Work spanned a couple days. Within a couple days of agreeing to the work, the crew was onsite to get the job done. We did remind the crew a couple of times about some of the added work that was agreed to and they got it done. Had a little issue with the clean up that required a call back to the office. They were very responsive and the owner was out the next day to check on things. For me personally, I understand things can happen. It is very important what is done to make it right. I felt the company stepped up to the plate on this. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. The lanai looks great! Thanks much!

All of the people that came to our home to work as part of the Wayne Allen crew proved courteous, professional, performed outstanding work and removed all debris at each stage of the work. The price was fair (we had gotten multiple estimates) and WoW did we get our money's worth! Its a very good feeling to know that the roof is safe and sound for years to come.

Work was completed on-time and had no issues with the general contractor.

They were excellent on all counts. They were wonderful and I would highly recommend those guys. In fact I am keeping their card. They only had one card; they ran out of them. I would certainly share their name because they were very good. They gave me a discount because I am with Angie's List, which was terrific. That was the best price anybody had. They screen pool cages and screened in lanais. They repair them and I think they make them. They were a little bit late, but that was okay. They were so nice. You bet that I would use them again in the future.

I found this company on angie's list...I called at 7 pm in the evening expecting to get an answering machine instead i was amazed and pleasantly surprised my call was answered by the owner himself who was very patient answering my questions, ,friendly,and professional.... The following day i was again surprised and delighted when he showed up in the morning as promised to give me an estimate ..We agreed on a fair price and the job was completed quickly and to my satisfaction....This gentlemen exceeded my expectations and i would use him again and highly recommend him to anyone .He is professional, honest ,punctual ,and does quality work .

The bid went very well. They were very professional and very fair. All the bids I got were very, very close in terms of price.

Job went very well. There were some delays for permitting, weather, and other usual factors. Otherwise, a pleasant experience. Finished job is high quality--better than we expected.

Steve is the best! He got more than he bargained for with that window, and it was a pain for him. He is professional, punctual, and neat. He does what he says he will do. I know have much more comfort and less noise in a room facing west with no shade! I will call this company again!

Overall the process was excellent. The quality of work is top notch. Steve is absolutely honest and straightforward. He and his crew work hard and are very friendly. It was a true pleasure working with a contractor who I knew I could trust and believe without any doubt.

I've used GE & C Inc (Gates Enterprises) twice before and have been pleased with the results. I called Steve last week and told him that I wanted his company to come out and power wash my "bird cage" before the holidays...but that it needed to be done within two weeks b/c of other appointments I'd already set up. He said he was just making up his schedule for the following week and he would fit me in. True to his word he called me up yesterday (Tues) afternoon and asked if this morning would be OK for his crew to come and do the work. The two man crew arrived on time, got right to work and finished the job within 3 1/2 hours. They were professional, courteous, neat, clean and they did a wonderful job. I will definitely use this company again.

Completely professional from start to finish. All work was completed quickly, neatly and professionally.... and did I mention what a GREAT JOB was done? It looks fantastic.

They gave me a $700 dollar discount since I told them I found them on Angieslist. They had the best price and I liked that they use scaffolding - the other companies were going to walk the beams. Their work method makes the job easier and possible for them to do a better job. They power hosed it and did a really good job.

Steve was very prompt in responding to the request for an estimate and scheduling work when his company was selected. The work went smoothly and done to complete satisfaction. Everyone on the job was courteous and helpful. A week later when I telephoned for a call back because I failed to notice if part of the job was done, Steve responded immediately and came out the same day I called. As he pointed out the work that had been done that I didn't notice, he proceeded to insert "head rail" screws across the entire enclosure without being asked. Exceeding expectations appears to be a routine part of their business model.

It was a delight having them. Intermittently, Adam and I would walk around the permimterr of the house and we would look at the areas they did. Very pleasant and professional. When the jobs were done, my husband and I were extremely happy. It was a big job and it was handled with extreme professionalilsm. I will call them in the future.

I called and spoke to Steve and he scheduled an appointment for the next day. They arrived promptly, I believe it was Steve's son. They gave us an estimate on the spot, did the repairs, cleaned up after themselves and left within approximately 20 minutes. The repair is flawless, great workmanship! More importantly, they go beyond great workmanship. The customer service was superb from the moment I called them to the end of the service appointment. They could have charged me a minimum fee to make it worth their while. But, they were honest and did not overcharge me. They go the extra mile to ensure you become a returning customer ? I definitely will be a returning customer.

I called Steve. He came the next day. Gave me an estimate. I said please fix the screens. He did. Right then and there. He was fast, efficient, neat and clean. He did work for us last year and we were impressed then. We are still impressed. I had him give me an estimate for power washing the "bird cage". I will have him back next month to do that job.

Service was prompt and courteous. Communication and quality of work was excellent.

They were excellent. They were prompt and they did everything that they said they would do. The price was with in the estimate that they had given.

I used Angie's List as a source for potential contractors, and contacted three of the highest rated just before Christmas. One was closed until the new year, but I did get bids from two. GE&C was the higher of the two, but I liked their approach to use scaffolding rather than climb on top of the frame. They answered all my questions, and when I contacted them on a Friday to schedule the work, I was fortunate to get them the beginning of the following week(between Christmas and New Years, so they had an opening). They did an excellent job from start to finish. It ended up taking them longer than they had originally thought, but they didn't speed up to get finished, they took their time to get it right. All members of the crew were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. They constantly picked up the work debris, frequently used the skim net to keep the pool clear of debris, and at the end of the job left our pool deck and yard immaculate. They did more than they needed to, while pressure washing the deck they noticed a couple chairs had some mildew build-up and offered to wash them too. They put additional screws in some of the overhead joints that looked a little weak(not something included in their quote). As a last step they pressure washed the pool deck, and it looks great. If you watch them work, you notice they take a little extra time to do things right, not taking short cuts to finish as fast as possible. I would certainly use this company again. They might have cost a few dollars more, but I feel it was worth it. They completed the work for the cost they said they would, and did a few extras that I didn't ask for. I've always been a believer that you get what you pay for, and I'm totally satisfied.

I got quotes back in August from GE C and others back in August, 2008. Steve offered me a discount to do the entire enclosure instead of just the roof. I called Steve on Tuesday and we set up the install for Thursday. Work was completed Friday afternoon. I could find no part of the install that I could take exception to; everything was perfect. There was no sign of trash or anything else left behind.

I spoke with Steve Gates when I called and he was able to come by the same day. He had his son Adam, who is his assistant, with him and they were both very polite and professional. Steve gave me a reasonable estimate and I decided to have the screen replaced. Steve had another job to go to and left Adam to do the work. Adam proceeded to replace the screen and worked diligently until it was done. He even told me that an adjacent section of screen appeared loose and that if I had any problems, to just call him and he would be happy to fix it at half the charge. We are considering some remodeling in the pool area and Steve sent us an estimate for that work. All in all, it was a good experience and I would definitely use them again.

We met the owner on the day we were given an estimate, he was very pleasant, informative and helpful. He applied for the permit, took us to his bank to sign the permit papers. When the permit was issued, we were given a date for the work to start. They were on time and on the date given. Our room was built in 3 days. They did an excellent, professional job, very meticulous workers, taking pride in the job. We would not hesitate to hire them again, we're very pleased and enjoying our extra room. Mr. and Mrs. J.
