I purchased a foreclosed home that had a lot of problems. The shower did not work at all in 1 bathroom and the master shower only produced cold water. When I went to hookup the washing machine and I turned the water on, the water sprayed all over! I called Bob and he was wonderful he showed up when he said he would and did a wonderful job and at a very reasonable price. He was even great with the dogs who are not always well behaved!!! I would definitley recommend Bob and plan to use him for any future plumbing needs.

Thanks to Bob it went great. Bob told us who to call to locate leak in wall, and once that was found Bob came in and opened up wall to replace drain line that was defective.

We have used his services before to fix plumbing issues during a bathroom remodel so called Bob & his assistant when we had current problem. Very polite, professional and clean up after themselves. They fixed a really badly clogged bath tub. Also kept running out of hot water quickly in one bathroom although we have a large hot water tank and the rest of the house still had plenty. He fixed the problem. Have used his services multiple times and will again. Will recommend Bob to everyone.

We have 1960's house with the old concrete double basin sink in the garage. It was time for a new faucet and copper piping due to a small remodel. Bob and Max ran a little late, but he was very good about calling to make us aware of that , and was there 20 minutes later. The work was done very well and he even corrected a small problem with the new faucet. We highly recommend Bob for anyone looking for a great job at a fair price by very friendly people.

Quick response efficient installation and clean up and a surprisingly low cost

Cleared out a clog in the sewer line of a bathroom shower. Since we don't have an access outside the house, they had to try going through the vent pipe on top of the roof. The clog turned out to be too far down the line, so they came back inside and removed the toilet and ran the cable from that point. Because we had our bathroom tiled about three years ago, they had to use a Dremel tool to cut the grout around the toilet to free it up. They were very good about protecting the carpet by placing cloths along the walkway and cleaned-up everything after all was done. In the end the job turned out very well.

Great service! Bob was knowledgeable and friendly, answered questions prior to service about what i should buy and things i should know. Came out on time the day of service even with the nasty cold rain. I will definately use again!

Everything went great. They were very pleasant and professional. They were always on time and worked on the weekends. They worked very hard.

In mid November, on Monday evening, I noticed the water not quite as hot as usual. Not paying much attention to it till that night, when shower time came, it felt even colder. So Tuesday late afternoon, (the earliest I had opportunity) I called Bob Hyps Plumbing. They could come the first thing next morning. Which was fine. Bob and his partner in crime, Max, showed on time, and began examining the water heater. All the connections were checked, the elements, etc.... Although there was no ONE major thing wrong, (other than old-age, And the fact that the inside was probably in pretty bad shape because it hadn't been flushed out in over 15 years, And the fact our State has extremely hard water- which is terribly abusive on plumbing fixtures; All facts I've long known), the only thing found out was that the temperature was set fairly low. Even though there hadn't been any problems previous to now. And Bob raised the temp. in the unit. So it became evident to me that the Wtr Htr was losing its insulating capabilities. I had known for a while that it would need replacing soon. It was almost 20 years old. This cost $50 About 2 - 3 wks later I discovered a small leak under my kitchen sink, where I store my cleaning supplies. I couldn't tell how long it had been leaking, or from where, but it wasn't gushing. I called Bob Hyps Plumbing and scheduled next day. They came out first thing next morning. Bob and Max went to work immediately. Removed old metal piping, sealing and installing new pcvc white and repositioning the dishwasher hose away from storage area, and cleaning up the area. This cost $71.95 About 4 days later (Dec 7), I started having problems with the water heater again. Sediment and metal flecks in the hot-water only, brown water, temp vary, etc.,, I had had the County out to check the outside pipes and they suggested "Water Heater". I knew the water heater was on it's way out, I had only hoped to get through the first part of the New Year. But when I thought about if something happened over the holidays and I couldn't get the work done right away then, It wouldn't make for a very Merry Christmas. So when I called Bob Hyps Plumbing, I didn't know if it would be worth it, but I spoke to him first about flushing out the heater and cleaning it. He too, thought this would be a waste of my money, and time, since I would need a new unit eventually anyway. So I ordered a unit and arranged for installation the following afternoon. Bob and Max showed as arranged, and drained, disassembled and removed old unit. Cleaned area for installation of new unit, (assembled and installed with correct piping and soldering) This cost $612

The work is excellent. The fees are extremely reasonable. They offer same day service. He is very personable. The first time he came he brought his wife. He was here over an hour and only charged us $100. He did a wonderful job.

Everything went very well. I thought he was prompt and courteous, and he was able to fix the problem at a fair price.

He has always done a great job for me. He is a just an over all great plumber and would recommend him to anyone.

Bob came out late on Sunday night when we had a major backup. He showed up quickly, didn't charge a trip fee. Happy with his work.

He provided excellent service, was punctual, professional, and his costs were reasonable.

He is a pro. An old fashioned guy who still has pride in his work. I would use him and recommend him to everyone.

I would not call him again simply because I would need a plumber willing to crawl under my house to look for leaky pipes.

He came in and got the job done and did it in a timely manner.

Second time I had used Bob (found his company on Angie's list) and found him very easy to deal with and professional and willing to come at a time convenient to my busy schedule. Price was reasonable in light of the time used and service performed.

I've worked with contractors for years and it is my experience that they always offer a discount to customers off retail price with many even passing along the full contractor discount. Because of the amount of materials involved it and the cost of my choices knowing what level of discount he offered off the fixtures was important. When my contractor told him I wanted to know how much off retail I should calculate before making certain choices he flew off the handle and stated he was too busy to work with people who were going to nickle and dime him to death (this did come from my contractor). Because I was not 100% comfortable with him due to my first conversation and then after he accused me of nickle and diming him and being offended that I would even ask for a discount we decided he would not be the best choice for our job. Besides my contractor also stated she would not want to work with someone who came across as so arrogant. I can't comment on the quality of his work but he was not the plumber for my job.

I bought this toilet from Saul Plumbing six months ago. Saul Plumbing would not exchange the toilet as it was considered used once out of their store. I would not pay Saul Plumbing an additional cost to have it fixed. I put up with it till today. I called Bob Hyps and he repaired it. He showed up at the specified time and I was very pleased with the results. I promised him I would leave a report with Angie's list. I would certainly call this contractor again.

Called them to get an estimate. I got a call back within 30 minutes. When I mentioned I needed a free estimate, his answer was "I will see when I can fit you in, my paying jobs have priority". Never called me back. I guess he has enough paying jobs that he is not interested in trying to get my business. In my line of business (medical field) we give free visits to potential customers to try to get their business.

They were very responsive and I thought the pricing was very economical.

He is excellent. He wanted to see if the water heater could be repaired before telling me that it would need to be replaced. He had the part that he needed to fix on his truck. It only took him about an hour and half to do the work. He took the time to vacumm it out to make sure that there would be no water leaking on my hardwood flooring. He's just excellent.

He came right out and was able to tell what the problem was right away. He was done with the work within an hour. He did a great job. I would absolutely use him again and actually have since then.

The issue it self was frustrating, however, Bob was available each time to do his part of the job. He was prompt, responsive and professional. I appreciated his efforts. Everything was completed accurately, efficiently and with reasonable costs. I would have him do more plumbing work in the future. Thanks,! Bob!
