Unit started shutting itself off and making some strange noises when it tried to start up. Called Bruce first thing in the morning. He had a busy day scheduled but was able to find time a few hours later to come by. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty contact switch. He replaced that and then found a safety switch was faulty which had caused the contact switch to fail. This required going into the attic to fix. He replaced that and explained everything in detail. He was polite, professional and did the job. Rates were reasonable for the work provided. I would definitely hire again.

I had been dealing with a different company who came out twice and the problem still recurred. So I decided to call Kelly's AC - Bruce told me that he'd be there in 15 minutes and was there in less than that (he happened to be in my immediate area). He fixed the problem right away, which was actually caused by the part being incorrectly installed by the previous service provider. Since I had mentioned that I've found him on Angie's List he automatically gave me a discount without having to ask for it. He was courteous and informative. A few days later, he made sure to call and follow up on the AC's performance. From now on, he'll be my go-to AC guy!

He came to give an estimate at a time convenient for me. He provided a competitive price. He came EARLY on a Saturday to do the job and he finished the job EARLY. He cleaned up the mess. He provided the paperwork. He accepted a credit card for payment (not AMEX). He did not charge extra to work on Saturday. I was very pleased with him. I will certainly use him again when I need my second AC unit replaced. I will recommend him without reservation to my friends and relatives. I hope that he is in business for many years to come. He is honest and capable.

I called to schedule a visit to inspect my rooftop AC which recently began vibrating. He scheduled a visit for the following day. He and a coworker showed up as scheduled and rebalanced a fan blade which was causing the vibration (30-45 minutes total).

My A/C died around midnight last night. So I sweated it out until about 6am when I found Kelly A/C in Angie's list. I called and left a message. About 7:30am Bruce called me and said he couldn't be there until after 2pm, so I knew was facing a day in the heat. I was concerned that coming that late they might not be able to get the parts they need to fix the unit, but Bruce told me he was 90% certain he'd be able to get me cool tonight. I liked my chances, so I told him to go ahead. Bruce called me about 2:45pm and was at my home about 15 minutes later. My A/C was blowing cold 20 minutes after that. It's still cranking now to cool down my house from 88 degrees, but it's blowing cold and I'm happy. More importantly, my wife is happy. Turned out to be a bad startup capacitor on the motor, and it was low on freon as well. $240 - done in half an hour! Bruce even checked my coil on the evaporator to make sure it was clean, while his helper hosed the dirt out of the outside coil. They didn't have to do that, that's for sure. I don't recall the Bruce's helper's name, but he was friendly, and more than happy to talk to me about my unit and what it needs as far as maintenance. They were in and out in less than 30 minutes, and I couldn't be a happier customer. Great people + fair prices + spectacular service = customer for life. Thank you Bruce!

Messaged Bruce (late Saturday), got a call back within the hour. I explained the issue that my AC unit was leaking water and he took care of it for me. Highly recommend.

Called Mr. Bruce the day before, informed him that our Air Handler Shut down but the compressor was still running. He told me he can pass by the next day in the morning. He called me 30 minutes before arrival, after looking at the unit went out the get the replacement part and within an hour my room was cooling down! Highly recommend Mr. Bruce, him and his assistant deliver's excellent service!!!

Kelly's AC & Appliance Service is a great and trustworthy company that I highly recommend to anyone that needs home AC repair! Bruce and Chad were honest, professional and very knowledgeable. They provided a courtesy call before arriving to let me know that they were on their way and arrived on time, as agreed. After inspecting my faulty AC, Bruce immediately identified the problem with my AC unit and within minutes, they got my unit working again. Bruce was extremely responsive. He called us back on Sunday after we left a message and he called the morning of the service call to let us know he would be here within the hour. Bruce and his assistant quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He did not try to over sell. He was honest and said the unit is old and it may not last too long, but he said that the repair should hold it for a while. He did not try to convince us to buy a new system. Great communication and customer service. I highly recommend Bruce.

They were professional and did not try to oversell. The replaced our 20 year old system with a new 18 SEER system at a great price. We've relief on Them before and will continue to do so. Thanks Angie's list for helping us find them!

Bruce and his assistant had great communication prior to and during the transaction. They performed the work on the same day I called and completed in a timely manner. Both Bruce and his assistant were friendly and polite. I'd be happy to hire them for services in the future.

Called and left a message and Bruce returned call to schedule mutually agreeable time. He said it would be some time on Monday and he called Monday to say he was on his way. He and assistant showed promptly and got to work.

The company I've been using for years told me that my unit was dirty and that I had a freon leak. They told me that I would put a lot of money into this unit to "find the leak." The guy also said my fan motor didn't sound right. They had me looking for info on buying a new unit as I didn't want to keep putting money into this 6 year old unit. I called Bruce Kelly for a 2nd opinion. Bruce was prompt, efficient and honest. He told me my coils were dirty, but not THAT dirty. He cleaned the outside unit and told me to wait to buy a new unit. How many companies do that??!! I will no longer use the company that I have a service contract with. I'll be using Bruce Kelly.

Net, net, owner Bruce is very responsive, gets the job done, and demonstrates commitment to making the customer happy with the results. I will readily recommend Kelly AC to my family, friends and colleagues. Bruce's in-writing "ready to do it now" quote on the 2nd visit was about $800 higher than the initial rough quote given during a quick 1st visit (where I was still trying to determine if I should repair or replace my existing unit). However, the final quote was still priced better than the next best quote I got on a lesser unit. I obtained 4 estimates and chose to go with Kelly AC because I thought Bruce was a straight shooter, the consistent "A" reviews on Angie's List, competitive pricing and because after extensive research, I ultimately wanted a Rheem. Bruce did not attempt to hard sell at all and in fact discouraged me from any subsequent maintenance contracts (as opposed to 2 other companies who really pushed these "profit padders"). I had some initial registration issues and required an adjustment to pass permit inspection, but these were ultimately resolved with Bruce answering the phone directly anytime I called to follow-up or ask a questions. I had to be specific if I left a voicemail at 9:00pm that I didn't expect a call back that night (or he would indeed return the call ). It's great to know your contractor will be responsive when you are making an investment of this size. If you too are trying to decide whether a new unit is justified, definitely factor in the potential energy savings that come with a more efficient unit. The decrease I've experienced in my total FPL bill in the 3 months since installation has exceeded my expectations and I actually look forward to logging onto to FPLs Energy Dashboard to track my usage. Savings on my total electric bill (compared to 2013) for the first 3 months following installation are as follows: May - LY $239 TY $185 - SAVINGS $54 (23% less than LY) June - LY $294 TY $176 - SAVINGS $118 (40% less than LY) July - LY $337 TY $ 163- SAVINGS $174 (52% less than LY) My recommendation? Get several quotes so you can feel confident that you did your research (and learn as much as you can). Then call Bruce to ensure the job will be done to your satisfaction. When the job has been completed, ask him for one of his cool promo pens with flashlight and soft-touch stylus all-in-one. It's nifty as all get out. Thanks Bruce for the goodexperience.

Kelly AC did an exceptional job. For both the initial service call and the subsequent repair they arrived exactly when they said they would. The replacement of the air handler and condenser was completed much quicker than I anticipated and at a fair price. They were courteous and professional...I highly recommend them.

The owner, Bruce, did the job himself. He and a helper showed up exactly on time and completed the entire job in about four hours. I have no complaints. If I have a future AC issue, I'll call him first.

If you are in the market for anything HVAC related, do not hesitate to contact Bruce's company. Kelly AC was professional, responsive, punctual, honest, and their work is solid. I wanted to replace an old AC unit (14 years old) with a more efficient unit, so I called Kelly AC and Appliance. I spoke with Bruce and arranged a day for an estimate. Bruce arrived, (on time) assessed the job, and a day later, emailed an estimate for the parts and labor. The estimate was fair so we set up a date and time for the job. Bruce arrived exactly on the date and time agreed upon. In about 3.5 hours the entire job was done; removal of the old unit and installation of the new unit along with a condensation pump (which is awesome, no more clogged up gravity line). Overall excellent work, we will be using Kelly AC for any and all HVAC needs in the future. Bruce gave us a call about a week or so later to see how the new unit was running, class outfit. I called Kelly AC & Appliance on May 8, 2014 and explained: "Our air handler is making noise, but the AC seems to be working fine"; Mr. Kelly was extremely personable and accommodating and asked whether the next day Friday, May 9th. would be ok ( after I said, "no rush' ). He promised to call the morning of the 9th to supply an arrival time, which was not only adhered to but included a second call letting me know he was on the way. Upon arrival Bruce Kelly ( now the AC was no longer working ) Owner/Technician rapidly diagnosed/charted the broken part data ( had to be ordered ) and got our AC unit up/running with professionalism and expertise ( see above ) on the spot. Mr. Kelly stated: "the part will be in early next week and I'll call you to arrange an installation time". As he was leaving, my offer to pay Mr. Kelly for his services to date, was graciously declined; "just pay me when I come back to install your new part". As Bruce promised ( due to our mutual respect we were now using first names ) the part arrived on schedule and with timely installation as arranged. The total bill, including the "new part" cost and two trips requiring repair was unbelievably reasonable at $275; the 20% Angies List Coupon offered by Bruce, notwithstanding! Mr. Kelly(Bruce), because of his professionalism, experience, technical expertise, honesty, and efficiency has a customer for life. The highest recommendation!

We called Bruce Kelly July 9, Wednesday and he actually answered the phone. He arranged to come that very day and check out the A/C. He arrived on time and called before he came. Indicated that the part was not standard and he had to get it but would temporarily fix our A/C so it would run until he could return the next day. He actually did just as he said and not only called before he arrived the next day but arrived on time...actually early! He was in and out in a very short time and the A/C is running perfectly. I'll certainly call him when we need our A/C inspection. So glad to have an honest and local repair person to handle our A/C. We've used others and they were not as responsive or honest as Bruce. I'll also call him to service our appliances when needed. Thanks Bruce!!

Even though I called late in the day, past normal working hours, he returned my call within the hour and scheduled the appointment for noon the following day. On the day of the appointment, he called and said he could arrive early and did so, about 2 hours earlier than the appointment. After determining what was wrong, he gave me a quote but informed me that he did not have the part but would have it by noon on the following day. He arrived right on schedule with his assistant and they replaced the defective unit within a few minutes. While they were working on it I asked if they would clean out the AC pipe with their high pressures tool. They did and modified the connection between the AC handler and the pipe so it would be easy for me to regularly clean out the pipe by adding some bleach. All in all, they were here for less than a half hour, they charged me 2/3 of what they originally quoted and did not charge me at all for cleaning out the AC pipe. They were on time, within budget, professional and the unit functions well. What more could one ask for. I had him put a label on the AC unit so that I know just who to call for future service.

They did a good job. Installed a brand new inside unit which is now cooling nicely. Looks nice and tidy too. When he initially came out to check our unit, and it was determined that it was time for a new one, Mr. Kelly suggested that we could JUST get a new inside unit so the cost would be lower, and try to get some more years out of the outside unit. This was a great solution for us, and what we ended up doing. We liked that he provided a solution that was lower cost to us, and did everything as agreed. Nice guy too.

Bruce answer promptly to my call, we fixed a date and he came early to the appointment. He was straight forward and direct to fixed the AC. He was very open, gave suggestions and was fast. I liked the service and will follow up with him. I also believe that the price was adequate to the service provided. I found it very difficult to feel comfortable with AC repair service companies, I believe that all the reviews in Angies list on Kelly AC are spot on I would recommend this company.

The old duct was taken out, and Tommy, the one in charge of the sheet metal work, replaced it with a new one, installed a collar around the base (which was the requirement of the roofing company) and properly sealed the exit of the duct from the gabled to the flat roof. He even stayed longer than the roofing crew, making sure that everything was all right, even though the weather was really threatening and about to star pouring.

What a great experience! This repair was done at a property i own with renters and I was not able to be there on the property. I called Bruce and made an appointment for a specific date and time. Bruce showed up when he said he would and introduced himself to the renters and took a look at the dryer and Ice delivery door. A couple of parts had to be special ordered, so a few days later Bruce came back at no additional charge and finished the job. My renters are very happy! They also told me how professional and courteous Bruce was. Bruce is a real professional who knows exactly what he is doing, and you can count on him to get the job done right.. I will be recommending him to all my friends and neighbors. Thank you, Bruce!
