United Water Restoration Group Inc - Pompano Beach

Description of Work: I would highly recommend United Water Restoration for Mold removal. But would never and I mean never recommend the reconstruction side of the company

Description of Work: I knew I had a leak somewhere behind my kitchen cabinets. I phoned the Leak Surgeon, in Naples who found the leak and recommended United Water. The part of United Water that deals with stopping the leak and drying out was outstanding, competent and totally trust-worthy. It took about two weeks and insurance adjusters before "restoration work" could begin. The restoration part of the company relied on sub-contractors and though the supervisor talks a good game, he was interested in only getting his hands on the insurance check and my $1000 deductible. They ended up removing tape that had been used on the ceiling to hold the screened area for drying and taking off ceiling paint which then required painting my entire ceiling (kitchen, living room and den). The painter did not "cut-in" and had to have that done again with constant excuses. If I hadn't noticed and called them on it, I do not believe the supervisor would have taken care of it. The kitchen cabinet had to be removed and when it was rebuilt and reinstalled, one cabinet wall was not replaced. They said the cabinet maker had asked me if the open space was ok (this was two weeks since removal) and I could have said yes. Point is they were to restore to original and if I agreed to a lesser product, they should have it in writing. When they reinstalled the dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc., they did it improperly and I had a leak. The supervisor would not give me a day to be sure all was ok and insisted on picking up the insurance chec the same day. When I discovered the leak, I sent a message to the Pompano office address on-line (which I had to locate and figure out since I had not been told it was the Pompano office I was dealing with)and Iadvised if I didn't have a certified plumber at my house by 5:00 pm, I was sending a message to Angie's list. I had a plumber here in an hour and he fixed the problem. As stated, the water damage work done by United Water was excellent but the restoration work done by United Water Restoration was to me unprofessional and I lived without a 'kitchen' for over six weeks. | |I did not respond to Angie's request because I was concerned the United Water that worked on the water damage might receive a bad review when it is only the Restoration part that was bad. The insurance company wrote separate check for each part of the work.

Description of Work: We had a water problem due to a leaky pipe in the wall. We found United Water Restoration through their positive reviews, and decided to call them and one other company. We received a call back from a United Water representative within 10 minutes, and had the tech out to our house BEFORE the other company even called back - talk about service. The entire process, although stressful, was easy for us. Their team made it easier by giving us tips and checking in on us during the process.
