Description of Work: We had plans drawn up for an extension of our roofline and deck. We talked with him for a couple of weeks, exchanged ideas and then we never heard back from him

Description of Work: Received a full set of plans to refinish our basement. Plans are nicely done and provider was professional. The quote to finish the basement was too high, so we did not proceed with the work.

Description of Work: Rob was excellent. He kept us informed on the progress all along the way. He had a problem with one of his subcontractors, but it was handled to our satisfaction without us having to become involved. Very professional and a great finished product. THANKS ROB!

Description of Work: Rob contacted me promptly to schedule the basement measurement and was punctual for the appointment. He took measurements and photos, which he gave to a 3rd party to do the actual "finished basement concept" drawing. The first drawing I received was wrong (had the water heater in the wrong location), so I asked for the drawing to be redone. Rob had the drawing corrected promptly. Unfortunately, Rob's estimate for doing the basement finishing was out of my budget. We discussed eliminating a few things, but it was still out of my price range. I feel I got my money's worth for the drawing/concept but could not use his company for the actual finishing because of cost (not unreasonable, based on other estimates I've received; just didn't fit my budget).

Description of Work: Prior to building our new deck of which 18'x18' was covered and half of that was enclosed with half inch glass, I contacted 11 local deck builders. Some never bothered to call me back, but seven gave me estimates for this project. One estimate was almost $200K more than what I paid, but included a bunch of over priced accessories that I did not even want. In the end, I had narrowed it down to two good contractors that were about $8 K apart for the exact same materials. I really liked Rob at Affordable Views and was very comfortable with him, especially with all of the high ratings on Angie's List from his customers. He was the low bidder and the other company told me that Affordable Views would have to cut corners and quality to build at that price. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. In fact, Affordable Views went above and beyond in all aspects of this project. Affordable views used an engineering firm to ensure that this construction could stand up to the elements, stress, and wind for a structure with this much glass. This is an extraordinarily strong structure with a foundation not just concrete piers. All of the materials are of the highest quality including top of the line multi-color Trex decking. This project turned out beautifully and everyone that sees it, loves it. I am very quality conscious and not willing to accept anything that does not meet my standards. I never had a single concern while this deck was being built. And I know that if something ever did come up, Rob would fix it. Not one of the contractors I contacted (even the outrageously priced one) would have built a better, stronger, or more attractive structure. If you need something that Affordable Views builds, you will not be disappointed. The bottom line is that it definitely pays to shop around and Angie's List helped me make the right choice for a contractor.

Description of Work: Estimated cost of finishing basement.

Description of Work: Removed large deck, enclosed with heated tile floor, 12 windows, sliding glass door & 2 French doors. Finished interior with insulation, wall board, heating & air conditioning ducts. Also, stuccoed exterior. It was completed on time.

Description of Work: Remodel master bath

Description of Work: Affordable Views added a patio cover across the back of our house; complete with roofing , recessed lighting, privacy wall , and tongue and groove ceiling. The proper permits were pulled and the work completed in the stated time frame. The knowledge of codes/structural integrity and quality of work was excellent. The job site was cleaned at the end of each day, proper precautions were used to maintain the order/cleanliness of our house and yard. The men were professional in work, manner and dress. The finished work is a beautiful addition to our home. Knowing Affordable Views has been a pleasure, and if we ever add another addition to the house it will be with Affordable Views. From conception to completion the work was flawless.
