I thought the quality of work was good, and the workers did a good job. I thought their hourly rate was a little high, but their price was still in the same ballpark as the competition.

The movers arrived in time (met me at the storage facility), took 45 minutes to pack and load a 10x20 storage unit filled with fragile artist's studio contents. They drove one mile to the destination, handled everything with care and unloaded everything into a third floor studio (despite the slow elevator) in one hour and 15 min.

Although shop employees did much of the packing, the moving team did a great deal of it too. Lots of fragile items. Crew went above and beyond to be helpful in every way they could. Time was of the essence and this five man crew using two trucks and a large modern trailer made the entire move in record time with no breakage. They were courteous, efficient and went out of their way to do things they were not asked to do. They also, importantly, provided much of the packing material at no charge.

The guys were a little late starting on moving date, but the office called several times throughout the day to let us know they were running behind in their first job and give us updates, which was great of them to do. Once they arrived, the 2 movers - Thompson and Joe - jumped right into action. They were literally running up and down the stairs! They were so careful with our items (and the walls), and were so polite and professional. We even had a few very heavy items. Even though they were fast, the truck was loaded well, and nothing moved during transport. They disassembled and reassembled our bed frames right where we wanted them, and placed the furniture where we wanted. I would definitely use this company again, and have actually recommended them to friends moving recently.

Well, I can't say there was anything that could have been smoother. The two polite men showed up on time and were top notch in every way from start to finish. They were pleasant and personable and worked at a quick pace. They were very careful with our possessions and furniture as well as respectful of the two houses making sure not to damage or bump anything. It was obvious they had a lot of experience in what they do. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

The scheduler, Jackie, was very kind on the phone and called to check on our progress from Houston. She was helpful and pushed our move to the next day on short notice after we were delayed in Texas unexpectedly. The guys showed up on time ready to work, and didn't stop until the job was done. They were professional and personable, listened to our needs, and experienced at their job. After the truck was empty, they helped us clean out the bed, fold our wrapping blankets and re-connect the car trailer to the hitch.

Jackie took my call and fully explained the rates. They charge $180 for the first hour and $90 for each additional hour divided into 15 minute increments. She asked if I was moving my closet and when I answered yes, said the movers would bring wardrobe boxes for me and there would be no extra cost. I have too many clothes and this made my move much easier. Joe and Thompson were my movers. They arrived exactly at 8:00 a.m., as scheduled, and could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They completed the entire move of my one bedroom apartment in 2 hours flat. That includes the 15 minutes it took to drive to my new home, which was a second floor apartment, up two winding flights. Every other service person delivering complained about the climb, but these two professionals never complained, and it in fact barely slowed their one-step-short-of-running pace. Additionally, they disassembled, moved and reassembled my complicated and cumbersome treadmill. They were kind, understanding and even returned to me the $1.25, I paid to get them through onto the Crosstown Expressway, explaining that they had a Sunpass. I explained which items I was most concerned about moving, and they arrived without a scratch. I would use Doug's again, and I highly recommend asking for Thompson and Joe. When I commented on how quickly they moved, they said they only had one speed and this was it. With that, they were off to move a piano for another customer.

These guys were the best. Such gentlemen and quick, efficient, and easy. I was very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Timely in their response. They were able to help me out the same day I contacted them and were there within 2 hours of my call. I would highly recommend them.

THEY WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. HOWEVER, I THINK THEY PACKED THE TRUCK TOO TIGHT AND LEFT TOO MUCH SPACE AT THE BACK OF THE TRUCK, SO BOXES FELL DOWN AND SOME BREAKABLES BROKE. SOME HEAVER BOXES WERE ON TOP INSTEAD OF THE BOTTOM. SHOULD'VE SPREAD OUT THE PACKING A BIT.
