They did a beautiful job and we were very pleased. After a strong wind, they even came back out and put a panel back up. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

Very cooperative with the estimate and working with me, however they started the job a day before they told me they were coming and did not inform me they were on site until I got home from work. The foreman on the job was very professional. During the installation, I was told by the foreman I didn't need to watch what he was doing, because he knew how to put in a fence. It is approximately one year after the install and, both large gates need adjustment and haven't worked properly for many months. I have called 3 times over the last 5 weeks and requested a service call, they have not come to do the adjustment and still cannot say when it will be done. Very poor customer service overall.

Initially the installation went well, Then at the end they made excuses and didn't finish on schedule Friday, and was suppose to be Monday-Friday Job and left my back open (i had a dog) and didn't secure back properly. Then the next week they "hurried" the job to finish because they were behind "their" schedule. I had a lot of problems with the posts not in right, the boards cracked and not hammered in and loose and the front gate settled overlapped. But they would never come back and I paid them 100% of the amount. Hardware does not last, the back gate will not open, the front 2 10'ft gates the hardware just was loose and not staying how they installed it. I had to fix many problems myself with concrete and gate hardware. They just "popped" over the house May 4, 2018 at 4pm, LUCKY I WAS HOME (installation was Feb 27, 2017 and complaints noted during those beginning months) The maintenance guy sorta fixed one gate and got it working again and said it really needs to be fixed right but they need to come back when they have time. Well.... as of June 15, 2018 they never called or came back again....

I use Angie’s List as my reference for any work to be done around the house. I have not been disappointed! When I reviewed A-1 Fence, the only thing I found bad was their responsiveness. Because of the remarks concerning quality of fence, I decided to use them and I was not disappointed. The crew who came out was very nice, They were meticulous with their work, making sure everything was leveled and they did an excellent job. I made a mistake when calculating how far I wanted the fence to extend and decided I needed one more panel. I realize that this job would not be a priority, but it has really been difficult to get a commitment from them.

Customer service was awful. Left before Quote was given. They assumed they had to wait because another fence company was finishing up a quote. Very & a company I would never do business with.

I was very pleased with the work and have referred the company to others

The Office person (Lynn I think) was great and did a wonderful job communicating with me to set expectations. The work was done quickly but one of the gates was installed incorrectly (the gate was too large.) The team was very responsive to fix that problem, but the end result was that the gate was installed a about a foot too close to the house. Not worth making another adjustment for. I would use A1 again, but would ask them to be a little more detailed on the measurements in their quotes to ensure everything comes out as expected

Never could get a date/time for an estimate.

The project went perfectly. Eric and his crew arrived when they said they would and the entire job was done professionally and as quoted. A-1 Fence is a family owned company and it was a pleasure doing business with them. I would highly recommend A-1 Fence to anyone.

Great! Beautiful tan and white fence. Now neighbors are stopping by and asking who did such nice work.

I had an appointment for an estimate but they did show up.

At first it was starting off great. Monday - Friday teardown/install; They promised never to leave a section open because I have a dog. Friday rolls around and they are still not done, they called and told me they had another job they had to take the guys off my job, to finish that one.... So they left the back fence open with a piece just leaning on the back side of the yard and were not coming back til following week, my dog got out. Monday rolls around and they are RUSHING MY JOB to get done as quick as possible because they are behind their schedule. Gates were last and shoddily done for expensive 10'ft gates. I called and told the company the gates were overlapping and not working properly, the hardware was not staying tight and not working right and the back gate the only way to open it is to remove the hardware because it's not operational, the posts are wiggly in back and there were sides that were not nailed in properly and crooked. This was *Feb/Mar 2017 *with my list of repairs to the job that was paid for 100%; They never called or came back to fix anything that was wrong. *May 4, 2018* all of a sudden they popped over at 4pm and the employee had my lists of issues on hand, LUCKILY I WAS HOME. The employees worked an hour and said they would be back the following week that the gate was really needing rework and they didn't have time at 5pm Friday and I updated my phone number with them... * They never called and I never heard from them again*

Work was not performed - Tara came out and provided an estimate and emailed it to me. I responded back in email with questions which she never responded to. After a couple of days I called and talked with Wenda, she indicated she would have Tara call me. After a day Tara called back I asked my questions and she indicated she would send me an updated estimated. Still have heard back from Tara. They either don't need or want my business. I have decided to use another company.

They installed a fence. They were on time, courteous, and they did great work and I will use them again.

It was great working with Eric. He gave us a great price and did a fantastic job.we were under a tight schedule trying to get the work we had to get done. Eric not only worked with us so that our schedules worked out,but he worked late to ensure that the job was done.we would recommend Eric to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price.

Eric came out to give me an estimate is very short order. We discussed various options & I made my selection. The job took 2 days & Ron & Tim were very hard workers & did a super job. They are a very personable team. They were very careful to make sure my backyard was secure when they left after the first day so that my dogs would not get out. Clean up had been a concern (I am handicapped) but they removed all traces trash. I have already recommended them to one of my neighbors.

We found A-1 Fence on Angie's list and have been very happy with the work completed. Due to the rain we had earlier in the year, it took a while for the work to be started, because of Eric's backlog. They weren't great in keeping us advised, but we persisted because of their great reviews on Angie's List. Once they arrived on site to do the work, it was quick, professional and they accommodated some changes we wanted to make from the original bid. We were very pleased with the work and the quality of the installation. Will definitely use them again when we completely redo some other fence work.

Did not return phone call or the email that was sent the next week.

A1 came to my home and measured for the fencing of my backyard. I discussed different types of fencing that I was interested in and the type of look that I wanted. I was also considering a vinyl fence and the color choices available. I was told that someone would get back to within a week to discuss price. No call for 2 weeks so I called A1 and they apologized and said they would contact the next day...again no call....I waited a week and called again...no response....I have used A1 for my last 2 homes and was very happy.....too bad.

Very pleased with the quality of the fence and the workmanship. They were the lowest bid, and I got a stellar product. They were very conscious of my need to have the fence low to the ground to keep my small dogs in, and it's just a beautiful fence. Very pleased!

We love the new fence and our bigger back yard. Eric and his team were terrific to work with. He made several great suggestions when he came out for the estimate. He was very flexible to re-use as much of the existing fencing as possible. The work took 2 days and they left the yard very clean. We couldn't be happier.

Let me start with the good: The final product fence that A1 installed looks GREAT! Their installer, Smiley, was a very nice guy who spent all day working tirelessly to get the fence up perfectly level and even. Smiley started working on the fence at about noon and only left because it became too dark to work at about 7pm. Smiley returned the next day and finished the job. He was very friendly and, once again, I could not ask for a better looking fence! I did have a negative experience to start this job, which I will explain, but I would like to note that I would still hire this company again based on the quality work that they performed and professionalism that they showed as a whole. I would recommend this company to anyone. The not-so-good: When I received an estimate from A1 I explained that I had an event scheduled approximately 6 weeks away and could only hire a company that could complete the job prior to this point. I was very up front about this and understood that some companies may not be able to meet this deadline. A1 informed me that not only could they complete this job within the 6 week timeline, but they told me that their current timeframe of installing wood fences was about 2 weeks. With this information I signed a contract and placed a deposit. Well 2 weeks quickly passed with no contact and I called A1 at the end of the 2nd week. I spoke to the same nice woman (didn't get name) each time, who each time informed me that she had to speak to the installer to find out where I was on his schedule and she would call me back. I was told that my job should be performed at the beginning of the third week. However, the third week passed and at the beginning of the 4th week I had to call again. I was again told my job would be performed by the end of the 4th week or beginning of 5th week and both dates passed (with no communication). On Friday afternoon of the 5th week I called and expressed my frustration, during which time I was told that a variety of issues caused the delays to include a sick worker, truck breaking down, rain, etc. I explained that I was told the job would be completed within 2 weeks and that I had an event 2 weeks away. I also explained that I had placed a $600 deposit under the impression that the job would be done within approx. 2 weeks. Instead of initially trying to resolve the issue, the woman quickly offered to refund me my money while stating she did not know if they could do the job within the next 2 weeks (which would have been 6 weeks total). Long story short, I pitched a bit of a fit and they made the job happen the following week. In summary, be aware that the time frame that this company provides you may be very "flexible". As long as you are flexible with this then the final product you will receive should be great. Though I had the issues explained, the secretary remained very professional and polite during all contacts. I am giving this company the benefit of the doubt that things came up which pushed the job back significantly and I applaud them for making the job happen, even if it took a bit more effort on my end than I would have liked.

Because they were so busy, we had to wait to get an estimate and wait to get the project started and the fence built. The wait was worth it as the end product, a wooden board on board fence (about 300') is just what we wanted and perfectly meets our needs. What impressed me is the time the crew spent in measuring, leveling and just plain paying attention to detail. They did a good job of cleaning up too. The fence is straight, level and sturdy and looks great. Eric, the owner was on sight for the entire project and I appreciated his expert oversight. Would highly recommend A-1.
