R Carr Plumbing

We had just moved in to our house when our toilet in the master bathroom backed up the first time. It had made it impossible to even use our master shower. We called R Carr and they came the next day and unclogged it for us. It happened again a few days later, and when we called them to help us again, they didn't charge us because their work was under warranty since it happened after within a certain time frame. They suggested we have a video taken of the pipes to confirm if there was an underlying problem. We did, and found out there was a belly in the pipes (they had bent in a way that soild waste could not push through). We called R Carr back and they gave us an estimate for the repair and gave us some recommendations for contractors to do the floor work. The last time we called them was on Christmas Eve, and they came within an hour! We have been very satisifed with R Carr so far, and would definitely recommened them to friends.

I was very pleased with the prompt professional service. They came out the next day, gave a thorough estimate, and completed the job within 24hrs.

When our water heater kicked the bucket, the folks at R Carr helped us figure out the options (we wanted something that would last a LONG time). They were very helpful. The installation of the new water heater was fine (though I can't say the same for Pinellas County inspectors). The tech arrived just after the 30 minute window, which is why I didn't give an A, but in all other aspects their service was top notch. They were excellent and I recommend them to others.

I called R CARR Plumbing around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon after noticing a water stain on my ceiling. R CARR came to my house that afternoon and replaced the water heater after hours for a small additional fee. The water heater was up stairs and in a closet. Steve and Joe were very professional and very nice! I was SO thankful that they were able to come SO quickly! I was also VERY pleased with the quality of the work and their professionalism! I would TOTALLY use them again!

R. Carr plumber came the same day as called and installed new garbage disposal and cleaned out drain. He was very professional and completed the job within one hour.

Carr's employees are courteous to a fault; they explain what they are doing, and why. They always give me an idea of the time involvement, cost, and effort. I don't have to guess - like I have with other service companies (and hold my breath). They cheerfully took my Angie's List coupon, and made me feel like a valued customer. I have had no issues with any of their work; they are probably out to the house at least twice a year (does not sound like a lot, but if you're calling a plumber, then something has usually gone wrong!). When I call them, they treat me like a valued family friend. I have recommended them to many of my co-workers and friends, and they have had similar experiences.

The DO in this story is when you pay your water bill check to see if you are using more water than usual. Our outdoor hose is in a sort of secluded spot and I didn't realize it was leaking until I saw the water bill. I'm glad that the plumber came right away. I didn't beg or plead for this, they just said we will be there in shortly. I should add that we live 2 miles from the plumber's shop.

He installed the line. It did not take long at all.

We bought an old house in NE St. Petersburg with a permit on 8/29/2011. We hired, through our contractor R Carr Plumbing. We were remodeling one bathroom and adding an adjacent bathroom. The job was delayed about a month while R Carr plumbing would say someone was coming and then they wouldn't show up. Finally we had to threaten to fire them, but their name was on the permit and we would have had to redo the permit. So we kept them. It is now nearly 4 month into what was supposed to be a 4 week job and the remodel is just about done. R Carr plumbing not showing up for about 2 weeks for each phase of the plubming kept the job site dead for much of the past 4 months. So they were unreliable and incredibly slow. They did a total of about 5 days actual work on the site. They did a poor job. They did not anchor the tub. The plubming did not line up the valves with the drains in the new shower or in the tub. The piping inside the walls looked like a junior high school project with pipes being routed all over the place (the room was stripped down to studs and reframed, so they did not have to pipe as sloppily as they did). The plumbing leaked the first time they tested it, they left it overnight leaking onto the hardwood floors downstairs and we, fortunately, checked and put a bucket there or they would have ruined the floor.

I looked them up when I joined Angieslist; they were the first ones that I used. It was a very pleasant experience. They showed up on time. They are very punctual and right on time. I think his name was Joe. He was a very pleasant young man. He did a great job and got everything working here in the house. I thought that it took him a little longer, but he had a lot to do. He was very courteous. For what I paid, I got a good value out of what he did. I think they did a good job for what I paid and he was here for quite a while.

When I called to inquire about having work performed the woman that answered was very pleasant and was able to schedule me an Apt the next day. The Tech arrived within the 1 hr timeframe that was given me the, was neat in appearance, had the right equipment/parts for the job, diagnosed the problems quickly, was very knowledgable, spoke/handled himself very professionally and was respectful. He took the time to explain to me the problems and what he needed to do to correct them. When he removed the valves he showed me exactly why I was having the issues and then took the time to show me the new parts. After the new vavles were installed he tested the faucets to make sure everything was working correctly and that there were no leaks. What also really impressed me was how neatly he worked, especially since this was such a difficult and messy job due to the condition of the valves. When he was done he cleaned up and when he left you would never know work had been done. I was truly impressed!! In case the Company reads these reviews the Tech that was assigned to me was a very positive reflection on your Company and should be highly valued. If I ever need Plumbing work done in the future this would be the Company I would use.

Went very well! I called them for our office toilet that wouldn't flush and wouldn't plunge. They came out within the hour! They fixed the stoppage, adjusted the flapper chain and snaked the toilet. They arrived at 11:10, left at 12:15. Total cost was $107.82 but we had a $10 coupon from Angie's List. We were highly satisfied and will definitely use them again!

From the time I called R. Carr Plumbing, I was treated as "an old friend", even though this was the first time I contacted them. I had no problem scheduling an appointment at my convenience. Greg came on time as scheduled. He was very professional and courteous. Asked for and accepted my Angie's List discount coupon since this was my initial call. Replaced a defective core in the faucet assembly, installed the shower head and flexible hose and made sure everything was working o.k. I would again definitely call R. Carr anytime I need plumbing work.

We bought a water softener at a major home supply store but felt that their installation fee was unreasonably high. We requested an estimate from R Carr Plumbing and Tom came out the next day. The price quoted was at least $200.00 less than the store where we bought the water softener. Special plumbing needed to be installed for drainage. The next business day Tom was back, did an awesome job, actually explained how a water softener works so I understood how it functions for the first time. We are very happy with this company and will definitely call them again when any other plumbing concerns arise.

service tech came out looked in the drain said to plunge it.. and LEFT... reason for call was a bad odor.. still there ... check for $103.00 for service call ???? looking for a little more for $$$$103$$$

Had several estimates this one was right on. The sales manager was helpful on the phone no games just straight price that did not change. Chris, the plumber who came to do the work, was fast courteous and did an excellent job. My husband, who is picky on who we have out to fix things, was so pleased with this company. We had a plumber come out before this and he did not do a good job. Had to come back several times and still did not get it right. Carrs Plumbing made it all better.

He was very good. He was very reasonable. His price included some parts. We had an issue with another thing, and he explained why he doesn’t do it and what if he did do. They don’t even do that because it is just such a mess. If they did do it, it will cost like $300. I would recommend other people to hire them.

It wasn't a fun job. The two guys who came out tried to do the most cost-efficient work possible. They were nice and polite. They did an excellent job and double-checked their work. I have used them in the past, and I have always been very pleased with them. They are very professional; they're reasonably priced; and they know what they're doing. They replaced the water heater, and I was pleased with that work. We haven't had any issues with them.

They answered the phone the first time I called - no phone tag. Service was performed the very next day. Plumber (Joe Hebb) was on time, very professional, completed the work in exactly the time estimated, no surprises on the bill. ($98/hr labor, $39 in parts) He installed a replacement kitchen faucet and a new ball valve on the whole house shutoff. He even fixed my garbage disposal, which I didn't even know was not working right! (No charge for that.) He cleaned up after himself and took all the trash with him. I would absolutely use this plumber again!
