I hope this isn't too long - but the process honestly took from 9/09 to 5/10 to be fully complete! I'll start with the bottom line: Classic provided top quality installation and had the advantages of being able to cut moldings and transitions custom to avoid seams & arranged for a skilled carpet installer to secure the wood to carpet transitions properly. Price was fair, not great. Salesman was nice but in the end not knowledgeable as one would want and need from a specialized shop. The store manager was extremely unprofessional and rude. Even if he felt somehow justified (to this day I have no clue what his problem was) he should have managed himself. I was troubled enough to write the owner a letter, it was so bizarre. Ultimately their competitive advantage was the custom moldings & transitions, having a carpet guy available & the quality and professionalism of their installers. How long they remain I can't say. So IF you've done your homework and are certain you won't need their advice on product, and want those benefits, you are OK using Classic. If you expect competent salespeople and professionalism, shop around. Details: The salesman knew my needs: I have a home office, my wife uses 2 rooms part time as art studios, and we have a computer we use a lot. Those 4 areas have wheeled chairs and get a lot of use, with my office & the computer area getting the most. I brought this up & was told the floors I chose would be fine, especially with the special rubber replacement casters they would sell me ($140 - a fair price). Salesman knew that if needed I could use other products (laminate and denser wood). I could also buy mats if suggested but not recommended and told not to worry. Less than 30 days later I called to complain about deep grooves wearing in some planks specifically and only where there were wheeled chairs, more where use was heavier. The salesman, installers, & owner all looked and agreed they saw significantly more wear in those areas (this would be more normal they said after a much longer time - thanks for telling me that now). Owner ordered another box & replaced a few planks to see if it was a specific lot. No. He asked Mohawk, the mfg. to inspect. Inspector somehow did not even report the deep grooves observed by everyone but him, and I could've found them blindfolded (Mohawk paid for his services). THIS TOOK ME 9 MONTHS, since the owner required constant contact to get moving. All I ever requested was that the offending planks be replaced and I would live with the rest. At least then I could start fresh and put down special mats to offset excess wear. Ultimately after much effort on my part the owner paid part of the cost of replacing the worn planks, so I settled on replacing the worst 15 in only 2 areas paying $85 for my share (it would've cost me almost $300 more to have all the offenders replaced). He should've stepped up early on instead of making me push him for partial satisfaction.
Description of Work: I bought and had installed hardwood floors throughout my home, including two office/bedrooms, the MBR, dining room and two hallways. This included custom moldings, custom transitions to existing carpeting, and removing old carpeting. Except for the two small bedrooms, the planks were laid out on a diagonal, which requires more than average skill.

They are very reliable. They are honest, dependable and stand behind their product. We had some problems with the flooring and they came back out and fixed it with no charge. We were absolutely totally delighted and we have sent a lot of business their way. We got the exact quality for the flooring at half the price of the big name carpet stores. The carpet is about 80 yards and an eight-pound pad and the price includes installation. We would absolutely use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: We used Classic Wood Flooring two years ago to install wood flooring. They are coming in two weeks to put in new carpet in our granddaughter's room.
