethical with time management. That of course is so important when you pay by the hour. Reid's estimate was as well pretty spot on. The only thing you could improve is the cleanliness and covering of furniture etc. I would use Reid again. The only issue for me is I may only have small jobs and he is very busy. I would hesitate to call for that reason. I am very happy with the work done and the time it was done in.

Reid and Kyle showed up on time and performed quality work in an efficient manner. They changed 3 light fixtures, 2 ceiling fans, converted an outlet and hung several pictures. We plan on using them again in the future.

They were on time, prepared and complete everything with ease and skill.

I usually don't write bad reviews on companies, but after waiting again for 2 weeks for a call back to complete the rest of the work that we agreed to back on march 9th, I felt I had no choice but to write this review. I called Reid's remodeling to complete some handyman work due to insurance inspection that required a licensed contractor to complete. I met with Reid on March 9th. and he said it would be the beginning of April before he could get the work completed and I was ok with that. Reid did call and schedule a date to complete the work. I guess there was some miscommunicate, as I thought he was coming out on April 9th-11th and I had taken 2 days off of work thinking he was coming those 3 days, but I guess it was just for that one day April 9th. He was able to paint my office, complete most of the ceiling repairs that day. He had agreed to come back the next day on April 10th at 2pm to finish the ceilings since he had some time to complete the work. Reid did not show up, and at 4pm I left a message. He did call back around 530 pm, and said he had a migraine headache and said he would come out the following day in the afternoon to finish the ceilings which he did. He and Kyle came and spent about an hour and did what they could to complete the ceilings. Reid agreed to come back on the following Wednesday. April 16th. He was suppose to be here at 8am, no one showed, and I finally received a call around 930am with a message to call him back. I finally did call him back and he said due to the weather and need to pressure wash the house he wanted to wait till it was a bit warmer. So, he did show up around 1130am and Kyle pressured washed the house while Reid left to do something else. Reid showed up about 1 1/2 hours later, Kyle had been waiting and that was it for the day, they could not do anymore even though we had a list of what was suppose to be done that day. Reid said he would call and reschedule the rest of the work, and now its 2 weeks and no call. Reid also promised twice to give me an estimate and information to install a front door, but still no call. While I understand that Reid is busy, I to have things I need to get done. I finally had to call the insurance company who finally told me that the required work was completed, as I had to have permitted work done on my roof and electrical , and that the only thing they need for a contractor in the house was the ceiling repairs and that I could hire anyone else to do the rest of the work. Professionalism in a career requires good communication, being timely on your work, not taking on more than you can handle, and always f/u with your clients . Unfortunately, this was not the case in my situation. Having a license and doing quality work is not always enough. If you look at the business description of this company, it reads (you will treat everyone like family, without a business you will have no business , a business build on trust.) I am trying to figure out this business description and how it applies to my situation. My brother always says, if a company wants your business they will f/u with you ongoing, if they are not interested, you won't hear from them. I could have called Reid to find out what the issues was, but i believe that the company should be f/u with the client , not the other way around. Although Reid and Kyle were nice men, and their qualify of work was good, to me just f/u and being on time, would have made a big difference for me. Just letting a customer wait forever just is unacceptable. Unfortunately, i had a friend that was interested in using this company, but due to my experience she is looking elsewhere .If you want handyman work only done, Reid is just to busy. If you need a kitchen and/or bathroom remodeling, maybe that would be a different situation. I really hate writing bad reviews, as i always believe in giving people a fair chance, but i really don't know how long it is suppose to take get work done that could be completed in a timely manner. Although i wish Reid success in his business, if he continues to take on more than he can handle, he will have a lot of unhappy customers.

I would have written this review much sooner but family issues didn't allow for it. After numeous visits and his stating "he stands by his work" the porch still leaked. I called before the holidays to tell him once again it was still leaking and I would call him after the holidays. I did not get the semi usual non return call. I called again and he left me hanging as I heard him and Kyle working. I hung up got his voice mail. Again explained that not only the porch still leaking and worse then ever but the new screening he put up was very very loose. With the strong winds i was afraid it would blow away. I left another msg. saying I was coming on Angies to complain. He then called and said he'd fix the screens. I did not like his attitude etc.. I told me don't bother. Plus I had mentioned to him previously he didn't give me Angies discount. Nada happened. While Reid is a nice guy he does no stand by his work. If he would be honest he knows all Im saying is true. I gave him a lot of leave way on his time frame. I realize i am in a minority when it comes to a review but I wish he had given me the am respect for a job he was being paid for as he had his other clients.

They were both very neat and tidy and worked very well.

I had a long to do list. including cleaning and painting the garage floor. It went well. always on time, very friendly. The garage door look great.

Reid and his assistant Kyle were very punctual, courteous, trustworthy and professional. I was very pleased with the quality work they did as well as how quickly they did it. I spoke to Reid about other larger jobs that I have planned later on and I am confident that he can take care of those jobs quite satisfactorily.

Excellent, he and his helpers were wonderful. They arrived on schedule and were polite and professional. They took the sashes off 13 windows, sanded them painted them, reglazed them and reinstalled them. They paid attention to the details and did a first rate job. Whenever they hit any issues they explained what was happening and what needed to be done. They also took an old closet and converted it to bookshelves. The work was also excellent quality I am looking for other things for them to do at my house. I will use Reid again and would happily recommend him to others.

Reid and Kyle arrived exactly when they said they would. They were both very professional and efficient. I did not think they could finish all the work we wanted in one day but they did it in seven hours. All the work was as we requested and even more. Reid went over all the work we needed, told us what we would need and while we obtained the items from Lowe's, he started work on the light switches we already had available. It was a pleasure to get all this work done so quickly by someone so nice. We will definitely use him again anytime we need any work done around the house. I highly recommend Reid's Remodeling.

After completion of the project and final payment, the shower knobs started coming loose and fell off. It turns out that they were not installed properly and Mr. Reid Irving did not follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. Several attempts to contact Mr. Reid Irving to fix the shower were in vein - Mr. Reid Irving did not return our phone calls or responded to our attempts to contact him. We had to replace all the shower fixtures since Mr Reid Irving made alterations to them and as a result they were no longer usable/repairable. This resulted in significant additional costs to us.

Reid was great, the new kitchen door looks good and he corrected part of the existing frame that was in place for 50 years, wrong. It looks 100% better than the old. Great work.

He listened to what I was trying to accomplish & succeeded with the final product. He showed up when he said he would. He brought 2 helpers. All were very professional. Did the work so that you couldn't tell there was an opening in the wall before. Cleaned up very nicely and finished ahead of schedule. Came in within budget.

Thanks to him I got the correct contracter and thanks to Angie's List I found a company that got my work done.

Reid was very professional from returning phone calls, keeping us up to date on his arrival times, and understanding our needs. They had the garage ceiling repaired in no time, even after making sure everything was covered with plastic before beginning. The demolition and removal of the wall went smoothly, an electrical outlet was moved and we even gained an extra, much needed one! We were very impressed with Reid and Kyle's thoroughness in cleaning up as well. Overall, the did an excellent job and we plan on using them again in the near future for our bathroom. It is so nice to find someone who is honest and respectful and can complete a job on time!

Reid was timely, neat, extremely reasonable and very dependable. His work was fantastic and we already thinking of another tile job for him to do. Highly recommend him.
