Mold Dectective, Tom, is the ultimate professional. Not only did he come within an hour after I called, he did an exceptional inspection and survey of my premises, pointing out the most probable places where mold would be found. I highly recommend him to do a top notch job, which he did, taking three air quality tests, physical inspections of every room, including baths and kitchen and made recommendations on how to remedy certain mold problems. He also showed me how to read the Air Quality Report when I receive it and told me to call him if I needed help with understanding the survey.

Let's face it, if you think you have a mold issue the first thing you think about is the health threat. Then you think about all the horror stories of people getting ripped off. Thomas, The Mold Dective, is an honest guy with experience that puts your mind at ease. We bought a foreclosure located 2 hours from Thomas' office. Although we had a mold inspection prior to purchase, we knew there could still be potential problems. We found them when we removed the base boards. The house had a wierd smell that didnt get better after it was opened up. It sat vacant for more than a year. We're a licensed contractor and we didnt know what to do about the mold. Thomas made the 2+ hour drive on a Saturday to help us. He spent 2 hours taking samples, testing, examining inside and out. There is no conflict of interest here. He doesnt do the remediation. He gives his professional opinion, coupled with his testing results in a clear and accurate report. He's also so "available" to speak with you anytime regarding questions or concerns you might have. We have a plan of action to fix the problem. We are very satisfied with The Mold Detective's responsiveness and knowledge. We would highly recommend him!

The Mold Detective was very professional. He promptly answered my phone calls and showed up on time to test for mold spores in my house. He is a very personable person making our experience with him a true joy. He was very honest and well priced. I called four different companies inquiring about mold testing and he impressed me the most.

Had some concerns because of water leaks at my place of business and since I was getting tired and congested more than normal, I thought maybe there was a mold problem. I had used Mold Detective to take some samples at my home a few months before and was favorably impressed with Tom's obvious commitment to helping his customers. He came to the studio I was renting and looked around pretty thoroughly and decided that there was a fairly evident problem as far as he could tell. Although he couldn't tell what kind of mold it was just by looking, he did remind me that he could take air samples and send them to a microbiology lab to find out. I liked that he didn't try to pressure me to take the samples, he just explained my options and the pricing and showed me a few sample reports to help me decide. He ended up taking a total of four samples and gave me a discount because I had used them before. I didn't ask for the discount, he offered it AFTER taking the samples and simply explained that was the way they did business. Turns out I did have a mold problem and the mold type was very likely related to the problems I was having. Tom discussed a number of possible solutions with me, though he explained that his company did not do the cleanup. I ended up leaving that studio and renting space in another, primarily because of the mold and water damage situation and the building owner's apparent indifference to the problem. I found a much better location and I'm paying less. Thanks again, Tom!

MD showed up on time. He is a loud, boisterous guy, but very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It is clear that he really enjoys his work and loves all things mold related. The testing itself was over very quickly. But MD was intrigued by what might have caused the apparant mold infestation and spend another 45 minutes or so crawling around in my attic, testing different parts of the house, and discussing possibilities with me. It turned out that what I had was not mold, but simply water stains and dirt (with a little normal mold mixed in). I was satisfied with his work and will be using him again to do a complete mold inspection of my house (required by my insurance company for other reasons).

He showed up when he said he would, was very thorough and pleasant to work with.

I called The Mold Detective and a few other companies, but I was really impressed that the actual inspector answered the phone and was able to offer suggestions. Tom came, performed a very thorough inspection and took some air samples. There was a small problem and Tom gave me some steps I could take or a few companies I could call. He called later to see how it all turned out. I would highly recommend this company.
