Team Farrell

A representative of Home Services unit of Farrell came out to the house and went on the roof to inspect the wood and take measurements. He quoted a price of $1,100 to replace the rotten wood with new vertical slat vinyl siding. He ordered the material and after about 10 days he called to say they had the material. I was not going to be home during the day they wanted to do the work - but he suggested that I did not need to be there as his people would be able to fix everything without my presence. When we returned home we saw that all the material had been replaced with beautiful siding. The siding is perfectly installed with no gaps around the edges. There was no debris left behind anywhere - they had done a wonderful job. Before we signed the original contract we visited their main office just off Ridge Road in Port Richey. They have a very large operation, the vehicles and property were clean and well maintained and the office staff greeted us warmly. We met with the manager and he was eager to help and very professional. For us this was a test of Farrell and their ability to perform. Our intention going forward is to contract with them to replace our entire roof. I would highly recommend their services - they do outstanding work and are very professional.

They were excellent. They fixed a leak on the roof and it's still leaking. I think what happened was they've just missed a little spot so the guy will come back out and do it. It was prompt and reasonable in cost. I couldn't ask for better people to do the job, very friendly and they seem to know what they were doing. We've had other people out to fix the roof, they did not fox the roof. They pretty much wasted our money and this was the first guys who fixed the problem so basically they don't know the heck that they're doing.

Time was of the essence in our situation. We were upfront about this from Day 1. Reagan came out to check out a home we were considering purchasing and speak to us about the scope of work involved to make it what we wanted. When he left he promised us an estimate within 7-10 business days. That deadline came and went. When I contacted Reagan again to ask about the quote he said he would give me a call back. He never called back, but did email a quote about a week or so after the second call was placed. It was OUTRAGEOUS. We had many other detailed quotes emailed to us prior (all from contractors I found on Angie's list, all about $50,000 dollars less than what he quoted.) No work was performed in our situation, but based on the lack of customer service I experienced, I would definitely not recommend using this company.

Ultimately, I went with another contractor. However, in hindsight, I should have gone with Farrell and would do so if the need should ever come up. On time, professional, responsive.

Farrell was very quick to come out and give an estimate. The plans did not come in when promised. When I finally got approved by the county a major error was found in the plane concerning a jut-out. I had the plans re-drawn and had to re-submit the plans ($28.00 out of my pocket). I had to call several times trying to get the plans as I had a mess in my yard of a dis-mantled previous. The personnel though we very friendly I asked several times for someone to give me a bid on the work to be done and one was never submitted.

Had this company come out to give me an estimate. Rob was very nice and prompt for the appointment. He said I would hear back the beginning of the next week to schedule an appointment with his designer. I didn't hear back so I called him the end of the next week. He said he was working on it and should have something in a day or so. I didn't hear back so I called the following week. I think he got me confused with someone else as he mentioned things that did not pertain to my job. He said these were items we discussed when he called me. I reminded Rob that he hasn't followed up regarding this job, receiving no phone calls and that I was still waiting for an estimate. I refreshed his memory on what the job was to consist of. Again I was told I would hear back. At this point I was not expecting to hear back and crossed him off the list. The next week my husband gets a phone call that Rob needed to come out and re-measure something for the estimate so my husband made an appointment. Unfortunately, my husband didn't realize this was the same company I had told him about that had not called or provided any estimate yet. I called Rob and left a message to cancel the appointment as I was disappointed in the lack of communication and the time that had passed without receiving an estimate.

It went exactly as proposed.

I bought a deal through Angie's List because of the ratings of the company. We told them we were looking for a complete renovation with specific ideas in mind of what we wanted. A few things included flipping the location of the shower with the bath tub and raising the height of one of the vanities. What we received was a drawing of our bathroom as it currently is with the exception of putting dark cabinets in place of the white ones which we did not ask for. The drawings came via email with nothing else except a signature line; no indication of "if you have questions or would like a quote..." It was like we weren't heard and they weren't interested in the job.

The service turned out fine, and we are using them for the remodel which is in progress. They had the most competitive price for the bathroom remodel. We started the demolition on the 7th of April, and it is still in the process.

The design consultant came out as scheduled and spent 30 - 45 minutes "consulting" about my bathroom redesign. I was disappointed with the "3D" renderings and did not feel the consultant was responsive, or even sufficiently attentive, to my requirements (as evidenced by the fact he sent me an advertisement for a soaking tub that would have left only 6 inches to enter the shower enclosure). I did not opt to go with the provider for the remodel on the basis of the initial encounter, responsiveness to my design requirements, and on the basis of price. I went with an alternative provider who was more responsive to my needs (and on the basis of cost).

Estimate was fair and within my budget. Timing was arranged to fit my schedule. Crew arrived on the agreed date and work proceeded in a professional manner. Follow up was punctual. We were pleased with the new roof and would use Farrel again.

Everything went fine. The rep they sent was great. Did an awesome job!

Did not use. Quote slightly higher than others but in the ballpark. Great plan.

My son in law encouraged me to get a quote from Farrell Home Services for a siding job we are in need of. Nobody showed up for the first appointment that was made. So I called and asked why no one showed up and the only thing I got was an apology and a second appointment with someone else. That guy did make the appointment but I had to call them again for an estimate almost 2 weeks after his visit. The do have a fancy folder that they leave with you with a lot of letters about roofing jobs and community work they do. However my overall experience with just the quoting process for a siding job has made me decide to look for another contractor. I have also advised my daughter and son in law to be cautious if they decide to go ahead with getting a quote for new windows.

They were fine. I just used somebody else, but I had no problem with them. They came and did that they were supposed to. They showed up on time, and got me the estimate when they said. They took care of everything. Their price was a little bit higher than the other one. They were responsive, they contacted me right away, and they showed up.

We met at the house and they listened to my ideas and took measurements. They promised a proposal by email by Friday, 14 March by email. It never came, my calls to their number say they are busy and leave a message. Pretty unprofessional performance.

Farrell sent out their design person and she spent an hour listening to what I want and need. She made many suggestions that were awesome. Two days later she sent me 4 redesigned kitchens, all of which included everything we had talked about. This time they got it right on and perfect.

There were some small problems with getting the correct cabinet sizes. They had to re-order from the cabinet maker. We had ordered open shelves and an open cabinet over the refrigerator. When they came in they had an open cabinet where the shelves were to go and the wrong size over the refrigerator. So that took a little longer to complete the project. This was not Farrell's fault but they did work hard to get it corrected. We are planning to have two bathrooms remodeled in the future and will call Farrell back to do them.

Neat, everything they said they'd do was done. Their a company that gives you a very safe and well cared for feeling. They were timely, and not a nail or any garbage was left on our property. As a matter of fact, we want to do our floors over. Phoned them and they have the job, the second it's spring! They are a company that sticks to their word.

They gave us a couple of prices but it wasn't as detailed on the estimate. And I always like to know what I am getting for the money.

The reps from Farrell were professional and punctual. They asked for our input on how we imagined our kitchen renovation and took measurements. We received two computer renditions of what we discussed 3 days later including an estimate for the renovation . The computer renditions were OK but were only one version of the remodel we asked for. The remodel estimate was double the amount we said we wanted to spend. They were out of our price range but helped us visualize what we wanted .

It didn't go particularly well. First, they told me that the area I wanted to have tiled was larger than the area stipulated in the deal, so I told them I would be happy to pay the additional cost. Then, they directed me to a tiling store where the salesman had been told that I was only allowed to choose tiles that cost $2 or less. Once again, I told them that I would pay the additional fee in order to have higher-priced tiles installed, but I requested an estimate before anything else took place. Unfortunately, they have not followed up with me, and it's been difficult getting in touch with them about that estimate.

Done promptly and have had no problems.

When I received the estimate by email, I felt the "3D" computer renderings were disappointing, and I was concerned that the tub the designer had offered as a suggestion (online) would actually allow only 6 inches for me to enter the shower enclosure. All in all I did not feel the designer was sufficiently sensitive to the overall effect I wished to achieve and, therefore, I decided to go with another contractor. The second contractor spent nearly 4 hours with me on planning the bathroom remodel and provided an estimate at no cost. The overall price of the second estimate was lower and was also a consideration in my decision.

Everything went well. He arrived on time and listened to my thoughts about the remodeling of the kitchen and gave me his thoughts. We discussed which ideas should be used for the 3D modeling and he left after taking all of measurements in the kitchen. The following week I received the models via email.
