I had contacted Witt Fence Co who was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate within a day. After getting several estimates of which one was priced lower, I chose Witt as the most reasonable overall in response and ability to work within my schedule. Jim, the salesman, was easy to work with and provided a few installation options as I had concerns about my dogs digging under the fence. On the day of installation, I was having the patio pavers delivered and his crew was able to work around them. I had to leave to go out of town and when I returned the fence was up and looked great. I gave a B on quality only because the fence slats have many knots which may eventually pop out over time, but that may be inherent with pine wood. I should also mention Randy who was efficient with scheduling, updating me and follow-up.

Witt did a stand-up job on this one. The estimate was courteous and honest. Took no longer than 20 minutes and all of my questions were answered. We took in several estimates from different companies and told 'Randy' at Witt what those estimates were. He explained very clearly and honestly that the quality of Witt's work could not be put in jeopardy by lowering price to compete with neighboring companies. We weren't thrilled that the company was not willing to compete, but we understood the company has built a strong reputation in the area, and that the price we would pay (a couple hundred dollars more than the best offer we had) would result in good quality workmanship we could appreciate. Even Witt's competitors were willing to recognize the quality of their work! When the work came out, the on-site manager was very courteous and professional. He walked us around the yard, showing us where the fence would line up and asked if we had any questions or preferences. He made suggestions that were helpful, regarding the alignment of the side and back gates. The gate in the back was place squarely in the middle of the yard next to a tree at our request. In hindsight, it would have been better to place the gate a few yards away from the tree, to allow for growth over the next 10+ years, however this was not suggested. Maybe something to take note of for both Witt and future customers--to be aware of tree/gate alignment. Also during installation, a worker accidentally cut right into a sprinkler system control line while digging a fence post. This knocked the whole right-side of our irrigation system offline for about a week. Purely an accident, however, and the on-site manager was very frank about what had happened, and alerted us immediately. It wasn't clear right away which party would be responsible for the repair, but no action was taken at that point since it was a weekend and most irrigation specialists would charge double for any work performed. The next business day I called the office and spoke with 'Randy' about the sprinkler situation. He was very polite and offered to send someone out to take a look at and repair the damage. The following day I called again to explain that the 'repair' had not adequately fixed the problem and that the sprinklers were still offline. There was a brief suggestion that maybe the system had not been working prior to the work - clearly not the case - but Randy followed through on 3 separate visits to make sure the damaged was repaired. This seems unheard of - to go to this length to ensure complete satisfaction. Anyway, we were very pleased with Randy and Witt's willingness to go the extra mile(s) they did, and overall we are extremely pleased with our new fence. Additionally, we are very pleased with the look of the fence after being treated with the protective sealant, and happy that it matches the fence of our neighbor. Payment was hassle-free - we were able to pay using a credit card over the phone. Nice work!

The fence still looks brand new, and this was three years ago. Everything that was incorporated with wood around my house they stained to match the fence with the left over stain. It just made everything look good. I thought that, that was great of them. The price was very reasonable as well.

They were on time, starting the job right at 9am Monday morning, and completing at around 2pm. It was a crew of 3 people that did the job, all spoke fluent English, and seemed to be good guys. All required paperwork was provided promptly upon request, and they honored the 5% Angie's List coupon in submitting their bid. The fencing is very well constructed, and the gates are perfect. The only wrinkle was in the permitting process preceeding the job, as I live in Temple Terrace, which requires a permit on fence installation. Witt advised I pull the permit myself (which would have been a net savings of approx. $50), but the City disagreed with that approach, recommending the contractor pull it so they (and not I) could be held responsible for any potential issues with the job. I mention this not as a criticism, but as a heads up for any other Temple Terrace residents doing work with Witt or any other fencing companies in the the area to make sure you factor in time to get the permit pulled (and have a copy of your survey ready) prior to proceeding.

Work not completed due to unfair pricing increase, wanting to charge more due to 30 day lapse on estimate.

I contacted several fencing contractors for estimates after getting one of *those letters* from my HOA. Most required at least two weeks advance notice to schedule estimates. Witt was able to send someone within the week. In any case, their bid came in lowest for a pressure-treated pine shadow-box fence. We scheduled the job for the following week. The workers arrived on time at 9:00 a.m. and were finished by 1:00 p.m., working quickly and efficiently, and making a time-consuming correction without complaint or extra charge when I pointed out that one detail of their work wasn't consistent with the HOA guidelines. I'd happily use them again.

Our fence was in very poor shape and we called out a few people to give us a quote. Ed Witt came out and we were very impressed with him. We were more impressed when they came out to do the work. They built the fence on site, including a nice gate, and they did it quickly, cleanly and professionally. We would not hesitate to use them or recommend them. Ed, Randy and the crew were wonderful.

Crew started as promised. Tore down old fence and hauled it away. Built new fence and gates, exactly as ordered. Crew was very courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

They installed the fence, gate and automatic gate opener as scheduled. No issues at all, and everything works perfect. They even did a follow-up visit to ensure gate and gate opener working properly. This was the 3rd time we have had Witt Fence do work for us, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The service and follow-up was wonderful! We were pleased with everything from the quote process to installation and support afterwards. There were a few minor areas where the small dogs were able to squeeze under, but Witt Fence came back with no hesitations and fixed everything. Ed Witt came out and gave us an estimate for what he determined was the most logical choice for an electronic gate that would fit our needs. He was friendly and courteous and we scheduled a date for installation. When I came home from work the job was completed, the area was clean of any old fencing and foliage debris. We are delighted with the gate and the service provided. My call after the project was completed was returned right away and my questions were answered promptly.

We called to make an appointment and got a call the day before reminding us of the meeting. He was right on time and quick. The day before the install was to occur, we got another call verifying the install date. They showed up on time and were done in a couple of hours.

There was a miscommunication on the position of the gate and the workers didn't start working on that part until the owner came out so we could make an agreement on what I wanted to have done.

All staff (office, sales and installers) were very courteous and professional. We had to reschedule installation due to the fact that contractors who were siding our house were taking longer than anticipated. Witt Fence was very accommodating and rescheduled on a Saturday for us with no problems. On the day of installation, the crew realized there were no gate posts included in the order. They installed the rest of the fence and promised to be back first thing Monday morning to install the gates. They were so apologetic we didn't mind having to wait a couple of days for the to finish. The fence looks great and everyone we spoke with or who came to our house was very concerned about doing a good job and making sure we were happy. This company only expected payment when the job was completed to our satisfaction. Other companies had asked for up to half of the money up front.

I called Witt to get an estimate for a fence around our new pool. They made an appointment and came out exactly when they had scheduled it. A couple of days before installation they called to verify we were still set for installation. On the morning of installation they came at the time specified, asked if we had any special requests (we wanted the bottom of the fence at pool grade). They were quick, clean, and the job looks great.

Jim the sales person and Randy on the phone were very professional and friendly. Jim came twice to measure and quote me due to a change in plans from my Home Owners Assurance. His people showed up on time, were quick, and very respectful. Angel answered any question I had. They cleaned up after themselves and finished before expected. They even turned their radio down when my baby was napping. I highly recommend them. I also considered Danielle's fence, but their price was too much. Dave was very nice on the phone, but the sales person that came wasn't friendly, just came, measured, and sat in his truck. It turns out he misread the survey and was over quoting me. When I talked to Dave on the phone and told him I had chosen WITT, he said he'd match the price, but by then it was too late. I had made my decision.

The sales person was very pleasant and helpful on the telephone the work crew was very professional and did a great job.

Overall, I was pleased with the whole experience. The estimator showed up when he said he would. The office called twice to confirm the appointment and the installation went very smoothly.

I contacted Witt Fence after reviewing the on-line recommendation. After I agreed to the estimate, I found I had a problem with my neighbor's gate. Randy stepped in and moved her gate/fence to mirror mine at no cost. On installation day, he knew I had an important meeting at 10. He called me to tell me his crew would be 30 minutes late. He asked me to leave the survey and not to wait. The crew came prepared and completed the job on time. There was one pole in cement near my home. After they cut it off at the base, I asked the crew to give it to my other neighbor to use. I inspected the job and was very pleased. They left my yard as if it were there own. I called Randy with a couple of minor questions, and that same day, he sent out his crew to adjust one of the gates and add a couple of extra handles.

Came out and measured yard, on the day and time we agreed upon. On time. Called day before they came to install new fence. Paid for complete job when it was finished. Job done in one day. Fence was build on my property one board at a time, for a nice tight stockade fence. Removed old fence and hauled away everything. Very, very pleased with this company.

They were very high in price. I decided not to pick them.

From the initial meeting to the final walk through, we could not have had a more pleasent experience than was provided by Witt Fence Company. There was a very unique situation involving a leaning stone wall that the installer handled with ease. Everyone from the estimater to the installers were on time, courtious and well mannered. Thanks guys!!
