Engineered Air

Wonderful company, friendly, efficient, and accommodating. I had gotten the run around from another company. I was told from another provider they would be out to fix my A/C but then cancelled the appointment. Try living in SFL another night without A/C, so I got Engineered Air from Angies List, and they swiftly fixed the problem. They sent a tech out with in a couple hours, I had mentioned that the drip plan was clogged and that was the issue. They performed an acid wash and problem solved. Not to mention, their charge was $115. The other provider - that never showed up - was going to charge me $425. I also signed up with Engineered Air for two bi-annual maintenance contracts for my home and rental. I spoke with Sandy, she was wonderful to deal with. She reviewed the work that was just done and decided to credit my annual maintenance contract fee with the work that they just performed. I didn't ask for this credit, she did it on her own. I trust this company and highly recommend them.

Engineered Air LLC sent me the most competent, courteous, knowledgeable and professional techs to install a brand new air conditioning system in my very old house. All the work was done thoroughly and in a cheerful manner. They made sure that my house was not impacted at all because they used floor protection and cleaned up all debris afterwards. The new units (inside and outside) have been installed much more neatly than the old ones were. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs A/C work done by people who take pride in their job. The attention to detail impressed me as well as the demeanor of the techs who had to work in temperatures exceeding 95 degrees. The company did a follow-up to make sure I was satisfied with the process.

It's very good. I've used them before and they're very prompt. The price is fair and they give you service that makes you happy.

We purchased a two-visit package from them. They never followed up after the first visit to schedule the second. I feel as though they should have taken the initiative to schedule the second visit. I ended up having to call them to set it up. The first visit was adequate and they did a good job, I was just disappointed that they did not do the follow-up.

The service has been consistently excellent. The are very punctual and are always polite. They are very knowlegable and competent. I think they are a good value for the money. I have been very happy with their service.

The work was done very well and they did a good job. They were on-time and professional. The only issue I had was that the man who came said I would need a new air conditioning system. I asked that they give me a quote for a new system. I never received the quote so I had to call them several times. They have never returned any of my calls.

never gave/signed a contract. 1)tried to replace and charge high prices on a 2 controls. without my approval. 2) I approved adding Freon . but never told me how much Freon was used and charged $60.00 for a full pound. 3) I called back numerous times and asked for a refund. nobody called back. 4) still waiting for an answer on getting a refund for $30.00. 5) more interested in selling a new AC conditioner. please give refund.

The terrible experienced started by calling their main number, asking for Warranty service needed (for the 3rd time in 1 year) and be given a 4 hour window for service. I asked to be flexible an provide me with a 2 hour window, since the unit was down from the night before and people work these days, you know, so taking 4 hours off from work didn't seem to reasonable. I was sarcastically responded, that's the way we work. I denied to leave work and be there waiting for 4 hours. They called me later offering a 3 hour window, as "that's the best we can do", which I accepted waiting from 3pm to 6pm. No one had showed up by 6pm, so I called the office and of course, it was closed. I called on the emergency number, no one answer. The technician, Carlos showed up at 6:15pm with a sloppy attitude, like if he was obligated to show up "I'm tired man, it's been a long day", for which I responded, "I understand' I've been with the A/C down for 2 days, it's tiring". Carlos' attitude was unprofessional, looked worn and tired and his head was negating all the time. Long story short, he is the same guy that had service in warranty this unit before and not much more I can tell you, if he represent this company. He was quickly stating that it was the blower motor blown and that I had to wait until Monday to see if they could order the part. I said we would be out with no A/C for 4 days, but he was quick in replying, "not much I could do, or nothing I could do". Exactly, this is how much this company has done for us 3 times in servicing warranty, nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. Oh, yea, the urgent service call? It was finally answered to me 1 hour later when the technician was gone already, so much for the urgency...

Excellent. Good worker. Company polite and efficient

Our A/C suddenly shut off. They came and found the switch was out. He ordered the part and came back without any extra charge except for the part! The technician and the company are all about the customers! They don't want anyone to be with Air Conditioning! They are professional! They are quick and efficient! They were very accomodating! We appreciated them!

Very pleased with technician. Very polite and professional. Diagnosed the problem with one of my compressors and had the part on hand to get it fixed. Definitely recommend especially if you have Lennox units.

Technician was prompt and called about 1/2 hour before arrival to let me know he was on his way. Arrived shortly after that. Identified the problem within a very short time, replaced the thermostat, checked that all was working properly before leaving. Very professional and courteous.

Ken was very knowledgeable and use his personal experience to illustrate that having the duct system inside the home was more cost effective than trying to replace an outdated duct system in a very small attic. They came out again to consult with the handyman, Lee (separate charge for his work to cover duct work $1200). Greg also came out to look at the space before beginning duct work. It took about 2 1/2 weeks from the date the contract was signed for work to begin due to schedule conflict and as much as Greg and his apprentice tried to keep the area clean it was dusty and I felt slightly disoriented. They stayed until about 11:30pm working to get all the duct work done, which I appreciated since, I could not live through the mess again. Lee came in after and covered the duct system and plastered the wall to match the existing wall. The work was done professionally so that even my aunt did not notice the change until I pointed it out. Overall, I got what I paid for. I never really had an issue with contacting Ken or Greg. They also ensure that the handy man fixed the whole in my ceiling that occurred during the work. Overall, I didn't have a working a/c for about 3 days but they provided me with two individual units. I referred them to my aunt for when she needs work done and I will refer them again. This is one of the few good experiences I've had with contractors etc.

Their rates were astronomical. I contacted someone else who said it was not true. I didn’t need any of the features they tried to add on for over an $1800. I was able to do the service for around $900.00. I understand that what they said could have been partially true for their quality standards. They were able to come out relatively quickly and they were thorough. I just don’t feel they were honest in all the things that needed to be replaced. They were very nice and well presented.
