We had lost water pressure in the kitchen facuet and had a leak under the sink because one of the pipes a previous owner had installed was too short. I called Bob, described the problem and he gave me an estimate over the phone. Within two hours he arrived to fix the problem. He was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He fixed both problems within no time. I will definately call Bob for any plumbing needs in the future.

On a recent Saturday morning as I stepped out into the garage around 9:00am I stepped onto a soaking wet piece of carpet, and could see that water was dripping heavily from the bottom of the hot water heater. We have lived in this house since 1983, and the house was built in 1964. Believe it or not, the hot water heater was original to the house. I got Bob Hyps number from the latest edition of Angie's List magazine, and called him because of his proximity to our location. When I called, I got the answering machine, but left a message describing my problem, and hung up. As I looked over the other numbers on the list and was just about to start dialing, the phone rang and it was Bob apologizing for the answering machine. After a brief discussion of our situation, Bob said that he would be able to do the work the same day, but not until somewhat later, possibly around 4:30 or 5:00pm. I explained that I had been forced to shut of the water to the entire house, as there was no accessible shut-off valve on the water heater itself. Bob said he would make a couple of calls to see if he could move us up on his schedule, and would call us back in a half hour or so. At about 11:00am Bob called back to say that they could come earlier, and that they were going to go by their warehouse to pick up the replacement water heater and would be out in about 90 minutes. Between 12:30pm and 1:00pm Bob and his helper Ryan showed up, and I showed them the old water heater, which was located on a platform about 6 feet up in the rear corner of the garage. They worked for almost an hour and a half just getting the old water heater out of it's "nest", mainly because it had been there for so long that the drain valve would not allow the tank to drain because of "sludge" built up in the bottom of the tank. It was far to heavy to lift while still holding so much water, so they had to drain it from the top with a shop-vac! Through everything they tried to keep things as neat and dry as possible, which was important to me because the washer and dryer were right under where the water heater sat. They finally got the old water heater down and the new one installed a little after 3:00pm. Bob added a turn-off valve up at the top of the water heater so that I would be able to turn off the water here in the future, as opposed to having to turn off the water to the entire house. Also, Bob asked me I wanted them to haul off the old water heater, and explained that the charge for that was an additional $15. Since I really had no other way of disposing of it, I was glad to pay the $15 to have it removed. About 20 minutes after they left I noticed a small leak by one of the valves on top of the heater. I called Bob on his cell phone to explain, and he said they would be back right after the job they were on at that time. True to his word they were back in about an hour to correct the problem, and everything seems to be working just fine now. Bob is courteous and efficient. I Recommend.

Got 1/2 trip charge because of Angie's List ($33.75). This is more than double the coupon in the magazine!

The work went very well. He got stuck in traffic on his way to my home, but did call to let me know he was going to be a few minutes late.

He was excellent because he was a perfect gentleman and he cleaned up when he was finished. He was pleasant to work with and I felt his price was fair.

Good. Bob and his helper were wonderful. They advised us on the job and helped us decide what was best for our new house. We were very happy with his job.

Mr. Hyps and another worker arrived five minutes before their scheduled arrival time. I thought it might take all day to fix these problems, but Mr. Hyps got right to work on the toilet and the other worker started installing the water heater. When they finished those projects they both worked on clearing the sewer line and were done with everything in about two and a half hours. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. We had used this company before when our toilet sprang a leak the first time, which was on a Friday evening. Bob Hyps arrived within an hour of our call and fixed the problem. We will definitely use this company again for future plumbing needs.

HE IS VERY RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER QUESTIONS. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS HE IS QUICK TO INVESTIGATE AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE HIM AGAIN.

He is punctual and offers weekend appointments. Very reliable and highly recommend.

It was a very good experience. He showed up on time and just did a great job for us.

All was fine except for cost- 1 hour worth of work, $85 labor cost, & $65 service charge- rip off.

Everything about him was excellent! He is a great guy! We totally trust him, and he and his partner are hard workers.

Bob arrived about 20 minutes late. He got right to work on a not-very-pleasant, two-hour job that entailed belly-crawling in the dirt underneath our 1923 home. After that job, he didn't have time to repair a small (easy) leak at the shower handle, and he generously offered to return on the weekend to finish up. We're very happy to have Bob as our plumber. He is always accessible by phone and always promptly returns calls. He has a very professional work ethic. (We haven't shopped around, so we don't know how his prices compare to those of other plumbers.)

Not cheap, but less expensive than many others would have charged on a Sat. Always a genuine pleasure to do business with Mr. Hype. He's professional, fair-priced, and quite charming.

SUPER FRIENDLY, VERY NICE, ALWAYS AVAILABLE, EVEN WHEN I DIDN'T KNOW HE NEEDED TO SEE SOME OF THE TILE WORK WHILE IT WAS BEING DONE. A LITTLE PRICEY (I THINK, NOT SURE) BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! WE'RE HAPPY TO HAVE A NEW PLUMBER!

IT WAS MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER ESTIMATES I GOT. HE WAS VERY NICE. I HIGHLY RECOMEND HIM. I WILL BE USING HIM AGAIN SOON FOR OTHER WORK I NEED DONE.

BOB WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE WAS ALSO VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MY HEALTH.

THIS MAN IS A VERY NICE MAN, AND HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE WILL WORK WITH YOU AND CAN BE VERY CREATIVE! HIM AND HIS HELPER DUG THE SEWER LINE SO FAST I THOUGHT THEY WERE USING SPECIAL EQUIPMENT BUT THEY WERE JUST USING SHOVELS.
