Duane and his crew are absolutley fantastic! They showed up on time and didn't stop working until the job was complete. They were very professional and took good care of my lawn. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely use them again.

We had a neighbor's very large oak tree limb in the road from a storm. As part of having that taken care of, we also had our oaks out front trimmed according to Bay City Tree's recommendations. Bay City Tree Service removed and mulched the huge fallen limb *the same day I called and subsequently spoke on-site with an estimator* (they squeezed me in at 5PM). The rest of the work was finished the next day. Our front yard and the street were cleaned up properly at the finish of the work. Prices are a little high due to worker insurance that most others do not offer their employees in this dangerous profession.

About the middle of October, Duane came out and gave me an estimate on the job. We agreed that I would call him the first of November to do the job. I called his office November 1, and he and his excellent crew were out here that very afternoon. They did their usual fine job and cleaned up all the debris, leaving my side yard in pristine condition. I may pay a touch more for Bay City Services, but they are absolutely top-notch, they are neat, courteous, and can be trusted to give you an honest assessment and recommendation. I wouldn't call anyone else for this kind of work. They have done jobs for me that were much more involved, like removing very large trees, and they can always be depended upon.

Mike was very professional, friendly and worked fast. Within two days of receiving a quote, he was able to get the job done. His price was extremely reasonable, and he even discounted it a little because it was for my grandpa's house. Thanks!

We called this company to come out and provide an estimate to remove limbs from a tree. I requested to speak with the arborist in person as I had questions about other trees in my yard. The office said someone would call to set up an appointment. We did get a call back (left message on voicemail) in a timely fashion. However, when I returned the call, the gentleman said he'd already left me an estimate on my front door for removal of the tree in question. That had not been our request, so I asked for a 2nd estimate and again asked that I speak to the arborist in person at my house. He did arrive later that same day and provided a fair estimate for the service I wanted. I asked what the lead time for performing the work and he responded he was two weeks out. We agreed to make an appointment and he told me I'd be getting a call back from the office to schedule a time. That was on 8/4/10. Fast forward to today, 8/21, someone from the office finally calls to schedule an appointment. When I told them we found someone else who could perform the work sooner once they didn't call us in that timeframe, the gentleman tried to put the blame back on me for not following up. If they want the business, they'll do the followup within the timeframe they outline to a prospective client. I shouldn't have to force someone to take my money. I guess they didn't want the work as it wasn't a big tree removal job.

They are great. The guy is a tree arborist. He is very good at what he does. I am very happy with him. I have a huge canary date palm tree and it has a condition. So, it needs to be injected. It is an expensive process. However, they come out and inject all around the trunk of the tree. The tree needs to watered everyday for 20 days. They come out again and remove the things. Later, they use fertilizer and other things on the roots. They have saved the tree twice for me in a span of two years. They have been very successful. They have also done some tree trimming and they have done a great job. The last time they came out I spent about $600. I think the price is competitive; it is a good price. I will use them again in the future.

Earlier this year Bay City had removed a very large live oak that was undermining my garage (an actual 8 degree tilt). I was very pleased with their certified arborist, Duane Perkins, and his and his team's expertise, professionalism, efficiency, and work ethic. I was also impressed that Duane gave me proof of insurance, both liability and workmen's compensation, upfront without having to ask for that information! That job was definitely $2000+ well spent. So when I needed additional work, I called again for an estimate and for advice as to what type of shade tree to plant in my back yard to replace the live oak. I needed something that wouldn't be out of place on a 40' x 110' lot. Duane suggested a winged elm, which was exactly what one of the Pinellas Extension representatives had suggested to me at the Green Thumb Festival in April! He located a beautiful, healthy 50-gal. tree and planted it for me in the perfect spot. I am extremely pleased with Bay City and have even passed out a few of their business cards to close neighbors and friends.

The crew was very professional, and it was obvious they were experts. They removed all the debris and swept up. After they left, I discovered that the driveway was covered with carrotwood stains from the heavy equipment running over the seeds from the tree. They were very embedded in the cement, and there were a lot of tire marks. I called Duane (the bossman) to see if he had any suggestions on how to remove the stains. He came out personally and agreed it required some work. He very quickly sent a man out to try to wash and bleach the driveway. It finally required a scrubbing with muratic acid, but the Bay City man kept at it and was able to remove almost all of the stain. What is most impressive is that this was all done voluntarily and with a desire to serve the customer. There was no reluctance or irritation at having to do the extra work. This is an example of how Bay City operates and is why I continue to use their services whenever I have tree problems of any sort.

I was very happy with their service. They came right out and trimmed about Three trees. It was a big job concerning three large oak trees, but I was very happy with the work.

This was the second time I used Bay City Tree Service and have never been disappointed. They provided the service in a timely manner and I got exactly what I wanted.

Good-Only problem was Duane lost our paperwork so he couldn't call me to set an appointment for an estimate! I'm a current customer so I called him and he was honest about what happened so I was understanding, but really, that is unprofessional. Otherwise, they came out, pruned the tree and cleaned up and did a wonderful job!

Mr. Duane Perkins is a gem.The project went Very well. Duane even called me and left messages on both my cell and home (which I GREATLY appreciated)phones to tell me he'd be a couple of hours late, but when I came home from my part time job about noon, the tree was gone! He also called back in the afternoon to make sure all my utilities were working - phone, cable, power, etc. - None of the contractors I have ever used has ever done that.

Duane and his employees were professional, take pride in their work and pay attention to detail. It was worth signing up to Angie's list to finally find a tree service that meets with my expectations.

Overall I was very happy with them. They did a good job and did not mess up anything. I thought it was a good value for the price. I was happy and it was a good experience.

Duane responded quickly to my request for an estimate and was willing to work around my schedule to meet me at my house. He discussed different options for me and was willing to proceed according to my wishes. The work was done the next day and was done expertly. His price was higher than some other estimates that I got but I trust Duane. He is a pleasure to work with. He has insurance and, his crew cleans up the yard beautifully they even took away some yard debris that I had created.

When I discovered old and new borer damage on a very tall pine tree behind our house, I called Duane at Bay City Tree Service, because we had hired his company before, and I knew he tries to save trees whenever possible. Although he thought we could save it, because the tree was growing at a steep angle that could fall on the house if a tropical storm hit, we decided to take out the whole tree. It looked like a difficult job to us, but the crew from Bay City Tree seemed to have no problem doing it. The cost was $850 plus a $20 permit from the City - worth the price for a job well done and a company that has workers compensation for its employees. Duane was quick to come give us the estimate, and his crew were here within days. At the time, Hurricane Ike was in the Caribbean so we were grateful to have the work done in case the storm came this way.

Duane and his crew were very good, courteous workers. They had very good equipment that allowed efficient work. When making his bid, he had received wrong and very low prices for the fertilizer, magnesium and trazadone. The work done was excellent. But the hedge took more than 2 hours time than expected. We gave him $400.00 more than the bid.

Duane responded to my initial call quickly. He visited the property and delivered a quote within a day. Bay City Tree Service was able to perform the work within a few days of my request.

Arrived on time with crew and several large pieces of equipment, including one that could maneuver into the back yard to remove the largest tree. This machine was a huge selling point for us as it eliminates the danger of men in trees with ropes and spurs. etc. The men worked hard, were polite, and finished in record time. The trimmed trees look lovely, not stripped, and I attribute this to the Arborist training by the company owner.
