Description of Work: This is an excellent company for fencing needs. They removed our old wooden fence on one side of our home and the front gates, and cleaned up afterwards. They replaced the fence and gates with vinyl ones and they look great. This was all done in little over one day. The men were on time for the job, and very professional. We would definitely use and recommend them for their quality work and products.

Description of Work: They installed a PVC fence around the rear of our pool allowing us to have a privacy area with plants inside of it....Its a family owned business and they have done two other big fence jobs on our street...They are very careful not to hit sprinklers or anything else in your yard...Highly recommend them it you are looking for fencing...

Description of Work: Backyard fence project was completed at the beginning of the year. Excellent job. After a few months, there was a problem with one of the gates. It took a few phone calls, but eventually it was repaired to my satisfaction. A job well done.

Description of Work: Took them several days to return my call and then told me they didn't service my area. I can't understand it since we are just a few miles away and our lawn man also recommended them to us. We are still looking for a dependable fencing company since these people didn't appear to service my area (zip 33756 Clearwater/Belleair).

Description of Work: I chose this company because of the wonderful feedback on Angie's List and I am happy to say I made the right choice. A-1 Fence is family owned and operated and they were great at communicating regarding the time line for installation (they were very busy :o). The installation of the PVC fence and two gates went smoothly and Eric listened and worked with me on my questions and requests. He has been installing for 20 years and it was comforting to know that his suggestions/advice was with a good and knowledgeable background. I would recommend this company for all fencing needs and would hire them again.

Description of Work: Had them install vinyl fencing (colored) along with 2 gates (about 160 linear ft total). They completed the job on the second day. Very good work, removed existing fence also. Would definitely reccomend them.

Description of Work: I contacted them through Angie's List and they never responded. I contacted a different company the next day and got an immediate response; they came out the next day to give me a quote and I immediately gave them the approval to order the fence and set up a date to install. A-1 lost my business.

Description of Work: Asked company to provide bid on building 270 feet of fence. The estimator came out promptly on January 13. She was courteous and professional. Assured me that she would come back with bid immediately. After 5 days I had not heard anything so I called to inquire. I was told they would get back to me immediately. 2 months later I still have not heard from them. It is an interesting way to run a for profit business. I must suppose that they cannot handle additional business.

Description of Work: Put in a fence on two sides and a gate. They were late getting started on the first day and still said they would have it done that same day. Not even close. I expected them in the morning and they didn't arrive until 4 p.m. I made a couple of phone calls throughout the day to determine their expected arrival time. They also came late the next day. I repeatedly told them I needed them done by noon the second day and was assured that would happen. They finally finished at 3 p.m. The work order was written up incorrectly therefore the side fence wasn't installed as originally agreed upon. I was told that what I wanted wasn't what I agreed on when I know in fact how the conversation went. Didn't appreciate being made to feel like a liar. The gate and another front panel weren't straight. I called to have Eric (owner) meet me at the house to discuss that and other issues and was told he would be there at 5 p.m. I left work early to meet him there and he had already come and gone. I never did see or talk to him throughout the process. The phone was never answered when I called, however I would receive a call back fairly quickly. Everyone was friendly enough, but don't expect to have the owner do the work. Two guys showed up, one with experience and a helper. I would have preferred to have someone more seasoned to do the work. This was a good chunk of money for me and I'm not very pleased with the outcome. The gate was fixed and now has a good gap that you can see through. The view of the fence on the neighbors side isn't great. I did the tear down and hall away of the old chain link and wooden fence to keep the cost down.

Description of Work: Hi, | |They arrived one day after I contacted them right on time. They measured for a fence quote which I received same day. The price was right and I have confirmed I'll use them. Getting permits and paperwork before confirmation of start date.

Description of Work: They did a great job. Had challenges with working around a number of large trees on the border of our property but after pushing back a bit they figured out how to make it work. Gates shifted a few days after being hung but Eric came out a few days later and made everything right. Overall I would hire them again.

Description of Work: I obtained an estimate on replacing my privacy fence. A-1 was punctual, informative, and even called me in advance to remind me of the upcoming appointment. The estimate was informative and the tech was knowledgeable. I got estimates from 3 companies and went with one that best fit my personal budget and schedule; A-1's price was in the middle of the 3 I obtained.
