The short of it is I am extremely pleased that I decided to give Kelly's AC a call because I asked them to evaluate my system and if it needs replacement, what that would cost, and Tom who came out had the honesty and integrity to tell me that my system could last for a few more years, or more with occasional maintenance and parts replacement. That is what I prefer but not what three other firms tried to convince me. My story: I bought the house almost 3 years ago and did not think much about odd location where air handler was positioned in attic until AC stopped working one day in December and again 3 times between mid February and mid March. I've been using another company under labor maintenance contract who had an A+ BBB.org rating. At my first air conditioner outage this competitor replaced and installed a new 60 amp breaker to air handler and transformer. Second outage this competitor replaced a bad blower fuse, replaced a good bit of burnt wire, and recommended me replacing whole system. The next day the AC again wouldn't come on, and a 18 year old looking kid tried to sell me the system at lower price, got AC to work for a week or two, but he left all the wires disconnected, uncovered from box and evidence of his inexperience if not fraud to sell a new system. I then called a second company after reading a number of ethical and service quality complaints about who I had under contract, and to see how much of what my first vendor says is true. This second vendor's service quality was good, but he also thought the system needed replacement after I showed him the first company's quote (that was on the last service repair invoice). He couldn't believe the condition in which the prior company had left my outside unit, and he spent 30+ minutes rewiring or reconnecting AC lines. He noted, "unit is 9 years old and in poor shape" and had someone come out next day to quote a new system and point out need for additional steps and costs required. I carefully selected Kelly's and a fourth company to evaluate the system using Angie's List. The third came by and said he didn't want the work because of all the work to remove and reposition the air handler in attic. I don't think he considered whether the system could or should be repaired. I also had scheduled a friend of a friend who has his own self proprietorship AC service/installation come by today after Kelly's, and after I pointed out what Kelly's said earlier in the day, he backed Kelly's report as the truth. Yes, my system is 9 years old; it could be replaced with a new system, or it could also be maintained with minor repairs for a good while. Kelly's experience was the best, and I will use them as long such excellent service continues. He found and replaced a bad wire and cover, burnt, and he redid connection. He asked a few relevant questions, such as if my power bills were reasonable, (They are.), and then he explained why it's probably better to repair it than replace it now, given the system overall is not that bad or old, and logistics/effort for air handler will add a lot to the total bill when that day comes. He also demonstrated through our conversation his knowledge of the industry and parts of my particular system. I appreciate his honesty and integrity and intend to call them first for AC issues in the future.

I am thankful for the services provided and will contact Kelly's for future service calls. As a customer, I was treated exceptionally and recommend Kelly's services.

Bruce checked both units, told us they were in good working order, working exactly the way they're supposed to; had good freon levels, and his cost was significantly less than the other guy's. Boy!!! Am I glad we called him. He also gave us suggestions on how to maintain the units. We would absolutely use him again - no question about it!!! Thank you Bruce.

Professional and courteous from start to finish.

I had experienced several condensation leaks from my a/c that would periodically flood my garage. I called two contractors previously, but their repairs only fixed the symptom but not the cause. I paid nearly 300 dollars for worthless visits versus Mr. Kelly's single visit. Mr. Kelly was the only contractor to not only permanently fix the problem, but also to build a drain access point with removable cover down which I could add bleach to unblock any slime build-up. Mr. Kelly provided the correct solution at the lowest price. I wouldn't hesitate to call upon him again for any future a/c problems. Mr. Kelly was punctual, professional, inexpensive, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

Was always there when he said he would be. Over all it was a great experience. Would use he services again.

I called Bruce after contacting several A/C contractors for assistance in filing a permit with the city of Fort Lauderdale and help in getting the A/C up to code. Bruce was very responsive and timely and did everything he could to get us through this as quickly and efficiently as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will definitely use him again.

It turned out very well. We had no problems with them; I highly recommed them.

It was a pleasure to deal with Bruce Kelly. He was able to fix my blower fan by just replacing a module and not the entire motro as other repair companies wanted to do and in the process save mew a few hundred dollars. He was clean, courteous, a prompt. Would hire him again in a heartbeat

Kelly's was excellent. Came promptly and fixed our AC and checked our second AC for free. Had previously tried other companies who over charged us and main problem was not fixed. So far no problems with the AC and it is working great.

Contacted Bruce based on Angieslist ratings - came and gave quote and performed the work as stated. Air temperature much better.

Bruce was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He came out on time as promised. Unfortunately for me, parts for my very outdated fridge are expensive. I decided to upgrade instead. I would call Bruce again.

I was very impressed with Kelly's air conditioning. They arrived on time, were diligent, thorough, courteous and professional. The work took about a day and a half and they were very attentive to leaving the house clean, which I appreciated. I would highly endorse this company to anyone looking for a good & reputable service on their air conditioning or ducts. It was a pleasure having Kelly's air conditioning & service fix my problem and will use them again if the need arises.

I have used this service so long that I trust him by leaving a key so he could take care of it and leave me a bill on the counter. He has done work for me for 13 years.

Bruce checked the system and released a little freon. The a/c has worked since then pretty well. He provided me with a quote for a new system and I would definitely call him back when it is needed. Very nice person, I recommend him 100%.

Very well done. Vendor came out when they said they would and quoted the work - went up into the crawlspace and discovered torn and broken aircon ducting damaged by rats. They returned at my request a week or so later, and performed the work in the time they said they would, bringing all materials in, and doing some repair work around the vents to prevent leaking. They were polite and courteous, cleaned up meticulously after themselves, and the owner called back after the work, and then a week later to check up and see if I was satisfied and I certainly was.

On time within price range. Bruce waited around for power outage to be fixed.

Mr. Kelly was fair and honest and did a series of checks to find that an overflow valve had water in it and that must have been what stopped the motor. What I liked most about Mr. Kelly was his persistence at finding the real problem and not simply telling me I needed a new motor, or a new compressor or total unit. He did point out that the very costly capacitor I had had replaced about a month prior by another company to the tune of $375.00 actually was not a turbo capacitor but in fact a regular one which cost $45.00. So he had me at that point. I want someone who will do the work, make a reasonable wage, provide excellent service and be honest! I am so sick of being taken to the bank. It is shameful out there, seriously. He was prompt, professional, persistent, polite and I will continue to use him for all my air conditioning and appliance needs in the future. I am grateful to have found him on Angie's List.

We didnt have to pay for the part but did have to pay for the labor. Services took longer than expected (a few hours), but the quality was good and we were happy with the experience. We would use Kelly's again.

I called Kelly's and came out immediately to look at the problem and told me clearly what had to be done. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I felt very comfortable during the whole process. Working with Kelly's was the best experience I have had with a contractor in the 12 years I have lived in florida. I would recommend then Highly to friends and Family

Bruce was our man. While two other companies refused to give estimates for repairs and insisted we needed an entirely new unit with a new installation, costing thousands, Bruce said he could fix it. And he did. He took down the entire unit and rebuilt the base. He cleaned the coils, of course. And he re-routed the lines leading to the outdoor compressor. Now everything looks great and works great. No more freezing up and no more drainage problems. Thanks Bruce and Kelly's A/C Service! 9 months later and the AC is still working great! 2 other companies insisted I needed an entirely new unit! Thanks again Bruce!
