The estimater knew the square footage before even looking on site using satellite. Printed a estimate on sire out of the truck and delivered with a full folder of material warranties and clients to call upon. I signed and went forward, was very impressed throughout the entire project. Great job

They did a great job. You can't even tell that the pavers have been added. The price was just a little bit more than some of their competitors, but we were able to pay the extra because I don't believe any other company could have done as good of a job. The type of professionalism that they showed was highly unusual for the St. Augustine area. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Fidus did an outstanding job. They were professional from the day a representative came to the house with an estimate and explained what they would do and how they would do it. It was impressive to the point that it generated a very confident feeling about them. Their work was consistent with the first impression. The work crew was prompt, efficient and considerate of our property. The supervisor was pleasant and kept us informed of progress and/or problems. When damage was done to some of our shrubbery during the old shingle removal process, those shrubs were replaced without any question. Now that Fidus has branched out into other forms of construction, we have used them to replace a dock in our backyard. That job was done equally well and efficiently. They are a rare group of professionals in this day and age - dependable, quality work, efficient and responsive.

My home was involved in a hail storm and noticed a small leak on the bathroom ceiling a couple months later. I called Fidus for an inspection to see if I had a damaged roof. They came to the house promptly and inspected all of the roof, said there was no damage to the shingles and the small leak I had was coming from the rubber seal in the flu going bad. They replaced all 3 of them on my roof for $ 300.00. I was ready to buy a new roof if I needed to and they told me it wasn't necessary. I really appreciate honest people from a company with integrity. I have referred Fidus to many of my customers, friends, and family and the feed back I have gotten has all been exceptional. This is VERY hard to find in the construction world it seems. I have also gotten an excellent estimate from them to extend m back porch with pavers and re screening and it was by far the most detailed with tons of options include a fire pit, extending screening, using screen that would prevent my dog from damaging it..and on and on. I will be starting this project very soon :)

It went very well. He was on the roof for over 3 hours water testing to locate the leak. The source of the leak was determined and repaired. It has rained subsequent and it has not been a problem. I have to say they came out right away and did everything they could to make this experience the best it could under the circumstances. Great job!! they cleaned up everything and it look better than when they arrived.

There was patience and attention to detail. They wanted to get the job done efficiently and right.

We love working with Fidus group. Very easy to work with. The company addressed all our concerns, and checked back to make sure everything was okay with the new roof , after we had a lot of rain. Very professional, and the roof was finished within the time frame with excellent workmanship.

It went very well. I was impressed at how professional they were. The serviceman introduced himself to me on arrival and handed me his business card, assuring me that he would make sure everything was done to my satisfaction, very impressed.

Not well. The appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., and I received a call that they were running late and would be at the house at 9:30. That was no problem. I then didn't hear anything back, so I called them at 10:30. The person I talked with assured me that he was on the way to the house. I then received a call around noon informing me that they couldn't make it to my house until 1:30. I told them to forget it. It was disappointing to take a half day off for nothing. I wish they would have just told me upfront that they were too busy for my repair need.

I heard about them on the radio. The price seemed to be fine. It was a lot of money. They did the work. We've been pleased with it.

We needed areas of new gutters and a few areas of missing gutters due to a remodeling project. General contractor was supposed to take care of but dropped the ball so we asked Fidus to take care of it since they had done the re-roof a month prior. Came in & took care of within the same week (we had been waiting months for general contractor to take care of it and got tired of waiting). Even painted metal fireplace chimney contractor had not gotten around to doing for free. Would definitely use Fidus again in future.

had a lot of pine needles on top of large pool screen enclosure and in gutters. Fidus was able to clean all as well as make trap door (very handy & discreet) to facilitate future cleanings. Will have them do annual cleaning.

James was awesome to work with. We haven't had much luck previously with contractors but were pleasantly surprised by the level of service provided with this company. We had gotten 5 estimates several months back for the job but decided to wait as we went ahead with a room addition project. Fidus's estimate was mid-range, but references and punctuality & overall professionalism was much much better. When we finally decided to go ahead with roof, we needed to make the schedule fit with the general contractor's and James was actually on phone with us at 11pm to make it happen! Cannot believe he returned a call to us that late in the day (we had just left message). The re-roof was done in four days for a large difficult job. He bent over backwards in accommodating a demanding contractor. When a couple of the pool screens were damage during the re-roof, James sent a screen people promptly to replace the damaged screens as well as one that was previously torn without a charge. They have been nothing but wonderful for us and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

We hired Fidus to replace our 16 year old roof. Prior to the quote, we had a leak in one section, which we pointed out to them. They told us they would take care of it, and would build new crickets to fix the problem. They also told us they would fix any additional problems they found when they took the old roof off. The first day of construction they almost ruined our 3 air conditioning units because they wrapped them tightly in plastic. Our HV/AC contractor said that had we not had new units, the old units would have burned up. The site manager was not the most responsive either. But by far the worst is the nightmare we are now living due to a leak in the roof that we discovered when we went out on the front porch during a rainstorm and found water teaming down the inside wall. Our insurance company AND the GAF rep both came to analyze the damage and BOTH said Fidus had not done the roof properly. Our repair contractor has now opened up the roof to find that not only did Fidus NEVER fix the original leak they said they would (the quote the owner James- "You don't have to worry after you sign with us, this is my problem now"), but that they just piled a bunch of tar up in the corner in the other area that is now leaking. Fidus originally agreed to do the repairs, but is now saying they won't touch it because they don't do carpentry and it's not their problem. Really?? Look at their web site and listen to them sell the job- they do "all kinds of remodeling and building". We are now dealing with GAF (who has been wonderful) to get this resolved, but honestly don't want Fidus on our property. It's not only the fact that they caused over $30,000 worth of damage to our house by an improper roofing job, it's also that they aren't even willing to be professional and own up to the problem and fix it. We have hired many different contractors over the years, but have NEVER dealt with issues like we have with Fidus. And their total stonewalling in spite of the insurance company AND the GAF rep concluding that they are responsible is absolutely unacceptable. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR!

Workers were sloppy as pertains to landscaping protection. Rotten OSB decking not replaced in one area. Language barrier secondary to mexican heritage. Have had shingle-staining which is a cosmetic nightmare. Owner hasn't been timely in rectifying problems. The roof does look good, however.

It was a complete tear off and re-roof. The work went fine, and the roof looks beautiful. I did not have any problems with the workers or the way the work was done. I got another estimate, which was basically the same, so I don’t have much to compare in terms of the price. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

If we had not been dealing with the owners of another company that gave almost the exact same price, we would have selected The Fidus Group.

We knew they were arriving on November 2nd but we and our 4 dogs were not prepared for the ripping off of the roof starting at about 7:15 am. There was no warning of this early arrival but we later learned that they were trying to finish the roof in one day and had to come early because of a the recent time change. Unfortunately, this goal did not happen and they had to return the following day for a few hours to complete the roof in daylight. The new roof is beautiful and beautifully put on (our neighbor, an ex-roofer, was keeping an eye on their work unbeknownst to us at the time) and the roofers were personable and professional. The owner of the company came to inspect their work and chat to me briefly, which I appreciated. The weather was perfect but rather windy and the trash from their work got spread over my yard. However, they did a good job of clearing it up with only a few missed pieces. There were a few nails left around the house but I think that was because my husband ran over their magnet pick-up tool which they left too close to his truck the first morning making it difficult to use properly~! The roofers really cared about their work and replaced some tiles that had got bent up in packaging and did not lie flat against the roof. Our overall experience was a good one, we appreciated the quick and professional work, and love our new roof.

Great job! Very professional. Two other people in my neighborhood have used this group since they did my roof.
