Description of Work: The plummber was called to check out and replace two shower water mixer cartridges. The first day he took apart one of the shower faucets and did not know the manufacturer. He asked me to find out who installed the shower and what part was used. I had to go to our community office to see who the installer was when the house was built two and a half years ago (we had moved in recently)and the sales manager was able to give me the name of the plumber, who I called. He was able to give me the name of the manufacturer and he could have done the work but we had already hired First Choice Plumbing. I was give a part number and could have ordered it myself on line, but thought it best to continue with the plumber. About a week later he set up an appointment. He was here less than an hour installing the two shower cartridges. My husband had to ask to see the old part, as usually you are shown them or they are given to you. He gave him one of the parts. We paid $465.00 for work that my husband could have done if we had been sure of the part. The new parts, after examining them were missing a part that allows you to adjust the hot water in the mixer. We then went back online and ordered two parts (just in case we ever needed them). The parts were $31.47 each including shipping and tax. We definitely were overcharged...the invoice only had the one price written...no breakdown of parts and time/labor. AND..no $10.00 off from Angie's list as was supposed to happen. I mentioned it when I called, told the plumber when he got here how I found him, and had a printout of the $10.00 off. I hesitated to fill out this form as we didn't want any repercussions, but this was just one overpriced job and possibly deceitful, not to mention that I am the person who made it possible for this plumber to get the part so he could charge us that much.

Description of Work: Replaced solar water heater |I sent an email to First Choice Plumbing via Angie's list on a Sunday, and I received a call later that day. I missed the call, but a message was left stating that they would have the office follow up with me in the morning. The office called first thing Monday morning as promised. At that point, hot water was back on in my house and I had a full schedule, so I decided to wait until it became an issue again. Well, on Tuesday afternoon, the hot water was going in and out, so I changed around my schedule and gave them a call. We set up an appointment for the next day (early afternoon). Joe came out on Wednesday and took a look. I had an 80 gallon solar tank that was 15 years old. I had changed the heating element in it once, which bought me another year or so. Joe told me that these tanks are hard to find, which surprised me with the push toward solar energy. He was able to locate a company that could ship it to them by Thursday afternoon. We set an appointment for installation for Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. I received a call from the office around 8:30 to inform me that the delivery was late and that would push Joe back to 10:00 a.m. or so. Joe arrived around 10:00 and installed the new water heater. It took approximately five hours to complete the task. I appreciate the prompt response from First Choice. I would have rated them an "A", but I felt that it was a little pricey and was disappointed with lack of solar products in stock, or at least, easily attainable.

Description of Work: Installed new water heater which had broken on a Sunday. The technician arrived in less than 1 hour. He was courteous, professional and efficient as well as knowlegable

Description of Work: First Choice Plumbing Solutions provided the services of connecting a Pelican water filter/softener combination unit. They spliced the cold water supply line coming into my home by routing it to a pre-filter. Then from the pre-filter to the main filter, to the softener and finally rerouted back to the house. Tested the whole system for operability. |I encountered a minor issue, but they returned promptly to correct the situation. Now I'm enjoying much better water for all my household needs (i.e. drinking, cooking, bathing and my appliances like dishwasher and washing machine).

Description of Work: I had leak in outdoor pipe by garage. Setup appointment online and they arrived early. I had them replace all 3 outdoor spigots and repair pipe leak and he was done in about 35 minutes with an A-1 job. Previously had them replace sink drain and bathroom pipe about a year and a half go. Excellent work.

Description of Work: Their response time is great. Checked for leaks under foundation. It only needed a new water line from toilet to main water line. I thought his price was high for just that but they were professional otherwise.

Description of Work: I have a leak that I need a plumber to fix so I called them during their stated business hours because they have a great rating on Angies List. One problem they didn't answer either time I called, so they lost my business. I called a plumber who has a great rating on Angies AND answered the business phone. I left a message but i will not use them when they/if they do return my call.

Description of Work: I had a water leaking under my kitchen sink, not a lot, however, the paper I had under the bins containing my cleaning items was always wet. It started to smell musty. !st Choice came out, examined the dishwasher etc and all the pipes and then determined it was the ring around the kitchen sink that was the culprit. John said any water on the counter would leak down etc. He caulked it and said if that did not work, his company had a high tech way of finding where the leak might be coming from. It did work and I was totally happy and amazed. They are my company of choice for a plumber.
