I highly recommed Bob Hyps Plumbing! Overall, I would rate the experience an A+. Both Bob and the employee that assisted him were professional and courteous. Bob was quick to set up an appointment and arrived on time. They worked efficiently and cleaned up after the project.

Bob, the owner, came out the first time. He sent out two of his employees on the 2nd job, who also were on time, knowledgeable, neatly dressed, friendly, and professional. They also didn't leave the job with a mess for me to clean up. Bob came out a third time with one of his employees on a different problem and I received the same great service. If time permits, i would avoid over-the-phone estimates with any company. I have needed a number of different services in my home and until the repair person comes out and actually sees the job, over -the-phone estimates are pretty meaningless, I have found.

Excellent, prompt service. We needed to have the issue resolved since new tenants were arriving. Bob was on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. Also, gave a guarantee for 60 days on the work. Since we are new to the area we are thrilled to have found a good plumber for both our home and investment property.

Bob Hyps is a small 2-man crew based nearby; we prefer working directly with the owner/craftsman. We hired Bob mainly to fix a leaky Moen shower valve, but added lots of other tasks to make best use of his visit--including install 2 new showerheads, install one new powder room faucet assembly, fix a leaky toilet seal, and flush the hot water heater. Bob arrived on time last week. He and his able assistant divided up the work and got it all done in 2.75 hours--all but the kitchen sink flange replacement. Bob spent nearly an hour disassembling the disposer and installing what turned out to be the WRONG flange that I had purchased at Lowes. Today, a week later, Bob returned to install the correct flange I'd specially ordered from the mfr. Total charge for BOTH visits was $325--MINUS the $25 coupon Bob offers to Angie's members. The charge INCLUDED a new Moen valve cartridge and toilet parts that Bob supplied. Total LABOR charge --not counting parts and coupon-- was app. $265, which I believe is an excellent value for all the work that was done--over 6 man-hours. Bob's quirky sense of humor appears to have rubbed a couple customers the wrong way, but we found him and his helper pleasant and easy-going, as well as quite skillful and reasonable compared to other plumbers we have dealt with. Based on the total experience we would move Bob Hyps to the top of our list of local plumbers and call on him for any future work.

I have used Bob Hyps for the past couple of years to take care of various plumbing issues. He was always able to squeeze me in to his schedule, usually same day, and address the issue promptly. He fixed various plumbing problems in my house as they arose, such as a problem with not receiving hot water, and fixing two shower heads, as water was leaking into the wall, and into the next room with one, and the other one just stopped working. He fixed all the problems, and was very reasonably priced. He and his assistant Max are very friendly, too, which makes for a very pleasant "plumbing experience." I highly recommend!

Mr Hyps was prompt, helpful and courteous. He drove to Tarpon Springs to obtain parts for the bathroom faucets. He also cleaned up after he finished his work.

Woke up to a clogged drain in the bathroom on a Saturday morning. Checked Angie's List and called Bob. He was in the middle of a job but after asking about my needs he said he would call back when finished. He did just that and was here and had me fixed within the hour. Super nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone. A great experience.

Overall experience was good from start to finish.

Attitude was terrible. Acted like he was doing us a favor. It was on a Sat. but you will note he shows Sat. working hours. When asked how much he would charge he quoted a very high price (we didn't realize the price was so high compared to others at the time) compared to what other plumbers would charge but indicated he would be here within an hour which was important to us because we had out of town company. I did ask what he would charge if we waited until Monday and he said the same. He came to the house not in the hour he said but about three hours later. We had to provide the disposal because we wanted a size he could not provide. On the Angie's List web site he had a coupon for $25.00 but wouldn't honor it saying he isn't charging overtime which was never brought up at the time we spoke to him. At the time to pay him I was picking up someone at the airport and my guests as well as my wife said he was argumentative and very difficult to deal with. It's all about attitude and his was terrible! I would never use him again, none of my neighbors would and hopefully anyone reading this review won't.

Very well. They could have performed un-needed services but didn't and only charged me for travel.

Bob was extremely responsive with our inquiry and suggestions. He offered opinions and also provided research based on our preferences. We ultimately went with his recommendation. He procured the toilet and he and his crew installed it at the appointed time -- very punctual, clean and professional. A day after installation, we experienced a problem of a failed valve -- no fault of the crew -- but, they came out immediately and fixed it and only charged us for the replacement part. I can thankfully say this was one of the best experiences I've had with plumbers. I would definitely use Bob and his crew again.

It went very well. Came when he said he would be there. Started work on the sink right away. Cleaned up any mess he made and the sink looks great. My husband can't remember the gentlemans name that came but said he was very nice and very informative on what he was doing. We would for sure call them again when/if we need a plumber again.

Max (technician) came out quickly and was very informative. We were able to get our repairs done quickly and efficiently. Would definitely use them again.

Called Bob Hyps Plumbing after the in-laws came to visit for Christmas and flushed some cotton wipes down the toilet causing the entire house to back up. They came out within a couple hours and cleared it quickly. There were some minor roots in our pipe going to the street as well that they cleared out. Price was a little higher than other plumbers I've used in the past for the same service but was still reasonable and considering the speed of response and it being the day after Christmas I have no complaints. Bob is a little sarcastic and I could see how that might be a turn off to some who might want someone a bit more 'serious' but all I really care about is getting my problem resolved and he did that. He was also very polite to my guests who were still here with their small children running around.

I was washing my car, when I saw water coming from the other side of the fence. I saw that I twisted the line to the water spicket and caused it to crack. It was just above the T to the hose and I had to shut off the main water. I called BOB and him and his assistant came the same day. These guys have the best personalities and were very cool! Bob cracked a joke right away to get me to laugh about the situation. The fixed the problem right away and was done within an hour. I will recommend these guys to anyone.

It was a successful experience. I was impressed with Bob's professionalism and he did the job quickly.

We called Bob and explained our situation. He gave us the quote over the phone and even let us know the service would be cheaper if we waited until Monday. We decided to have them come out on Sunday anyway. To our surprise Max and Camron were at the house within 45 minutes!! These two young men were very polite, professional and incredibly efficient. They cleared our clogged drain and made sure everything in the other bathrooms and kitchen were working properly before they left. BOB HYPS PLUMBING, INC is now our only plumber!

The new knob went well. The outside water line pipe looked like a weaving snake that was attached poorly to objects along the way. The filter piping fell off the wall, requiring a return call. It is a very sloppy job. The pipes do not align up at all. I am very disappointed and I do not trust them to try to fix it; I'm afraid it will end up worse than it already is.

It was apparent that we had a water leak in the master bathroom. Bob Hyps quickly diagnosed the problem as a shower pan leak and helped us selected a great contractor (Ed Armas: E.A Contracting Inc). Ed removed the existing shower door, demo and dispose of the tile to expose the shower pan membrane at which point Bob Hyps repaired and replaced the shower pan. Then Ed built up a mud base for the floor, replaced any water damaged wall board, retiled the floor, grouted the area and replaced the shower door. this job was complicated by the cramp inefficient design of beach condo. Bob and Ed are amiable detailed oriented professionals. If you are considering a bathroom remodel or unfortunately you experience a plumbing emergency why stress just hire Bob Hyps and you will have one less headache in your life.

I called Bob (from Angies List) and he had no problem coming to our home on Sunday. Bob and Max showed up on time, snaked the drain and the water went down. What a wonderful experience! Old fashioned customer service they way it is supposed to be! Excelllent job. Bob is my new plumber now and I have already shared his name with friends and family.

I called Bob Hyps Plumbing late in the day on a Sunday afternoon. He came out Monday and replaced my old leaky hot water heater with a better one in less than an hour at half the cost of my old one. I finally found a good plumber I can trust. I will definitely use him again. A good, trustworthy plumber is hard to find.
