Actually joined Angie's List to see what others had to say about air conditioner repair companies. Had used large companies before but always felt that they were more interested in selling me additional services. After reading the reviews about Bruce Kelly and his service and follow up decided to reach out to him. Sure am happy that I did!! As others have mentioned, Bruce returned my call promptly. After explaining what was happening, he offered a suggestion as to how I might be able to clear the problem up myself. I took a look at what the plan was and immediately called him back to arrange for him to come and fix it. You can probably tell that mechanical stuff and I do not mix! Bruce came to the house at the agreed upon time.. even reconfirming the appt the night before and calling when on the way. I found him to be very professional, very knowledgable and a person of high integrity. He fixed the problem and after installing a little valve he explained to me what I need to do every few months to avoid having the algae build up in the future. Have already recommended Bruce to my neighbors and to our two children who live in Pembroke Pines. My air conditioner has found a good "doctor" and my wife and I have found a good person that we can rely on.

I called Kelly's in the am and Bruce the owner came out that afternoon and took care of the a/c problem. Their rate is reasonable and I am very satisfied with the service received from Kelly's and would encourage anyone with an a/c problem to call them.

We have a heat pump which supplies AC and heat for our home and which utilizes water from a well. I could tell from the sound of the pump for the well that the bearings were almost shot, and I wanted it replaced rather than have the AC inoperative in South Florida 90 degree weather. I called Kelly Air Conditioning, left a message, and Bruce returned my call shortly thereafter. He came out to look at the pump and gather the pertinent information about it, and then checked around to find a replacement. He found one, which he thought was too expensive, so he found another source with a pump substantially cheaper. He set up an appointment with me to install the pump; arrived promptly at the designated time, installed the pump and checked the system. He's very responsive, professional, personable, and knows exactly what is necessary and how to accomplish it. I've dealt with many AC companies over the years, both commercial and residential, and I would unconditionally recommend Bruce. His prices are reasonable, and the service is great.

We were having a leak from one of our AC units. So I called Bruce. Bruce Bruce diagnosed the problem and presented a couple of options. Since fixing the problem would involve a much laborous and expensive procedure, he did what he could to temporarily fix the problem and suggested that he could either go ahead and do the laborous procedure or he said that if the problem doesn't reoccur, it would be OK to wait for a few months (since winter is approaching and we wont use the AC all that much) to fix the problem from the core. He also showed me what to do if the leak did not stop. Moreover he also went ahead and checked the other AC unit to see if it was fine. Since we have just moved and have a ton of expenses, we decided to wait to see if the problem continued. So far we don't see any leak. So whatever temporary fix Bruce tried has worked. So we have decided to wait as Bruce suggested and we will call him again to get the proper solution in a few months. Had Bruce told us that we did not have a way out, we would have gone ahead and got this thing fixed but it would have hurt our pocket. Bruce's candid and matter-of-fact explanation of the problem gave us some flexibility. We are definitely calling him again before the winter ends to fix this problem.

My air conditioner broke down over the weekend. I called Bruce first thing Monday morning. Bruce told me he had another job already scheduled to perform that Monday but he would still try to get to my house by Monday afternoon. Bruce said that if he was not able to make it to my house by Monday afternoon he would definitely get to my house on Tuesday. I was very pleased that Bruce was able to make it to my house Monday afternoon. Bruce ended up having to replace the transformer in my A/C unit. Bruce got the job done right and it was done in less than an hour.

He was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Would call him again and recommend him to others.

We called Kelly AC & Appliance service yesterday because our AC was leaking. When we called Bruce he gave my husband instructions in order to stop the leak. He was very helpful and he was trying to save us money so he didn't have to come out since it was a quick fix. My husband tried but it didn't work so Bruce said he would call in the morning. and let my husband know what time he was coming out to see the unit. As he said, Bruce called in the morning and was earlier than the estimated time. By the time he came out I guess the pipes had flushed and the AC was working fine. He gave my husband instructions on how to maintain the AC so this would not happen again. He was great and charged us half of what any other company would have charged us. I hope we do not have any other issues with our AC, but if we do I will definitely call Kelly AC & Appliance Service. Great Experience!

A/C was not working so I called for help, which I got over the phone in itally but then asked Bruce to come look at the unit. He came out the next day, on-time, fixed a failing relay and explained all my options on a an older system. All-in-all, very proessional at a fair price. I will definately use Kelly's again

Amazing experience! Called Bruce around 2:25pm today and told him my A/C just was not getting the house cool. Also told him that I did not observe any freezing on the coils and the drain pipe had condensation coming out. Despite the a/c being on for several hours yesterday afternoon andevening, temps inside house stayed in the low/mid 80s. BY morning, the house had cooled off to the very high 70s. Bruce told me he was on his way to a job in Hallandale but could try to swing by on his way to the job or from the job. He also had a job scheduled in North Broward that would take most of his next day morning. He told me he would call back and try to figure out what his schedule options were. A short while later he called me back and told me he could be at the house in 30 minutes if I could meet him there. I told him I would leave work immediately and meet at the house. He showed on time as estimated, spent about 1 hour looking at unit, testing some things out and working to resolve the problem. After he did the work he did his best to explain what he believed the problem to be, which included a little science lesson about the balance/ratio of the liquid and gas elements and how the mixture of the elements actually causes the "cooling" of the air/unit. Since 10th grade earth science was my last science class, it was way over my head, despite his best efforts to "dummy it down" for me!! LOL He also mentioned that my particular unit has an expansion valve that may be "slowly" going bad and may need to be replaced sooner then later This valve may ahve helped cause the improper balance of the freon/elements that helped cause the poor cooling. He said that if the a/c did not significantly improve to just call him back and he would return to conduct additional testing! I know I was a bit lucky that Bruce was alreadg heading towards the vicinity of my house, but I also know plenty of other serve folks who would ahve said, "July...temps near record high... short notice... I can maybe schedule you in for Monday." Not Bruce! I felt like he made it a priority to try to get my a/c fixed sooner rather then later! My experience was among the best service I have ever received in South Florida.

We were very worried when we smelled gasoline through the air vents. I called a couple of companies with after-hour service and they quoted a fortune to come out after 7pm so we sweated through the night. The next morning I signed up for Angie's List and found great reviews about Bruce at Kelly's. I called Bruce and he said that he could come out that afternoon and inspect the AC. When he arrived he met with my husband and inspected the unit. He identified the problem quickly and advised that it was not a major problem. As we had not had our unit serviced in a couple of years he performed a service and topped off the freon and resealed the air handler. As our unit is older my husband inquired about the cost of installing a new one. Bruce sent over a very detailed estimate within a week. The pricing was very reasonable and we expect to be contacting him within the year. Overall, we were very impressed with Bruce Kelly and how courteous and professional he is. My husband felt that he was being very fair and honest with us and his pricing is extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend him to anyone in our area.

I had an air conditioner that was pouring water on the floor. I called Kelly's and Bruce came out within 2 hours, as advised. The water drainage pipe was clogged up but I was unable to remove the pipe to clean it, due to poor prior installation. Bruce installed a new pipe to make it easier for me to clean. He cleared the clog and the water stopped draining on the floor. Additional information for maintaining the A/C was explained to me in detail. The service provided was professionally done and efficient. I would definitely do business with Kelly's again.

PLEASE try Kelly's before you try anyone else. Bruce Kelly is amazing. He came out last year for the first time, I was extremely happy with his work, left a positive review. Today I called and left a message on his machine that my thermostat has gone wacky, it didn't know what the temp was inside the house and it kept changing the desired temp. and then it just quit. He called me back within 15 minutes and told me to try changing the batteries. duh. didn't know there were batteries in there. I tried it, that worked, I left an A-OK on his machine and he was kind enough to call me back to tell me he was happy he could help. This guy is amazing, his prices are beyond fair, and he is honest and trustworthy. You can tell this is a family business because they care about the people. Cheers to you Bruce, you are now on my Christmas Card List!!!! Connie

Great job, fast and they charged a reasonable price.

Phoned Kelly's air and spoke to Bruce-Set up an appointment for that week-Bruce was running a little late, however he did call to tell me he would be there shortly.He was very professional and answered any questions I had-It was a very satisfactoary experience and I would reccomend him highly.

I had what I thought to be only an air handler unit in the attic that wasn't coming on. He came out to check that and discovered that there was a problem with it but there was also a problem with the electrics. An entire $250 master switch had to be replaced and he referred me to somebody else for that. He found somebody to bring out the switch and get it done. He came out and checked all the air conditioners for me. He even found and fixed some tears in the insulation that was allowing air in or air out and not helping me be very efficient. They were top-notch. I would recommend them strongly.

The overall experience was great.

Bruce arrive on time and promptly started examining our AC unit. He found a few things wrong and showed me the problems. He showed me how to change the batteries for the wall control unit. He cleaned our AC unit and replaced an electrical switch ( it had blacked contacts). Now when the AC comes on at night, there isn't any squeaking to wake us up.

Mr. Kelly returned my phone call within 15 minutes. The work was scheduled for the next morning, and I told him that if he finished his day early and could fit it in today to let me know, as I was flexible today., He called a short time later saying he had finished early and could come immediately. That meant that from the time I called until the time my AC unit was working again was less than 5 hours--can't beat that! He was completely professional, courteous, and took the time to explain what he found and what he did to repair the problem. I will definitely call Kelly's AC repair should I need to, and if I have an appliance repair need I will try him for that as well.

Kelly arrive promptly, begin searching for the leak that another technician couldn't fix 8 months ago. He was thorough, quick and efficient. Diagnosed the problem and how he is going to tackle it. Even though is a condo which requires lots of walking up and down the stairs, still, he executed within 30 min, He sealed up the leak around the in and out vale and pump in freon. His work shows the depth of knowledge he has for this profession. I will definitely use his service again and refer him to my friends and family. Thanks Kelly for your great service.

It was excellent service. We got a 20 percent discount for being an Angie’s List member. They answered all our questions about air conditioning and keeping it up to date. The person was excellent.
