Grossmann Air Conditioning

Their company is great. Our unit went out at 2 o clock in the morning, and even though they have a 24 hr service I don't really like to call people but I tried to call and their phone wasn't working. So I shot them an email and when I got up at 8 o clock someone responded to me via phone. They get back to you right away and they sent someone out right away. The guy was very knowledgeable, he had to wait for the air conditioning coils to defrost so he went and did couple jobs and came back and did what he had to do. Also, they didn't over-bill me.

Prompt and rescpectful service and great communication. Everything works well.

I was very happy with their service. It went very well. They were first rate. They were on time, they showed up.

Luckily, they were able to dispatch a technician within an hour from the time I placed the call for service. The tech was very knowledgeable and explained his troubleshooting procedures as he worked. He was able to repair the system quickly and get my AC back online at a reasonable price. Their employees seem very courteous and professional, I definitely recommend these guys.

I called them on 12/20/2012. The lady apologized that they couldn't make it out that day (it was afternoon), but that they could come in the morning. She offered a portable heater until the problem was fixed, but we declined. We thought it was still very nice of them to offer that. We received a call the following morning, letting us know a technician was on the way....another very nice customer service touch. He diagnosed the problem with the motor, and then another man (I do believe this was a father/son thing) arrived, and agreed to what the problem was. They said it would be easier to fix if they took it to their shop, and again, we were offered a portable heater. They came back later with the repaired motor, installed it, checked to see that it was working properly, including checking the thermostat. Everything was fine, and we were very pleased with their professionalism & prompt work. Awhile later, when we tried to use the AC, it wasn't cooling. they came back at no charge and showed my husband what it was....I know nothing of machines, but I believe it was just a button/switch that needed to be pushed. They were very polite, professional, prompt...can't say enough good things about them.

Our main unit was not cooling, and when I checked outside, the fan was not running. They answered my call after 6 PM on Saturday and scheduled a technician for the next day (Sunday) in the early afternoon. He called abut 25 minutes before arriving, arrived when he said he would, and was very professional. The fan was not running, and although it ran when he pushed it, he checked and found that the capacitor was bad. He replaced that (about $87), and with the service charge, the total was about $157. They accepted the Angies list coupon for 5% off. Altogether, the experience was great--they were timely, wiling to come the next day, and the cost was quite reasonable. I would call them again and highly recommend them.

Grossmann tried to fix the tired A/C Heat pump system. It failed on Sunday evening, I called them Monday morning and a Grossmann rep was at my home within the hour. System could not be repaired.The next day they installed the new system and thermostat in one day. Cleaned & vaccumed up afterwards. The team members answered all my questions and didn't mind me watching off & on while they worked. Grossmann gave me credit for the cost of the fix last summer and the fix a few days before failure. They did request a down payment of half the cost then final payment at completion. There service was excellent. I'll contact them for a yearly A/C check. Would not hesitate to call them for future service.

I had a 4:00 appointment. An office person called me at work and told me the repairman was running late and wouldn't get there until around 4:30, I really appreciated that because I work for an extra half hour. When the repairman arrived, he immediately diagnosed the problem and told me how much it was going to cost, minus the Angie's List coupon. He had the part on the truck. Once it was fixed and running, he checked out operation of the unit and told me it was in good shape. He was quick and efficient. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I already had one company look the problem over and they said it would cost over a thousand and probabaly only last a year. Then,company x charged me $83.00 for that lookover. This is when I decided to use Angies list and the first company I saw that had the most reviews that were all very positive, was the Grossman's co. Besides being a family business since 1985. From the moment I contacted them all the way thru the process of scheduling to have the job looked at and repaired, I knew I had the right company.The repair was ASAP and the bill was $330 that I paid immd. because of the A-1 service. If I ever need a brand new unit installed, Grossmans will get my business. I have 4 homes in Fla. and was flat out amazed at how well Angie's list and Grossman's customer service and repair service was executed.This is the model for all other companies. Grossman's also stated they did'nt charge anything to determine what the problem was!!!!

Emailed Grossman on Sunday afternoon. They called the next morning to schedule a time to come out. Scheduled to come out at 8:30 Tuesday morning. They called at 8 and said they wouldnt be able to make it out until 10:30. So my half of day off from work now turned into a full day off. Tech arrived at 10:30 and started working. The first unit went great. Everything checked out and promptly moved onto the second unit. The tech explained that the coil was leaking and suggested repairing the coil if under warranty or replacing the unit if it was not under warranty. Tech called Lennox to find out if the unit was still under warranty. Found out the warranty had expired two months prior. So that left us with needing a new unit. The tech told us that they would get back to us on a price. Other than a follow up phone call two days later saying they were still working on a price we have not heard back from then. Meanwhile tempatures reached the upper 80s that weekend and we had another company install a new unit. After reading reviews on several other companies we chose to go with Grossman because they had a fish on there website and said they were Christians.

They arrived earlier then agreed to on the phone but they called to confirm this was OK. He checked the air conditioning system and found that the problem was the same as previous contractors had found. He cleaned the water drainage line like others did. The difference is he determined why the Drainage line is continually getting backed up. He found that it was the slope of the line and adjusted it to be in proper alignment. He then bound it up so that it would stay that way. He explained all that he did to my wife. A very professional person.

Excellent service from start to finish.

Excellent. I am very happy with their service. They were professional and easy to work with. They were reasonably priced. They were not the lowest bid, but they came and looked it over, then when they had the bid they came back and went over the installation. I have an unusual set up in a condo unit on th ocean and he found a better unit for outside. The system works better than the old system ever did, which I had installed in 2005 by someone else. They had to replace the air handler as well, since it was set up for R22, for which they outside unit is no longer available. The new system has the more environmentally friendly freon.

This was a vacation home in Florida which we had not occupied recently. The day before Thanksgiving, when i arrived at the home to begin preparing a large meal for 10 guests who would be arriving soon, i discovered that water was pouring out of the ceiling in the bathroom in multiple places (9 different buckets and pots to catch the leaks!). It was a disaster! I found Grossmann's on Angie's List and decided to call because of their excellent reviews. The woman who answered the phone was so pleasant - she helped me relax right away. The young man who came out to do the repair arrived within an hour and he was just awesome! He climbed up into the ceiling through an attic door and immediately identified the problem as a clogged drain in the air conditioner handler. He replaced the faulty drain and even cleaned up the mess and checked the other air conditioner handler that was upstairs. I was so impressed with this company... from the woman who answered my phone call to the repairman who completed the job! Grossmann's saved our Thanksgiving holiday!

My A/C stopped working during the night. The following morning I checked with Angie's List for a repair Company. Grossmann's had many reviews that were positive,so I called them. They were here by the afternoon and said that a snake had wrapped itself around some wiring and electrical boards,part of which he had to remove.It seemed all was well until the next day when it went out again. Chad came back and removed more oft the board which he said was burnt..So far it's working fine.

I had another company come to do yearly service check. They talked me into signing a year contract. Within 6 hours my A/C unit started to leak so bad that it went into bedroom and laundry room. I called and they said they could come out in 48 hours. This is a contract that said they do 24 hour emergency coverage! Needless to say,I was not a happy camper. So I called Grossman, a friend referred me to Grossman. They came out within the hour. The technician even called the owner as he was not sure what was causing the problem. The owner was here shortly and he solved the problem. It was a small leak in the pan that was hard to detect. They had to replace the pan in the system and had my unit up and running in no time. They did have to order the part so it was a few days without air but they were so efficient and professional and I was impressed that the owner came out to the house. Since then, I have had them service my unit yearly. They are always on time, and very professional.

These guys were great! A very friendly voice greeted me when I called them. The technician showed up within 15 minutes of the appointment. He immediately started asking me questions regarding the problem. Within 15 minutes he identified the suspect breaker. Parts were in his truck and he had it replaced within another 15 minutes. Fired the unit up with no problems. Price was very reasonable considering the unit is located in the attic and it's not easy to get to. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

AC went out 27th of September and checked out Angie's List for the first time. Grossmann Air Conditioning immediately stood out because of their 100% positive "A" reviews. We contacted them on the 3rd of October and they immediately sent someone out to look at what was wrong. The next day they sent someone else out to work up solutions and their estimates. We decided to have everything completely redone and relocated for convenience and resale value of the house. On the next day they ordered materials. Monday October 8th they came out early and started work. They worked very hard in very poor conditions(Hot weather, even hotter attic) from time they till they left. Even though it was very difficult conditions they were always conscientious, polite, cheerful and did not stop working(Except for lunch) the whole time. I had to have emergency surgery right in the middle of the days they were working and they were very sympathetic and did their best to accommodate and try to get everything up and running as quick as possible. They finished their work on October 11, mid-afternoon. After they left I was completely impressed by the totality of their cleanup. During the week when they were working, the work required quite a mess so the spotless cleanup afterwords was very impressive. I would definitely recommend Grossmann Air Conditioning to anyone in the area that needs AC work done. We will absolutely be using them again if we need AC work done. We called Grossman at about 11:45AM on a Friday based on Angie List reviews, when we discovered a puddle below our garage air handler. We were treated very courteously and told that they would get back to us at about 2PM when they would have a technician available. We were called again at 2:10PM and told that the technician was on his way. He arrived at our door within 10 minutes after the return phone call. The technician inspected the inside of our air handler and lower inside ductwork and described several scenarios that might cause the leak (dirty coils, frozen coils, algae build up in the condensate tube, etc.). He also gave ballpark estimates of cost (at our request) based on each possible problem He then checked the air temp differential, the coils, the freon, and the outside condensation drain. We indicated to the technician that we would be seeking a second opinion (just because it's a smart consumer option) if the problem were any of the more expensive issues. Luckily it was simply algae build-up in our condensate tube so it was a relatively inexpensive fix. He sucked the algae out with a dry vac, and our air conditioner is no longer leaking. (Hooray!) We are happy with his diagnosis and the work.

Overall an A experience. After many negative experiences since we moved to the area this was best yet!

Grossmann was very timely and professional. . Quickly trouble shooted the air conditioner. Let me know up front the price of the repair. Fixed it, explained about the faulty part and other aspects of the AC. Did a quick over all check. Repairman was fantastic - knows his job. . . . Will call them the next time I have a problem

The technician was good and they were awesome. After it was fixed I heard a drip so I called them back. The technician was on his lunch break but he came back right away. He thought he had fixed the problem but it had never been capped off. He told me he doesn’t like working on certain units but that I had a good unit. He fixed it within ten minutes.

Mr. Grossman came over to check out what I needed and explain what he would have to do. The next day he came over with the estimate and explain to me step by step how it would be done. His men came out the next day , on time .They worked very much as a team.

Exceptional company!!!

The office called when the technician was on his way to the house.Technician arrived within 1/2 half hour.Technician was able to analize that there was a bad switch.Total time to find and make repair was about 1 hour.
