They were very punctual with the written estimate and scheduling of service. They arrived right on time and performed the work in an professional manner. They also took all the debris away and made sure any leaves, etc, were blown off my front porch and driveway. I will definately use them again.

Communication was great. David is an arborist and came out to give me an estimate. He explained what we should and should not do to maintain the older trees that were left as well as the one that had fallen. He honored my Angie's List coupon in my estimate and discouraged me from trimming trees that did not need it. My appt. was set within a few days and on the day of my appt., the trucks arrived on time. The tree that fell broke off about 7 feet above ground and luckily missed the house. The tree had previous damage but still had new growth prior to falling in a bad storm. Three guys started working and within an hour, about half of the work was done. I was amazed at how fast it went. After a quick break, the team split up to specific tasks and while two guys continued on the fallen tree, the third guy, the climber, went to the roof to begin cleaning up the dead overhanging branches. They all continued to work straight through until the job was completed. The put all limbs and wood through the chipper and returned to clean up even the smaller sticks and branches. The final part of the job was raking up anything else that may have been missed and blowing off the pavement. They did take off one additional small limb that was hanging low where the truck was parked for me but did not stray from the exact job description/estimate. Make sure you cover what you want done when the estimate is given so it will be on the job order which is fair. Had I only had the large fallen tree removed, the cost would have been much lower but I wanted it trunk cut down to near ground level and additional limbs hanging over the roof trimmed back which added to my cost. I still feel I got a good price for the professional job that was done. I have used other tree services that were cheaper only to have my yard torn up by the wrong equipment being used and inexperience. A Cut Above will be who I call in the future because I am not taking any chances on damage to my home/property with other companies. This company cares and actually saved me money in a previous experience with them because with David being an arborist, he told me that trimming the other tree (that I called about last year) would increase its deterioration and he suggested not cutting on an already sick tree unless I was ready to remove it. I understood his logic and appreciated him telling me to wait. He also suggested other trees that are native to our area that would survive better than the one I will soon have to replace. It was scheduled for Monday, the 20th but they called on Friday, the 17th to let us know that the hydraulics on the bucket truck broke and the repairs would be on Monday, the 20th, so they rescheduled to Tuesday, the 21st. They came to the house at about 8:45am and looked over the yard, finding out the best way to get it done. The took down a telephone line, wrapped it up neatly at the curb and proceeded to take that HUGE oak tree down. It was like a well oiled machine, this team of 3 worked so well together, it wasn't their first rodeo. The 4th man with the grinder came at about 11:30 am and they were completely done about 2:30 pm. They found rot deep inside the stump so it was a good thing to get that thing cut down. The large branches were right over our bedroom and now we can sleep better! They smoothed the ground down and got the vast majority of roots out of the yard. We were well pleased with their work, friendliness and professionalism. Pam even came by to help swap out some equipment, my husband said it was a pleasure working with all of the workers.

Very well. It was a challenge due to the proximity of a screen enclosure and underlying plants. It was done with a bare minimum of damage and cleaned up thoroughly. Expertly done overall. Very nice people. We were quite satisfied.

Very responsive. Professional advice and estimate provided by a certified arborist, and work was performed by a certified arborist. Work was done on time, and a thorough cleanup was conducted. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and will use this company should the need arise in the future.

They trimed a 300 year old live oak so that it would not be damaged or fall on the house during a hurricane. They answered all our questions and cleaned up all debris.

12/16/13 Owner David came by punctually at our set appointment time.. We walked my property and he talked with me regarding what I wanted done. He was especially interested in our 100+ year old oak trees, which at first I thought was going to be a problem as I was not looking to have anything done with them at all. 12/17/13 I sent back the signed service agreement looking forward to and hoping to have this done by Christmas. Pam called me back early afternoon and set me up for the next day! 12/18/13 a team of 4 promptly arrived at 8:30a and began work. As they worked I kept looking out periodically to see the progress of my yards transformation - each time just a bit more in awe and excited for the new look. Team Jay, as I started referring to them in texts to my husband took a short lunch right about 11- 11:30 and then got right back to work and finished up by 4:30. They cleaned up after themselves, raking and gathering the debris as they went and then even cleared my roof, driveway and porch of all the debris that had gathered. 12/19/13 - I have called David to arrange payment and while speaking with him, shared my change of heart on the green "belt" of saplings that I thought I wanted to keep between my & my neighbors front yards. He is sending Team Jay back out today to clear that as well. These guys are my yard HEROES! Professional, courteous and above all I could tell they all enjoy and take pride in their work. We will be referring A Cut Above Tree Care to any and all of our friends that are in need of care as well as keeping their phone number handy for future care of our oak trees.

They came, gave me a quote and were a little bit more professional than another company I spoke with. They offered some services that the other company did not for roughly the same price.

He was punctual in showing up, or early. More than the others I got estimates from, he was communicative, and did what he said he would do. His estimate for taking down the tree was actually the same as what his competition, Sterling gave, considering the method that they offered. I ended up going with Sterling as they offered a cheaper way to take down the tree that would leave a few ruts in the yard. Sterling also offered an estimate of $50 for stump grinding, while A Cut Above's estimate was $200.00. Though I had heard that Sterling was not always good in staying in touch and following up on what they said they would do from my fiance, I choose Sterling to do the work because of the price, but was prepared to call them if they didn't call me.

Easy to schedule an estimate for the work. The work was performed approximately 3 weeks following the estimate. A total of 3 workers with 2 trucks and a large wood chipper arrived. The workers were courteous, and all work was performed as estimated. The yard was left clean at the end of the job. Would definitely use again.

I definitely recommend this company; they did an excellent job. I was very satisfied - cleaned up well.

It went beautifully.... very fast. They were careful to get a neighbor's car moved that was too close to the stump grinding. They cleaned up very well.. .even sent a guy by a few hours after they were done to blow the sidewalk again. They were courteous and punctual and i'd use them again in a heartbeat.

The crew arrived at the exact date and time scheduled. They were very professional and knowledgable. They worked very hard and were finished by 3:00 P.M. Since they carted away all debris - the yard looked perfect.

These guys were totally professional from the moment of introduction until they all thanked me and waved good bye. I didn't realize how my trees had taken over and looked larger than my home, now you can see the house and the trees frame it beautifully. They sawed, chopped, hacked, whacked, fed the grinder, clipped and blew the leaves into piles, then they cleaned the roof of debris and cleaned up so well it all looks natural. They consulted with me during the job and made sure I was happy and satisfied. It was an adventure just to watch them work. The job they did was great. Neighbors have stopped by to comment on how well it looks. This company has done work for me before & I will certainly use them again when needed.

I was not here for the work that was performed. When I returned home I was very pleased with what they had done. They did a very good job. Will use them again when the need arises.

David came out and gave us a quote two weeks prior. On the scheduled day a crew of four came and completed the work. Took them about 2 hours. They were incredible. Worked great as a team and performed like a well-oiled machine! David had said his crews were good, but I wasn't expecting them to be that good! Left the property spotless and completed the work without tearing up the lawn. The guys knew how to maneuver the cherry-picker and Bobcat to avoid such damage.

Very pleased with the result, too bad they don't have a landscaping department to take care of the bare spots.

We called for an estimate. The owner came the next day and spent an hour explaining what was needed and how they would do the work. He explained to us how they would do the work to avoid damaging the trees or our property. This was especially important to us because our Live Oak is over 150 years old. He gave us the estimate, explained how long it would take and when the work could be scheduled. A crew of five arrived a week later with a bucket truck and a shredder truck. They completed the work in six hours. The bucket was only used on the two oaks along the driveway. All other work was done by climbing the trees and lowering the limbs by rope. They also raked and cleaned the yard of all debris. The work was done in the specified time for the stated costs with no damage to the house, pool screen, or yard. We were very happy with the results.

They worked with me to get a date scheduled. On the scheduled date the crew arrived on time and immediately set to work. Obviously a professional crew that did their jobs well and efficiently. Tree was cut down and removed, stump ground down and clean-up done within three hours. Excellent job even with little room to work! $150 cheaper than the next estimate. Would have absolutely no problem using or recommending this company in the future.
