Bay City Tree Service Inc

I have been using since 1990. They clean up well when they are done with the work. They accidentally broke off my under ground sprinkler pipe and they were out here the very next day to fix it. I trust him to do the work for me.

Excellent. Our condo interviewed four tree services. We chose Bay City Tree Service based on three things: they are on Pinellas County's list of certified arborists, they have a great record with Angie's List and Duane seemed the most knowledgeable of all those we interviewed. We are very happy with his service. He arrived on time with his crews and they all got right to work. The entire job was completed before noon and our grounds and parking areas were left spotless. They were professional from start to finish. They are the only tree service we will use from now on.

Wonderful. Duane came out promptly and gave a reasonable estimate. His crew arrived 2 days latter and did the work. Took away all the debris and leveled out the the removal area. The crew was efficient and professional. The next time I have tree work to be done, and I will, Bay City Tree will be the company I call.

I called Duane and he came out the same day for the estimate. I agreed to the quote on the spot and he arranged for the service to be completed 4 days later. Duane wasn't going to be able to be at my home on the day of the service, so he came by the day before with his foreman to go over the work that needed to be done. I was going to ask him to grind another stump from a small fruit tree I had cut down the day before, but he noticed it and said they would do it before I even had a chance to ask him about it. His crew came out the next morning and got right to work. My trees hadn't been trimmed for many years so the work was pretty substantial, but they finished in about 2 hours. When they were done, the foreman walked me around to check the work. I couldn't be happier with the results. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and the trees look great!

The experience was excellent. Showed up on time, got it done quickly, cleaned up everything. Used 2 bucket trucks at the same time along with a BobCat to load the chipper. Most efficient tree job I've ever seen.

Mr. Perkins responded the same day to my call and came to make the estimate. The job was scheduled for the next work day. The crews came on time. They worked steadily and professionally. Mike, the crew leader took me for a walk-around when the job was completed. There were a couple of adjustments I wanted done, and he took care of them. Later, Duane Perkins the owner came to inspect the work. There were a couple of little twigs growing out of large limb, and Duane got a ladder and removed them. I have used this company before and will certainly use them again.

I always call them when I have tree work done. They are very prompt and professional. They are very knowledgeable about trees. He is an aborist.

Used a pointer to show which branches would be cut. Had a lift to use in the back yard for tall trees.

Duane perkins was prompt in returning initial phone call. He even appeared 2 days earlier than the original estimated date. He was very professional skilled courteous, and had a wealth of knowlege about trees that he was not reluctant to share. Duane appeared as his crew was working to check progress and customer satisfaction level. They were fast, careful and thorough. They appeared well equiped with with the machinery to do the job as well as the skill to operate the equipment. Clean-up was so thorough that except for the missing offending trees and branches I never would have known they had been there. HOWEVER, while I consider the work "well done" and the price reasonable there was (and still is) a payment issue. I paid the 1650.00 fee PLUS the 3% Duane said the Visa would charge him because I used a credit card which came to an additional $50.00 (total bill:1700.00). I thought I had made an error when I thought they took credit cards. They do take credit cards.

We were impressed with Mr. Perkins. He came out when he said he would and gave us a detailed estimate of what he felt needed to be done to restore the health of the tree. All our questions were answered to our satisfaction. We were relieved to know his crew was insured and covered by Workman's Compensation. The crew arrived when they said they would and were efficient and very courteous. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs tree services done. We will be using them for all our future tree service needs.

Duane Perkins, owner, was very professional took time to explain and also tried to get neighbor to grant crew access for easier removal of tree. Duane left to another job and crew continued on. If crew damages something, tell them they need to be upfront about it and try not to hide it happened. Even thought I watched the whole thing, I had to pull teeth to get an acknowledgment. This cost the crew a $250 tip I was ready to give.

They did more than an excellent job. You would have never known that they trimmed the tree. The did not leave a mess and they did a bang up job. Tony did the work. It was a really fair price.

Bay City Duane Perkins and his employees know customer service! The whole experience was perfect, from first call, to last ring at my door bell, to ask if it was done to my liking. They were prompt to respond, communicated when they would arrive and gave good pricing. Duane even gave me advice on other things in my yard, not to make a sale, but to help me make sure my trees and plants would be healthy. It's obvious his certification as an arborist, adds to his services since he made my traveler palm look like it belonged at a resort. His employees were very polite, did a great job and cleaned up quickly. I will call Bay City for any of my future tree needs and recommend them highly!

Duane was very prompt in contacting me. He discussed thoroughly what was going to be done to the tree. The work was done very professionally and in a timely manner. They cleaned up the site thoroughly. The workers were polite and courteous. I was very pleased with the final appearance of my tree!

Duane Perkins is the owner and a certified arborist. He is on the job the whole time, explains what needs to be done, why, and the cost of each procedure. He is prompt and thorough. We have neighbors who paid more to have trees cut down than we paid to keep ours healthy. We use no poisons or synthetics on our property in 43 years.

The price was fair for what needed to be done. It would have been $8,000 to remove these very large trees and Duane saved them. I am very happy with the work and will hire them again! They were on time and did exactly what was on the work order!

Duane, a certified arborist, came the same day to give me an estimate about whether the tree needed to be removed and the cost of the job. When i called to schedule, they came within one week. They came at exactly the time they had told me on the phone the day before when they confirmed with a cherry picker, grinder, chipper, and all equipment. Their equipment appeared to be very well maintained and the men were very professional. They completed the whole job in about 3 1/2 hours including clean up of all of the debris. They left the yard in excellent condition. Duane came by during the afternoon to check on the job and make sure all was going well. We were very impressed with the whole company and would highly recommend them.

Quick to respond with quote. We signed. They said 10-12 days. They came back on time - did the work and cleaned up. Trees very close to house. They did great job, removed all debris. We did not have stumps removed due to cost - but they cut trees very low to ground. No advance deposit. Did what they said they would - no drama.

Very well. Great job. By far the best price I was quoted. Other quotes were $1,400 for the same two trees that Bay City removed and $1,000 for just one of the trees that Bay City removed.

We were very impressed by Duane's knowledge as an arborist and his ability to explain the problems he saw. He treated me and my wife with equal respect. We decided to use his company (despite the fact that he was the most expensive of the three quotes we received) because of his professionalism and because he provides workers compensation insurance. The crew of 5-6 showed up on time. We were very impressed by the equipment; large trucks with hydraulic buckets neatly maintained and painted with the company name, bobcat bulldozers, stump grinders, chippers. Duane stopped by throughout the day to consult and check on progress. The original quote was for $1,875. However, the crew noticed extensive damage to a large oak once they got an aerial view and Duane advised to remove it. Bay City charged $700 additional (we split the cost with our neighbors) to remove the oak which seemed reasonable. They worked about 10 hours and rescheduled another afternoon job to complete ours.

They did a beautiful job and were very professional and courteous. He is also a licensed arborist.

Called in the morning to find out about getting an estimate, and Duane said he would be out that afternoon at 2pm. Duane showed up at the appointed time and explained in detail what they would need to do. He advised they were running about two to two and a half weeks before they could do the actual work, but that he would call the day before to let me know when they would be out. Duane called as promised, and his crew came the next day. Although no one was home, they did everything as per the estimate, and were very good about the clean-up process. Very good company to do business with.

Duane answered promptly, came out to give me a quote promptly and called to let me know when the crew would arrive. They arrived on time, did great work, and cleaned up! One of the crew even told me a story about how Florida got this type of tree which was very interesting. My first experience using Angie's List and I feel like I have gotten a return on my investment with one use.
