+ 0 moreWe hired David because he made the whole process easy for us. Since both of us have hectic schedules, David made sure that he was on time and always called the previous night to confirm that he would be working in our home the next day. He also made it so easy picking out the tiles, granite, fixtures and cabinet design. I did not have the time to run around and pick out all these items to make the master bathroom look like a masterpiece. David took the tile we picked out and helped co-ordinate the colors, mirrors, cabinets, fixtures and frameless shower. His daily clean up was a definite bonus. Our bathroom looks fantastic and we could not be more pleased with the QUALITY of his work.
Description of Work: We discovered a shower pan leak in our upstairs master bathroom. We decided to have the entire bathroom remodeled - new shower, shower doors, cabinets and ceramic tile.

+ -1 moreI called and left a message, did receive a call back, gave my address for an estimate, when we got into the small job was advised he was too busy and could not get to work until September. Very nice but would have preferred to have known up front. Received a few calls back, if they were too busy, they did provide other recommendations for work to get done.

+ 0 moreWIthin a day or so of speaking to David on the phone, he was at my home to give an estimate. I felt comfortable with his style of communication- gets right to the point and is pleasant. After meeting with a few different people, I found David's "all in one cost' the most appealing. David actually quoted 3500 for the demo/shower redo and 725 for cost & install of shower doors. Our shower is slightly smaller than a standard size shower door and the original company David was working with wanted a lot more than his quote. He did some searching and actually got the shower doors and installed for 600 dollars, 125 less than he quoted.
Description of Work: Demo of old shower (actual a shower on top of another shower, it was awful) Brought in a plumber to replace all pipes, fix the leak, replaced a 40 year old p-trap that was full of calcium. After gutting to the studs, he put in a pan liner higher up into the wall to prevent future leaks All walls completely replaced and now are made of dense-shield – mold resistant, water resistant, coated All pipes changed including P trap replaced. Brought in all tiles, which meant hauling to the 2nd floor. He is very helpful if you are looking for design feedback. Tile work is excellent and pitch drains smoothly. David left the place clean and neat every single day. He even vacuumed.

Description of Work: David respond quickly to my call. He came out and gave a fair quote. He was on-time and asked many questions to determine what I was looking for. He answered all my questions and gave us a quote quickly.

+ -1 moreJob consisted of two visits, one to set the tile and a final vist to grout. This is our 2nd time using David this year, and we were just as pleased with his work this time as we were on the prior job. In addition to installing the glass tile that we purchased, David recommended and picked up some additional stone tiles to use as accents in the design. Price was quoted by the sq. ft and there were no surprises when we were presented with the final bill. Will use David again if the need arises.
Description of Work: Installed 18 sq. ft. of glass mosaic tile for kitchen back splash.

He clearly identified and explained the problem, provided recommendations on new floor tiles, and accurately estimated his total time to complete the job. David was on time for each of his scheduled appointments (took 4 visits- removal of old tile, re-float floor/ repair window sill, install new tile and grout). We plan to use David again in the next few weeks to install a kitchen tile back splash.
Description of Work: Tiles along window sill of walk in shower enclosure were coming loose due to improper original installation. In addition, water would accumulate on shower floor and not quickly drain due to slope of floor. David removed the window sill, floor tiles, and pan mud, corrected the underlying problem, and then installed new tile. In addition, he re-grouted the entire shower area.

Description of Work: Excellent experience, always professional, on time, very nice work with attention to detail, reliable. Mr. Shanon riped out the tile on the entrance way and installed new pavers. All job completed in about 3 days.

+ -1 moreI found David on Angie's List after the contractor I was using did not work out. David looked at the job, knew exactly what had to be done and gave me a competitive price. It took three visits to rip out, resheetrock and retile the damaged area. Each time he was prompt and efficient. The whole job took a few days from start to finish. David was extremely neat and cleaned the worksite each visit. He covered my tub so it would not be damaged. The total bill was very fair and the work was excellent. I would highly recommend David and use him again for future jobs.
Description of Work: Rip out of damaged bathroom wall tiles and replacement with new tiles.

Description of Work: Had a small bathroom that had to be torn down and remodeled. Dave did a great job. Looks so amazingly different and modern. I am not much of a decision maker so he really helped in that area as well. Looking forward to using his services again on my other bathroom.

+ 0 moreDave was very meticulous in the work he did and always punctual in arriving at the promised time. He works in conjunction with an excellent custom carpenter and a plumber. Other than these two gentlemen, Dave does all work himself; nothing is subcontracted out. We would have no hesitation in recommending him for any sort of tile work or a complete renovation.
Description of Work: We hired Dave for a complete renovation of our master bathroom. This involved the dismantling of the existing bath down to the wall studs and the installation of a new bath consisting of shower stall, marble and glass trimmed walls, porcelain floor, new vanity with granite top, new commode, mirrors, and the repositioning of light fixtures and water lines. The price I mention is for all material and labor with the exception of the tile.

+ 1 moreThe overall experience was great. We new from the start that David knew what he was doing and it showed in his work. He arrived on-time, had a great attitude, was very efficient, and did not mind anyone watching and asking questions while he worked. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Re-formed shower pan liner and curb. Used DensShield backer board to form out master bathroom shower and floors. Helped with design, implemented layout of shower, then masterfully tiled, using our porcelain tile, glass and chrome edging choices. David helped us find beautiful, white marble for our window sill, niche, soap dishes and curb. He then grouted it all and the end result is a beautiful, modern master shower.

Description of Work: GREAT JOB THANKS TO DAVID!!!! The Association I work for had ALOT of broken tiles due to trees planted to close to the tile walk way and as time went by the tiles cracked and became very uneven. The building was built some 15 years ago so there was no way to match the tile pieces that were still good and the walk way is all tiles. His suggestion to fix tiles was to make it look like the tiles but use cement. He poured the cement and finished and sure enough it looks like tiles. David is on time and ready to work and stands by his work. We had a spot that some person ran their bike through the cement that was drying and so I called David and he came back out to fix it with no questions asked. He works quickly but has attention to detail It is important to him that everything is done correctly and he takes great pride in his work which is a rare quality to find. We chose the tile ourselves and he provided us with a few choices to pick from for the grout, faucet and lights He brought in an electrician and a plumber to do the necessary work needed. He connected us with a cabinet maker that met with us to choose materials and color to made a custom vanity for us. His quote was exact and included material and labor. We are thrilled with our new bathroom!
Description of Work: We had a 30 year old bathroom that needed a complete update. David replaced everything down to the walls, including the tub, frameless shower doors, tile, toilet and vanity.

+ -1 moreThis was a major (replace all plumbing - above and below ground - electrical, mechanical, etc.) project with Dave operating independently from the general contractor. Dave is a demanding perfectionist which did cause some issues (the tub deck built by the GC's guys was not completely level for example) but the craftsmanship and results were absolutely worth the additional delay/expense. I highly recommend Dave.
Description of Work: 24 X 24 inch rectified porcelain tiles installed in a large bathroom (shower, around tub wall and floor) and bedroom renovation.

He also went out of his way to find matching grout. The fact that he does his own work keeps the quality level both excellent and consistent. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Description of Work: He replaced the bathroom shower floor, which was installed incorrectly by a previous installer. Also he fixed a wall that cracked when there were not enough studs put in to hold the shower door.

We had to wait a while before he could start because he is so busy but the work performed was worth the wait. I would recommend him to anyone. David has the attitude of "do it right" even when taking a shortcut is an option.
Description of Work: Replace tile walkway in front with brick pavers. In the first bathroom, replace the tile and door of the shower, replace toilet, replace the vanity, medicine cabinet and counter top, paint the bathroom. In the second bathroom, replace toilet, paint and replace wall mounted mirror.
