Description of Work: Fixed a "hot" outlet, replaced old style with new style ballast in fluourescent fixture, fixed a switch in ceiling fan.

Description of Work: They worked on my smoke detectors a couple of times. They changed batteries and changed out a neon light ballast in my kitchen.

Description of Work: Our GFI Breaker switch went off & would not go back on after our house was pressured washed, leaving our outlets in both bathrooms, garage and outside not working. They sent someone out promptly, he identified the problem and repaired it. The woman I spoke to on the phone, the project manager she transferred me to and the representative he sent out were all very professional. The next time we need any electrical work done, we will definitely call Armstrong.

Description of Work: They put timers in for several outside lights, new exhaust fan with light in the bathroom, they had to make the vent pipe larger and cut sheetrock for the vent. The bathroom was cleaned and you couldn't tell that all that was done. I will most defiantly use them again in the near future

Description of Work: I turned the bathroom light (3 way nite light, ex. fan, overhead light.It flashed and went out. I put a new bulb in and the same happened. I called Armstrong and they came right away. He took the bulb out made an adjustment, put the bulb back in and it worked. I told him sometimes the fan would come on by its self but he found nothing wrong at the fixture. I said I thought it was at the switch. He put the fixture back and it worked. $70 A few days later the same thing happened so I called them back. This time he replaced the socket. I told him again my thought about the switch. He pulled it and found the wires just placed in holes, not tightened down. He replaced the three function switch too. for this second attempt I was charged $106. So to get a light in the bathroom it cost $170+.If he had checked the switch on the wall on the first trip it would have ended fine.

Description of Work: Requested this company do a whole house electrical system check after a massive lightning strike that pretty much blew all systems. Spoke with the guy in charge prior to their arrival about what I wanted done. He agreed. It turned out that our appointment was forgotten (and rescheduled) and then the technicians who came out were unclear as to what was to be done and slightly perturbed that what I requested was more tedious than they originally anticipated. I'm paying for a service. Do it.

Description of Work: This most recent time I had them install some outdoor spotlights. The first time I used them was to diagnose an electrical problem that I was having.

Description of Work: I'm a Realtor and one of my clients needed to have alumiconn terminals be installed.

Description of Work: We had our whole house "retro-fitted" with alumi-con so that the aluminum wiring in the older part of our house would be safe and meet citizens insurance requirements. Guy and another young man. who was in orientation (new hire), came exactly when they said they would, and finished the job in the 2 days that we had been told to expect the job to take. They worked around and thru the furniture that was too heavy or difficult to move. Not all plugs are easily accessible in our house. Had to change every ceiling fan box in the house and put up new fans for us while the old ones where already down. They were very cognizant of our needs and comfort; by that, I mean, they worked from one room to the other so the electricity was not turned off in the whole house all at once, nor was the A/C. While they already were here, we took the oppourtunity and had them install an outside plug for us. This was all included in the quoted price, no surprises at the end!
