On 8/12/2013 I called and left a message with a woman requesting an estimate. She said they would call me back. When I still had not heard from them by 8/15/2013 I called them. We discussed the jobs I needed done. They would install 2 ceiling fans, 2 track lights, and 2 switches in our gazebo and hang one overhead light in the shed. All wiring had already been done, we just needed these installed. They said they could have someone over late that afternoon for an estimate. Later I received a call saying their guys had gotten rained out of a job and could come now. Great. Chad arrived and I showed him the jobs that needed done. He said he had the tools with him and he could start right now. I inquired how much it would cost and he said he had no idea. He was just the worker and the boss does the estimates. I told him I was expecting someone to do an estimate, not the work. He called "The boss". I told them if they could do it for $250 or less they could have the job. He agreed and Chad started installing the track lighting. Chad was very polite and worked diligently. There was an issue that came up about the type of switch and cover we wanted for our lights. Chad said he was not familiar with what I wanted. I was getting frustrated at this point. I told Chad to have the person in charge call me about finding the switch I wanted. Chad got one light finished and had to leave for an appt. He said he would probably be back in the morning. By 9:00 the next day I still had not heard from anyone about them returning so I called. The man I spoke with said he would check and see where his guys were scheduled for that day and said they would probably be able to come out around 2 pm. I got a call around 4 informing me it would be Monday before they would be back. I asked for the bill for what I currently owed them for installing one light and told them not to come back. They are billing me $80 for installing the one track light. I gave them an A on quality as it looks good so far. However I will not know if it actually works until I have the other jobs done and the electric is hooked up to the lights. In response to what Selectricity said...I am not sure which phone call he is recalling but in regard to ours it is incorrect. First of all in our phone conversation regarding the recess for the box he asked me if I had the tools to do that and I told him yes I would take care of the recess myself (which I did). And that is NOT why they did not finish while they were here. The young man who showed up on Thursday had to be at an appt and had to leave at 3:30. Besides the electrical switch box they were suppose to install 2 track lights, 2 ceiling fans and a light in the shed. All they completed that day was one track light. If what he said was true then why did they not complete the other jobs while they were there and come back to finish the switch another day? Also, when he finally returned my call the next afternoon (Friday) he did not offer to try to come back that day after their current job was completed and certainly did not offer to come over on Saturday. He said they were tied up all day and that it would be the following Monday before they could return. They should have told me on Thursday when they started the job that they would only be able to work a short time and would have to come back, and someone should have told me approximately when they would be able to come back. I was told nothing!! I understand that some jobs take longer than expected. That was not what bothered me. It was your total lack of communication that irritated me. I have never had any contractor leave my house during a job and not give me an estimate of when they would return, even if that date/time needed to be modified later. Hired someone else to do the job. Finished in one morning. Apparently you can make some people happy. By the way the light they installed works great and looks very nice.

He is reasonable. He is johnny on the spot. If you need someone in a hurry he is the guy you call.

Part wasn't available locally, so I ordered it myself from the manufacturer. Played Telephone Tag for a few days to set up appointment, but when Justin arrived, he worked quickly and efficiently. No problems, and I would definitely recommend him.

Job was complete within 4 working days and I am completely satisfied. Everything went smoothly and the house was returned to working order each day prior to the crew departing.Selectricity is an excellent Company!

Showed up on time, did the job and even charged me less than quoted because the job was a little easier for him than anticipated. Can't ask for more than that. Will call again for sure when I need an electricia

This time Dustin did the work, and again we got outstanding service. On time, on target, pleasant and courteous. I have a permanent electrician.

Dustin came out to the house and after a quick walk through, gave me an estimate for replacing our aluminum wiring with copper wiring through out the house so that it would be up to code for insurance.His workers Blake and Spencer began work on the Monday 8/20/12. These men were very professional and courteous. Unfortunately, because of unforeseen circumstances, they were not able to finish the job but today the team of Floyd & Ryan came to finish it up. They were just as professional and courteous! Our house is now up to code and I will be calling Selectricity with any and all of my electrical needs in the future!

I can't say enough nice things about these folks. I hit them with a tall order: a previous contractor had claimed my wiring was OK after the June flood and had already installed new drywall. After firing that contractor, I discovered that the wiring did need to be replaced after all. I was horrified at the notion of having to tear up all the brand-new drywall and delay getting the house habitable again. When I called Selectricity, I was hoping they could do their no drywall damage removal like they do for houses with the aluminum wiring. The owner was up front and told e that, given my house's age, that probably wouldn't be possible, but they would get it done in three days with as little damage as possible. They delivered! The installers were punctual, polite, and very professional. What holes they had to make were small, neatly cut, and the removed pieces are ready to be put back. When there were options, they came and found me so I could choose among those options. They cleaned up after themselves and always let me know when they were leaving the property. They even closed the garage door and reset my thermostat (I turned it down for them so they could work in the cool) to my usual setting when they were done! The old wiring is neatly bundled and ready for me to take to a recycling outfit. Highly, highly, recommended.

They are very professional, they will do a great job and their price was really comparable. Their estimate is for $2800.

The contractor was punctual and courteous. He came with a helper and went to work seeking to find the problem. While the helper was busy working, the contractor also had to answer several phone calls, but worked together with his helper at other times. However,the end result was that we were in the same position as before, except that we had paid for the service call. Also, when we asked what we owed, we were given the sum orally and no bill with receipt was presented. We paid by check.

I called them yesterday morning and they came straight away. I will use them again in the future.

Excellent service and price. Dustin found a solution to our problem for about half the originally quoted price he gave. I also asked for an estimate on having him install a whole house generator and he was kind enough to go over details with me and offer a rough estimate.

All of the work was done quickly and in good order. They even assisted with moving some very heavy pieces. No sheet rock was cut and they even fixed some of my missing repairs. I am very pleased with the outcome.

With Florida insurance not insuring houses with aluminum wiring I was force to find electricians who could do the job and do it within my budget. After searching the web and Angies list I called Selectricity. We agreed on a price and scheduled the work. Once they started they stayed with it until it was done. They performed the job with minimal drywall opening (very minimal). They also fixed and repaired problem areas and installed smoke detectors which I wasn't expecting them to do . Once the job was completed they cleaned the area nicely. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Perfect and quick. The work was done within an hour and they even cleaned up after themselves. Before they started we went over all the work including how we expected it to look when they were finished. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a good electrician. We intend to use Mr. Oliver again as we identify new work in our home.
