Description of Work: I spoke with the owner Mr. Mukesh (sp) and he was very professional, the times I left a message, he returned my call promptly. I wanted an estimate for fixing power surges problem experiencing and installing bathroom vents. He was able to meet me at a time that was convienant to my schedule and actually arrived at my home before I did. He looked around at all the electrical outlets, etc and and let my husband and I know what the job entailed, how long it would take and told us he would write up the cost and get back to us. He emailed the cost of the job very quickly and once we accepted, he arrived to do the job on time, was very professional, clean and the job was completed before the time he provided. It was a great experience.

 + -1 moreCalled Mukesh he showed up on time I explained what I wanted he took notes wrote info on his pad, he said that he would email the next day with a qoute and then we could set up a appointment to start the work. Did not hear from him until I called him which he said he forgot. He did finally send quote by email which at that time I did explain to him I wanted to make a appointment to have the work done his reply was ok he would let me know . With all the A's this company has received the only thing I can say is the price is reasonble but don't know about the work because still no appointment has been scheduled.

 + -1 moreSee above for more details.... Very disappointing. It has taken over a month and still not even a quote or a call. I would not recommend them to anyone. I am sure there are many other electricians who would love to earn our business. I amazed at the lack of response, lack of customer service, and overall poor approach. Even more disappointing is that fact that he is in the same neighborhood. Wow!! I will be sure to make mention of this to anyone looking for an electrician.
Description of Work: Scheduled an appointment for February 8th. He came out and listened to what we needed done. He wrote it down and said he would get back to us within a week. 2 weeks went by and we finally called him back. This was on a Saturday and he said he would call on Monday or Tuesday. It's now been another two weeks and over a month since he first came out.

 + -1 moreThe electricians arrived on time and did an excellent job of installing 2 recessed lights in our great room ceiling. One kept debris from falling on our furniture and rug while the other did the work. So that was really nice. And the lights were perfectly positioned and work well. But they couldn't figure out how to install lighting in the back of the house that would illuminate our pond and woods at night. It was understandable when they said they'd have to check with their supervisor for ideas and prices. However, we didn't get a call back with an idea and price for nearly a month! Ultimately, we decided it wouldn't be feasible to do the project, but they should have called much sooner to give us those options.
Description of Work: We needed a couple of things done: install 2 additional recessed lights in the great room and install some outdoor lights to illuminate the back yard, pond and woods at night. Only the lights in the great room were installed.

We obtained three electrical quotes from highly reviewed electrical contractors and Dependable Electric quoted the lowest price. The service was excellent! Mukesh was very polite, punctual, responded quickly to calls and emails, provided the services as promised and within the quoted price. There were no surprises and his employees were very considerate and kept the work area clean. Mukesh was also very accommodating to our changes as the project progressed. We were impressed with the high level of quality and service we received and highly recommend them to anyone needing an electrical contractor.
Description of Work: The following services were performed: - Wire and install motion detector light above garage opening and add a switch - Wire for a light in garage and install key less fixture and lamp - Install receptacle in ceiling for garage door opener - Disconnect dryer outlet in garage - Hook up Air handler in garage with existing power to disconnect - Run new wiring for ceiling fan on back porch and install box and (fan provided by owner) - Add 2 GFCI protected outlet on back porch using existing circuit - Replace pull chain on back porch - Add 30 amp 240v circuit for dryer inside the house and install new plug and breaker - Add 20 amp 120v circuit for washer and install new outlet and breaker - Add 20 amp 120v for fridge and TV outlet in kitchen Arc fault protected - Add 2 lights in closets - Add plug in hallway at old water heater location - Add 2 plugs in master bed room on side of the bed - Run a separate 15 amp Arc Fault circuit to panel for plugs and lights added in this area - Run new 30 amp 240v wiring for water heater in garage from panel and install new breake - Add plug on covered front porch surface mounted - Run a 20 amp 120v circuit for outlets mentioned - Install kitchen ceiling fan (provided by owner)

 + 0 moreMukesh arrived when promised to quote the job. He seemed to me to be very knowledgeable and professional. His quote arrived by email when promised and when I asked for more detail on one item the update came promptly. His crew arrived on the day arranged and installed the units without problems. A few minutes talking to his crew left me with the impression that after working at other electrical contracting companies they most liked working with Mukesh at D.E.C. Sometimes the best way to judge a company's views on customer service is for something to go wrong and, in my experience, most jobs of any complexity will need some kind of follow up. The response you get can be very telling. In this case the problem could hardly have been less significant. One of the installed new lamps stopped working a few hours after installation. (One of the original plastic connectors had deteriorated). Mukesh came out at the first occasion convenient for me and fixed the small problem in a few minutes. Would I use D.E.C. again? When I get around to having whole house surge protectors installed I will have D.E.C. do it. I already have the quote.
Description of Work: A lightning strike had burned out all my front landscape lights and their transformer. D.E.C. located the exact same transformer unit (I have a specialized timing/control block that I knew would fit inside), installed it and then installed new bulbs in 12 locations and replaced fixtures in 2 locations.

 + 1 moreThe owner did not initially answer my call and it went into voicemail. I dont like leaving messages and hung up. Within a minute he called back and we made an appointment for the following week. He arrived ahead of the sceduled time and I explained all that needed to get done. He was very professional and I received the cost the following day by email and he also called to let me know that he had sent it. He was very flexible with scheduling and work began the following Friday . The owner and Mark his helper both arrived ready for a full day. I felt bad having them in the hot attic space running wires for the lighting but they never complained. Work was completed and I am thrilled. In fact I thought of more projects for them, a stereo system and an exhaust fan for the bath. They will be returning the end of April once I get officially moved in.
Description of Work: They installed 12 recessed light fixtures throughout my living area and kitchen on dimmer switches, moved two light switches and ond plug outlet, installed two new light fixtures, installed a timer on my electric hot water heater,and installed an outdoor plug outlet on a gfi.

We received an estimate the next business day on the original scope of work, and we discussed the lighting several times by phone, we finally asked for an estimate on that as well. The estimate on the lighting was a bit delayed, and we finally decided not to do it now, but will consider it in the future. The electricians arrived as scheduled, worked in a very diligent manner, cleaned up, caulked the two carriage lights I had installed. Great work for the price, I thought it was a lot of value.
Description of Work: Installed new outdoor garage carriage light box and fixture, one unswitched indoor outlet, two switched indoor outlets, one double outlet and box in garage.
