I wish all business owners were as professional, thorough, and caring as Charlie, the owner. Because I explained to him I am trying to help someone elderly, he met me promptly at the appointed time even after his normal business hours to accommodate our schedule. The very next day I received a detailed report via email with photos to show where the samples were from along with the lab findings which described the specific type and amount of bacteria. He also included a step by step suggestion on how to effectively remove the spores. Charlie then took it upon himself to call me to make sure I understood the findings and see if I had any unanswered questions. What an exceptional man. I highly trust him and would refer everyone I know if they ever need someone for mold detection. A+

He’s very thorough, was very helpful and came right out. He was very sweet, very patient and I would suggest him again. It was just the one time that I had him, I didn’t need him again. It was less than $400, but I don’t remember how much. The quality was perfect, lots of papers, lots of notes.

We used them and they were very helpful. We liked them a lot. I can't remember exactly when they came out. I think it was $300-$400, but I don't remember the exact amount. They tested our house for mold because we had some moisture. One person came out and it took less than an hour. We got the results back a day later.

He came to our home to test the wall (we had sealed it), and he was able to perform an air sample in the wall as well as in other areas of the home. He submitted a thorough report along with his professional recommendation on how to remediate the mold. This was valuable to us as we dealt with our HOA. He was extremely professional and honest in his work.

Very happy with our experience using Mold Detective. I had called a few others, and he called me right back, and was at my home within the hour directly from another work site he was at which was 40+ minutes away (I live in Coral Springs, and he was in Boyton Beach when I called him). He was professional, thorough, and followed-up the next day to find out if I had received his report and if I had any questions. I would recommend Charlie to others without hesitation! He does what he says he's going to do, and when he says he's going to do it.

We called Charles and he was prompt and efficient (even came out on a Saturday!). Very personable and knowledge of the situation. Charles took several samples in and outside of the house. He sent it to the lab and results came back within a day. Charles is a very easy going person to work with.

Charlie was excellent! I called on Sunday and not expecting a call back until Monday. He called me on Sunday and scheduled to come on Monday at 12:00 noon. He showed up as scheduled and was very professional and thorough! he took the tests and then sent to a lab. The following day we received the results which were negative. I had some questions regarding the report and he promptly called me back to discuss. Also, he sent his own report along with pictures. Anyone who want to evaluate their house for mold should use Charlie and his company.

found high levels of mold. Contacted insurance company and they sent another inspector who tested and found much lower levels. evidently the problem was encapsulated in a specific area but different testing protocols were followed. One opening the area and then testing the later...testing then opening the area. Regardless we had to take care of the problem however there was no real reason for a 5 alarm fire alarm with the "serious risk" initial readings. Careful with the remediation companies as well.....they tend to go overboard and charge very expensive rates for work that is in MY OPINION overkill.

Charlie from Mold Dective was pleasant to do business with. The scheduling process was very flexible The inspection and the analysis were thorough. The protocol outlined work required in all rooms of my home not just the kitchen areas where a ice maker line leaked over from an adjoining neighbor. Due to the spreading of mold spores when a wet dry vacuum was used to pick up contaminated debris. I now know not to allow a plumber looking for the source of a leak to move any material with mold without concealing that room from the remainder of the residence and never allow the plumber to use anything other than a vacuum with a hepa filtration system when debris has mold spores / not a regular wet dry vacuum. Had it not been for Charlies detective work, I would not have know spores that were airborne traveled throughout my home by way of the air conditioner. This level of contamination calls for a complete wipe down and pack up of all your pocessions. This is followed by machines air scrubbers and dehumidifiers running for 3 days followed by testing for all clear. Any soft goods clothing etc has to be removed from the residence cleaned and returned when the all clear is determined by a reinspection. Charlie was out of town when the first of the reinspections was scheduled but still managed to return my call indicating when he would be available. I found that going above and beyond the norm. Due to the construction schedule the initial reinspection was done by another company for a much higher price. The reinspection was done with the upper portions of the walls which were not removed during demolition (but effected by the mold) taped up. When the tape was removed days after the inspection it was evident from the smell that the upper portions still contained mold spores. There was more remediation and another round of the machines for 3 days FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER INSPECTION. This inspection was done by Charlie of the Mold Detective. He informed me the effeted walls should have been opened during the test or at least some how tested for any remaining spores. What a difference from one company to another. Proof that more cost does not neessarily mean better results. After a second thorough retest the results came back clearing my home finally to start repairs to my kitchen. Thanks again Cnarlie

We recently purchased a house and upon moving in discovered a potential mold issue under the kitchen sink. We called Charlie the Mold Detective and scheduled an inspection. He was extremely friendly and responsive, answering all our questions every step of the way. He arrived on-time and took moisture readings and collected samples to send to a local lab. The lab results of the swab and air samples came back within 24 hrs and we received a detailed report via email. Charlie was willing to answer any questions we had and helped us understand what steps to take next (the area tested positive for mold). We are very disappointed to learn that our house has mold, but at least we are armed with information and can now take the necessary steps to get rid of the problem.

Charlie responded very quickly to my contact through Angieslist.com. He also responded quickly to all emails and phone calls. He came out within 48 hours of my first contact. He was very easy to reach and schedule with. I needed him to test what a paint contractor identified as possible mold on my ceiling in a few spots. Charlie came out and reassured me by visual inspection that it didn't look serious if it was anything at all. He tested the areas to be sure. He used a swab on surfaces, took indoor and outdoor air samples, and called me the next day with good news that all tests were negative. He followed up within 24 hours with 2 written reports for our records. Charlie gave me an Angie's List discount. The price was very reasonable. I see why he has so many great reviews and A ratings!

Charlie came THE SAME DAY as I called him for additional testing after my kitchen & bathroom were remediated for mold by another company. The reno left a strange smell in my son's room directly upstairs. Charlie literally moved every piece of furniture in there, got up on a ladder & sniffed out the issue near the air vent pipe from the kitchen below. When the test from kitchen came up abnormally high, charlie repeated the tests twice at his own expense! Not only was he prompt & polite, he called me each time w the results as well as emailing a day later. I havent experienced service like this in SoFl before, HIGHLY recommended!!
