Grossmann Air Conditioning

It is unfortunate that I have to write this review. I like them personally but I agree with the review system because I rely on it when making a decision to hire someone. I hired Grossmann to provide maintenance and a few one off projects. One was the balance of air for our 5000 sf financial planning and CPA firm. Some offices were hot and others were cold. The solution was to add returns and supplies to some of the offices. They did part of the job, which I paid for in full before the ink was dry on the invoice which is my practice. The rest of the job was on delay because of supplies. That part, to be fair was not billed or paid for. Soon after completion of the first part it became clear that one of the small offices already done was freezing and the larger one was still hot. After many phone calls they finally came out to inspect the work they did, and that was paid for and it was clear to all that a mistake was made where they placed 2 supplies in a small office, freezing my office manager who now works in a sweat shirt. That second supply was supposed to be placed in the larger office where I am hot and do not have the option to close my office door during sensitive client meetings. I have been calling and leaving messages, emails and have been completely ignored. After at least 2 months I finally spoke to someone who said Chad, the owner will come out himself. Never happened. I will fire them and hire a new AC company to finish the work. That is not an issue. But if my new company needs to repair what I have already paid for I will have to somehow seek reimbursement from them, which I doubt will happen without small claims court. - Steve, Investment Planning Group 772 233 4315

I highly recommend Grossman Air Conditioning. We received 4 estimates for the replacement of our older system. Grossman’s estimate was $3,000 less for the exact same brand, 16 seer air handler and condenser unit than another estimate. The installation crew ( John, Kyle, and Nick ) did a superb job and were very meticulous in cleaning up everything ( downstairs and upstairs, where they had to work in an attic with blown in insulation.) John answered all my questions and showed me how to work the digital thermostat ( new technology for us) and also how to easily insert the air handler filter. Also, Donna at the office was very personable and took time to answer all my questions. Grossman is a great company and we are very satisfied with our new air conditioning systems.

Technician John arrived right on time and was extremely pleasant &knowledgeable,answered all our questions.I would definitely recommend this company to my neighbors and will use them again in the future for my a/c needs. Thank You Steve

He did an excellent job and also rinsed off the metal fins on outside unit that were clogged with grass and dirt. Professional and good quality work. I would highly recommend Grossman A/C and Phil in particular.

Would not hire again for such an extensive job. Everything went pretty well until the last day of installation. It was Friday and the end of the work day. Everyone was in a rush to finish ducts. On Monday the building inspector came out and failed the duct installation for some small leaks that he found in a few minutes and decided not to inspect any further. On Sunday, I went into the attic to inspect to ensure everything would be fixed so that the next county inspection would pass. There were a few items I found, a tear in the outer shell of a duct, one duct/register box not attached to ceiling, and a couple of leaks. No big deal, so I thought! I just wanted to make sure there were on other defects that would cause another failure of the county inspection, due to the time I must allot to be in the home at inspection time. plus, I just paid a large amount of money for this service. **Well I was told that there were no problems last time the job foreman was in the attic, and I must have caused all the defects, and that the job would not be done to my satisfaction. He would not even go in the attic with me to look around. However, he would be back with the inspector to ensure it passed at that time.** I am beside myself, that anyone would suggest that I would sabotage a improvement to my home. I did not do any damage to anything in my attic!! I am more than capable of inspecting duct work without moving or damaging anything, since I am an aircraft inspector and am constantly in much smaller, more delicate areas everyday for my job. I did go into the attic after they left today and everything does look good, except one small tear in a duct. All duct work connections had mastic applied and register boxes were tied/secured down. County re-inspection should be in the next day or so. It is really a shame I had to experience this with a 19,000.00 price tag. **Even though the job, to the best of my knowledge is now done well, I would not recommend this company.** Nobody should have deal with this kind of treatment from a company.

Grossman A/C did a fantastic job at a fair price. They are extremely responsive, honest, professional, and actually care about satisfying their customers. It is rare these days to find a service company that actually keeps their word

Profession service at its best ! Chad the company's manager was professional and knowledgeable and their employees such as john and tom Just to mention a couple was just as professional and the office staff Donna and Laurie was kind and sweet and always answered the phone promptly . An all around "A one operation" that you can rely on .

Very well . I am very happy with service. Very nice people and easy to work with. Office staff is very friendly also.

I love them, really great, they're excellent. They found some little mechanical issue with it. He said it should be changed because it could burn out the motor in the capacitor and it ended up only being $68 for what we wanted to change. I feel like they were very honest, and the customer service. They're just pleasant, nice people to deal with.

Arrived at the designated time and quickly identified the problem as a minor issue. Repairs completed quickly.

Responded very quickly. Max provided great customer service . He checked and re-checked all aspects of the system and determined a bad capacitor was the issue that another company's missed two times. Final bill was about half of what other company charged. Very happy with their service

Called this morning and got service this afternoon. Max was the technician today, super nice guy, professions and knowledgable . What I love about the technicians they send out is they are friendly, don't mind answering questions and know what they are doing. This is an awesome company and a great experience from the person who takes your call ( Laura), to the technician who fixes your problem. I have nothing but praise for these folks and highly recommend them for all your AC work.

This was the third company I had called (the other two never showed). After informing them that I work nights they moved my appointment to first thing in the morning. The tech was very professional and courteous. Would highly recommend.

Phillip, the A/C technician, was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He was very honest and forthright about everything. He communicated very well with us and we knew the work he was going to perform and what to expect. He arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. He went above and beyond answering our many questions. We always have a lot of questions and he was very patient with us. He knows how to take care of the customer. He has a great work ethic. We have dealt with a lot of contractors lately and he is one of the best that we have had the pleasure of dealing with. We would highly recommend that anyone who needs any A/C work done use this company. Plus, we called them on a Saturday morning at 7:13 a.m. and we were their second service call at a few minutes after 10 a.m. We were very happy with our response time and the price which was very reasonable. We will definitely be using these people in the future for maintenance work as they have outstanding rates on their maintenance plans and great customer service.

It went very well. Kenny was professional, knowledgeable, and did his job and gave appropriate advice about one of the reasons we were having a problem which we will address. Another company wanted to provide a proposal for a job that would have been very expensive which Grossman said was unnecessary provided we followed up with his advice about a much less expensive alternative that also made perfect sense.

I called their office at 8:30 and Max (technician) was at house promptly at 10. He was very efficient and professional and had my AC running by 11. I was quoted $79 dollars for service call diagnosis over the phone and ended up being charged $73 for diagnosis and wiring repairs. Can't ask for more than that.

Air conditioner stopped working in the church sanctuary and needed to be replaced. Grossmans gave us timely and professional service and we were pleased with all aspects of the removal of the old unit and installation of the new unit. I called Grossmann Air Conditioning when I found my home AC refrigerant lines frozen. They were highly recommended by a neighbor who had there whole AC system replaced, and have great reviews here. I called on a Wednesday after hours (6:30pm), and Paula Grossman (very nice person!) answered and we scheduled an appointment the next day. The technician (Max) arrived Thursday and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. The lines became frozen because the contactor (electrical part) stuck and caused the ice buildup by not allowing the unit to perform as usual. He replaced the part, checked the pressures and temps, and in less than a few hours all is good. I have nothing but accolades for Grossmann Air Conditioning! They were great, and the technician Max was super. They responded quickly, communicated well, and the cost was reasonable. I would not hesitate to use again. Hire with confidence!!

Our a/c packed up late on a Friday afternoon and we didn't think we would get anyone to fix it for the weekend . Found Grossmann on Angies List and they came swiftly to the rescue! Very prompt and professional and the repair cost less than we expected! The technician advised us that we will need a new condenser in the future but no pressure . WeI would definitely recommend them and will use them again. They also send a follow up letter to thank us for using them which we thought was a very nice touch.
