It took 8 days for them to trouble shoot the install. They sent a new installer every day. Then the last guy said "that's the pit falls of being the first one in a new community". Finally a month later they replaced the wire that the supervisor said they needed to do and corrected the problem, or so they say. Its been now two months and they have been here almost 20 times, cant get channels that are supposed to be standard, the internet is slow and I pay for the fastest one. The system goes down at start of a small storm and takes forever to re=boot. Needless to say the residents are voting them out of the community.

It went just fine. The service tech showed promptly within our appointment time. Although he encountered some technical difficulties in making the switch in the phone service, he worked through them very professionally, and was very thorough about then checking to make sure that all of my Bright House services were working properly.

Grumpy employee. Not happy with service (appeared lazy) as the REPLACED cable was on the OUTSIDE of the house instead of dropping a new wire from the attic connection where the existing connection was (note this provided was the one that wired the original connection several years prior). Was told it was their policy to install like this. Now, when do you have a $200K house that has cable wiring on the OUTSIDE. Was given a $10 credit towards the $39 installation charge. NOT happy even though the TV connection is now working.

They tried their hardest, I'm sure, but it didn't rate up to a first class company. I requested a refund of sorts, no response yet.

Their service has been good. I called one time with a billing issue and the lady who answered couldn't identify herself and I could hardly understand a word she spoke. I was irritated by that. I would recommend that people read the contract properly and understand what you're paying for. Their prices are competitive.

We recently called Brighthouse to see about reducing our monthly internet bill. They said the only internet speed they offered below what we already had, 10 mbs, was 1mbs. While this is a slow connection, we were assured it was enough to check e-mail and open web pages, but not stream movies or play games. We felt it would suit our needs so we downgraded. Brighthouse sent someone out to the house to throttle down the connection at the pole. After about a week we noticed the connection was getting slower & slower so I called and they sent someone out to check. He did a thorough check and told me I was getting the connection I was paying for and he wasn't used to seeing such slow speeds because most people pay for more. Our 1 mbs cost $40.00 month and it is too slow even for the usage they suggested. I am currently researching other internet providers who provide internet speeds in 1, 3, 6, 10 mbs and up for more reasonable costs. I feel that Brighthouse shouldn't sell a service that is inferior. It would help their customer relations and satisfaction if they would sell a true Lite internet connection of 3-5 mbs.

Downgrades of internet service are not conducted at the pole. They are done in the billing system only which remotely configures the modem to deliver the subscribed speeds. Any technician who you noticed outside was likely activating or servicing another account not yours. If you have any questions about your service we encourage you to call Customer Care to ensure everything is working correctly.

The installer showed up at 11 pm for a 2-5 pm appointment window. The installer spent the whole time complaining about his company and did not install the cable. He claimed he could not find the wires. Brighthouse did not call me back to reschedule after several calls. They did nothing to expedite the installation. I canceled the service and switched to a competitor.

Whenever we have had an issue with service or once with billing they have always answered the phone quickly, been helpful and polite, and they have always resolved the issue right away. Calling the company connects you with an American here in america... refreshing!

Though it took the installer three weeks to get to my home when he did it went well. He was very professional and observant of our landscaping so he didn't disturb our plantings when he ran and buried the cable. He double check that the system s working correctly and left all within 45 minutes. We were pleased.

Service call as my cable was not working. Serviceman repaired my connections and also reprogrammed our remote which enabled us to use only one remote for everything instead of switching between remotes for different devices. Very pleasant and efficient. I've also called Brighthouse when I first bought our plasma TV a few years back and he stayed with me to on the phone to talk me through several issues that made me understand how my TV works with my cable. Also, very patient and pleasant.

Employee was early for his appt. and was very prompt in installing and setting up cable box for my daughters tv. While he was waiting for programing he noticed my daughter's guitar and wrote instruction for her to help her playing. He checked the box to make sure it was working properly and then gave me full instuctions on using the cable box.

Took way too long (4 weeks) to get internet into our home. There were probably 6 different technicians involved who never communicated between themselves. Customer Service Reps were always kind and responsive, however that didn't translate to the technicians who couldn't communicate their updates of our home. Admittedly, it was complicated as we didn't have a cable hookup, but the whole process took almost a month. We eventually lost patience and got cable through another provider, yet we couldn't do so with Internet. When it was all said and done, our final technician showed up at 8 pm one night to hook us up. He cut a few costs for us, because he understood our issues.

There were 2 guys, one worked on wiring outside of house and then they completed the inside. Were very professional and it only took about an hour. They explained how everything worked and showed us all of the features of DVD player too. Would recommend them.

We had a major lighting strike in our neighborhood which damaged the outside Brighthouse cable box. The subsequent power surge to the coaxial cable fried our Brighthouse dvr and the surge passed through the HDMI from the Brighthouse dvr and ruined our television and Blu-ray player (est cost $1500.00). We are longtime Brighthouse customers with many opportunities to switch providers but haven't, because we were always pleased with their outstanding customer service and response to any technical problems. Given the response to the resent incident and complete utter disregard for our situation, I wish we had switched to Verizon long ago. I spoke with several neighbors that were also effected by the major lightning strike and only the ones with problems were those who had Brighthouse. Similarly, they too had had issues with their dvr and connected equipment. BUYER BEWARE: Brighthouse's website states that it does not encourage use of surge protection other than for a/c because Brighthouse provides a ground block. This is the minimum required by the FCC (so we learned). What we also learned is that this copper wire ground block will do no good if lighting strikes near by, and Brighthouse knows this but does nothing to anticipate a problem. In short, what happens in your house, stays in your house and Brighthouse (even if connected) is not responsible! We had a Brighthouse rep visit our house and offer to complete the paperwork to present to our home insurance. This doesn't seem right. Their system failed and as a result, our property was damaged. Shouldn't the Brighthouse insurance pay for damage done to our property? In my business, if my product fails, I have insurance coverage to protect my customers. It appears Brighthouse does not. To put an exclamation point on the Brighthouse customer service experience, my daughter overheard Brighthouse rep. Scott Blue make the comment to the other Brighthouse rep. (visiting our neighbor who was having similar issues) that, "this is their problem, and not ours." Nice way to treat a longtime customer, or any customer for that matter. So much for customer service.

When we first signed up I told the provider we didn't have a lot of money. We only wanted internet and phone service. The guy said they had a special package in which THE PRICE WOULD NEVER CHANGE. I inquired as to how much and they said $50 per month plus tax. At the end of the first year I got a bill that went up 15 dollars. I called and told customer service the problem and they said that it was only an introductory offer but since we had trouble, they would give it to us one more year and only move the amount of the bill up $5 per year after that. At the end of that year (which was last fall of 2013) our bill went up $15 again. So I called customer service once again and told them the story. The lady on the line as much as called me a liar and said there was nothing she could do for me and furthermore the bill would go up more the following year. It is now about $65 dollars and she told me it would go up to as much as $100 per month. She was very adamant and rude and got off the phone very quickly. The surly attitude really made me angry. I am presently looking for another provider. and am going to change as soon as I can find one priced reasonably.

The technicians have become more knowledgeble to keep up with technology. I am still unable to get wi-fi through our entire home (which is extremely irritating at times).Buy up on the internet speed.They guarantee 80% spped so if you buy 60MB they guarantee 48. Still better that AT&T or Direct TV

Upon moving to Myakka City FL, I had Bright House install cable TV, using an existing outlet. After about a month, I realized this is not where I wanted either the cable TV outlet or the internet modem. I asked Bright House to come out and relocate the cable outlet to another part of the large LR, which entailed cable running up and over a doorway frame. And I also wanted the internet modem moved to the other side of the house and wired there. For this, I expected to pay for a service call. Not only did I not pay a penny, but the service call and the tech were about as good as I've ever experienced with any cable-type of installation. It took a couple of hours to do the work, and it was done superbly. Given the not-so-great experiences I have have had in other locales with TWC, DirecTV, etc, this was a very pleasant surprise. And 2 prior visits from Bright House also went quite well. Kudos on jobs well done!

In 2006 I hired Brighthouse to install my cable, phone, and internet service. The day of the install Brighthouse sent a contractor to my home called Knight Enterprises. Only a phone tech showed up claiming he knew nothing about installing cable wiring. He is a phone tech. But he did the install anyway and nothing was right, I had over 200 trouble calls from 2006 to 2014. Mike Manuli and Matt Pantton were the supervisors on call for my problems including Gregory Lake who was the repair tech. Gregory Lake was an excellent tech, he knew just what and how to find the problems. After sending Mr. Lake to another location my problems escalated and from that day Mr. Manuli never wanted to fix the problems. The house was to be rewired in 2010 per Mr. Doug Delk which was never done. In 2010, I was told to speak to either Mike or Matt, supervisors. I had a tech named Gregory come out and he was great. One time, a technician came out and my screen turned pink. He said there was something wrong with my tv. I bought another tv, hooked it up, and it was still pink. They had to come out and change the wiring. I also had to go over Mike’s head, because he would not honor a promotion, and he called me back and said how dare I go over his head. The next time I had to have someone come out, still in 2010, 2 men came. They tried to come through the doorway at the same time, and knocked over a planter. It chipped my driveway. I called and spoke to Mike, and he said that I was nothing but a problem and called me an ethnic name. He turned all of my service off. I spoke to the vice president, Gary Cassard, and he turned my service back on and reimbursed me for the planter and the driveway. He said that I would never have to deal with Mike again. He also said that my whole house needed to be rewired, but that never happened. I had problems with the cable box every other month. A black screen would come on that said to wait, and nothing would happen. It had to be re-booted all of the time. The vice president came out once with 5 trucks, and acted snotty, asking me what I wanted from them. I told him that I only wanted what I was paying for. On 1/2/14, Mike and 2 other men showed up to my house to fix the problem. I had an argument with him, and told him to leave my house. 2 days later, I received a letter that they were shutting my service off. They said that there had never been any trouble with my service. They gave me date of when to have the equipment shipped back to them. The letter also said that it was from the vice president, Gary, but he is no longer with the company. My last bill had a credit of $35 for issues with the service. Why would they send that if there had been no problems. I have switched to another service, which is excellent. They have since decided that I cannot have my phone number, even though they told me in the letter that I could take it with me. I spoke to a lawyer, who said nothing can be done. I also sent a fax to the president of the company, Naomi Miron-Burgen but I have not heard from her. I let channel 8 news know about the issue and sent a fax in reference to the problem as well. I asked in 2013 that I wanted to be reimbursed for the time I was left without service. All they gave was a credit of 123.00 and a $6.00 check for 7 years of horrible service. They sent me a lett stating I was going to be a sorry woman for leaving Bright house and joining verizon. Since I have joined Verizon I have had exceptional service and would recommend them to anyone. There is something wrong with customer service in Bright House. They take your money and treat you terribly. I was sent an email asking to sign up with Bright House again and definitely declined.
