Response from Doodlebuggers Service Network
Thank you for your feedback about your experience with Doodlebuggers Service Network. We strive to provide the highest quality & best customer service experience ever, with each customer we serve. There are from time to time customer misunderstandings in our procedures. These procedures were implemented to inform and protect the customer. In the above statement it is very clear that there was a misunderstanding. Let's address the air duct issue first. Doodlebuggers protocol is to charge an air duct inspection fee and if the customer benefits from a cleaning and the customer schedules the cleaning with us, then we will then deduct the inspection fee (after it has been paid) from the total of the cleaning. This deduction is only offered in the air duct division. All aspects of the cleaning and documentation of why you would benefit from the cleaning was shown to the customer at the time of the inspection. Your inspection fee is paying for our professional opinion as to where you would be benefit form a cleaning or not. Our technicians are not trained to "SELL" you a duct cleaning. Our Air Duct Inspection includes digital pictures of key vents (not every single vent, if that were the case we would charge more money for the inspection) and the A/C unit. Our data did not show that you had duct work that needs to be replaced. We hope that whoever you got this information from was able to prove that you needed them to be replaced and you did not just take their word for it. Documentation beats Conversation everyday of the week. If this were the case, we would have recommended the A/C contractor correct this problem first, before an air duct cleaning be completed. Per our office notes, "3/5/2014 9:52:42 AM - Called customer about Air Ducts cleaning, customer getting more quotes". The fireplace division works differently in that we do not deduct the inspection fee from repair estimates. There are multiple reasons for that, however the main reason is that fireplace repairs are typically more parts than labor therefore it does not make good business sense to give a deduction when there is a minimal margin. What I do not understand, is why you would say that you thought our prices and estimates are reasonable but you would not recommend us or hire our company again. We have done everything within our power to provide you with trained, certified, insured and professional technicians at reasonable prices according to you and yet somehow we have failed to make you happy because we did not give you a second discount. We had already deducted a multi-service discount at the time of both inspections. We appreciate your opinion, but feel it is unfair to put a judgment against our company for providing the excellent services at affordable prices all because you didn't get a second discount. It is Atypical for an Angie's List member to make remarks such as yours, because they value Doodlebuggers professionalism, honesty, and quality workmanship. You may want to reconsider what is most important to you and your family when hiring a contractor, the lowest price and shoddy service or reasonable price with excellent service. Thank you again for your feedback. After 16 years in business with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau since 1999 and winning several Super Service Awards from Angie's List, we wish you the best in finding a service provider that can meet your needs.
