I was given a referral for Benjamin Franklin Plumbers. Nervously I called to finally put an end to an ongoing plumbing issue I was experiencing. Calling a plumber is not on my "favorite things" to do list. Yet, once calling, the receptionist was a very warm woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Got me scheduled within 24hrs. The next day, Rob was approaching my house. He called & texted throughout. Upon arrival he was nothing less than professional. He even put those little booties over his shoes upon seeing my light colored carpet. He inspected my bathroom, determined the issue, ran it by me, and got straight to work. When he was finished, he went over his process & what he did. He even showed me his work. I found my experience with Rob & Benjamin Franklin Plumbers to be exceptional. They make plumbing easy, for real! Thanks for the excellent work. Here it goes,, had a toilet valve leak. Without hesitation I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbers. They dispatched Rob to my home. He was here the last time, so I felt comfortable. As usual Benjamin Franklin Plumbers, Rob, resolved my issue. And Guess what? I'm no longer nervous to have a plumber fix an issue! Benjamin Franklin Plumbers proved to be professional, reliable and intelligent. Thanks again Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!!

Chris and Aj did a great job!!! They explained everything clearly. The quality of work was top notch. When I originally called I was met with professionalism and they answered all my questions. Although It was not an emergency they responded within an hour fully equipped and ready to change out my water heater. Chris and Aj spoke highly about the company and their boss. I would recommend this company hands down due to my experience.

Description of Work: Total replumbing of the house due to copper piping leaking under the slab. This is a too common problem in my area. Almost half of our neighbors have had the same thing happen to their homes. We knew that one leak usually leads to more, so we had the whole house done to eliminate the worry of much more damage done later.

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the pricing structure of our company. We take great pride in making sure that the value of our work and services provided out weighs the amount of our client's investment. It appears that your main concern was with the pricing. All of the other categories were rated an A with exception of one B. We had replaced 1- kitchen faucet, 2-emergency fixture shut off valves and 1 main shut off valve. As to the comment that we broke the main shut off valve. Older gate style shut off valves do not work quite often due to age, type of valve and the hardness that builds up around them because they are not used that often. I ask you, what if you had a flood in your home and when you went to use that valve and it broke and you were not able to stop 1000's of gallons of water from entering your home and causing $1000.00's of dollars in damage? If the valve were in good operating condition then it would have operated properly. It is designed for the purpose of shutting off the water. That is what we attempted to use the valve for and nothing else. Is it possible the valve was broke but you were not aware? When was the last time you had used the valve and it was working? I would have thought you would have been relieved that we found out that your emergency shut off was not in operating condition and now you have a piece of mind that if a future emergency occurs that you will now be able to shut your water down and avoid costly damaged. I will now respond to your price concern. We charge by the job and not by the hour. I reviewed the paperwork and all of the prices we given and authorized in writing prior to any work being done but since you have the concern I will break it down in an hourly charge to see if our pricing had taken advantage of you. Keep in mind if we would have had a problem in stalling the faucet or replacing any of these valves and it would have taken longer that our price would have not changed and the hourly figure that I am going to provide would even be less. We had .5 hours travel to the job, 5 hours on the job and .25 hours travel back to our shop. That is a total of 5.75 hours. The total job was $714.00. I will use a round number of $100.00 in total material cost for the style of faucet we installed, 2 each 1/4 turn fixture stops and 1 - 3/4" brass ball valve and $50.00 for the mark up cost on the material to cover our profit and warranties given. That will leave a balance of $564.00. If we divide that by the 5.75 total hours we have in the job, then you would have paid $98.09 per hour for the labor which included a technician at your mothers home that was pre-hire and random drug tested, had a local and federal back ground check completed pre-hire so you would feel safe with who we send to your home and who arrived at your home in the time frame promised in a 14' box truck stocked with 1000's of parts and completed all of the work mentioned in the same day. I would ask that you consider all of this in the future when need to call a plumber and consider using our great company and it employees.
