The price is good and it's fair.
Description of Work: We have a yearly contract with them. They come twice a year. They came probably 4 or 5 months ago. The contract is $150 or something like that.

Description of Work: Our air conditioner quit running. We had another company that said we would need a new air conditioning system for $7800, Wanting to compare we called Progressive and Valerie came out same day and fixed it and we now have air for $139. She was delightful, knowledgeable, and professional. Would recommend and will use again.

Description of Work: Contacted Progressive to service A/C unit on a rental property in Florida. I am not in the area. They have been to the property before through a property management company that I am not longer using. They told me I could be billed, then the next day they told me no. I was told I would receive an estimate via email. That has yet to show up. I asked about buying an Angie's List deal for the service call. They said they would have to call me back because they needed to see "how that worked". Never got a call back regarding that. The service tech was on time and called the next day with a quote for parts and labor. I feel that the price quoted was high and taking advantage of the fact that I am not there and renters are in the house. I called another company and they did the repair and cleaning for $300 less. Would not use again.

"Big Mike" was the service technician that was assigned to the call. Not only did he call me about 15 minutes prior the scheduled time (to make sure I was home from work by then), he arrived a few minutes early and waited for me to get home. He was fast, efficient, and explained everything that he was doing, and why the compressor stopped working (it was a blown fuse due to power surges). He also spot-checked my A/C system and explained how the warranty from Trane still had another year left. I was extremely pleased with the scheduling of the service call and the manner in which Mike handled the issue. So many techs have this "holier than thou" attitude towards customers, but Mike was just awesome. I highly recommend Progressive!
Description of Work: My house has a Trane A/C unit that was purchased new in 2006 from a local A/C company that went out of business. My compressor went out, so the air blowing was warm. I call Progressive late one night when I realized the issue, and scheduled a service call for the following evening since I work fairly far away from my home.

Estimating the cost of the new A/C was handled very professionally with the person immediately eliminating the "cadillac" version since we did not need it. Then he described all the refunds and rebates and the bottom line was very reasonable and significantly less than the other estimate. The unit was installed the next day and the installers were very neat and professional. I was a bit apprehensive to buy the maintenance agreement wary that it was just a way to find more problems in the other units and sell more service. But to my great surprise when they came out to inspect the two older units they found only minor problems that they fixed for free! Highly recommend these people for A/C issues
Description of Work: After getting an estimate to replace a central air unit from another company we called Progressive Air. They gave us a better price for a higher SEER unit, Then installed it the next day. ALso purchased an annual maintenance agreement on all three units - the new one and two older ones

It was a positive experience overall. The only thing I would mention is that it is a good idea to scope out the quote fully and be sure to know exactly what is being proposed. Progressive had a very competitive quote.
Description of Work: Progressive installed a completely new HVAC system. The old system was removed along with old ductwork running underneath the house.

Our air conditioning stopped working on a 90 degree plus day. One call and they had someone there in an hour. The tech knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. When I told the tech I had just recently purchased the home, he took the time to explain the heating cooling system to me, and recommended some maintenance tips to keep the system running efficiently.
Description of Work: Tech replaced a defective/burned out capacitor in the compressor unit. Inspected system took readings when finished.
