Handyman Howard

We first had contract right after I purchased the offer. I told him I was buying a property and I would contact him after we closed. We closed late February I contacted him in March multiple times but he never responded and after that the offer expired.

Service never happened. The company was great about responding and wanting to schedule, however I bought the deal wanting a good portion of the work to be pressure washing. The provider didn't have a pressure washer, and I haven't found a reliable provider of one to borrow or rent. I thought I could come up with enough other projects to be done instead, but I don't have them to do. So I will instead spend the money on a pressure washer company to do the work since they provide the equipment.

Since work needed to be done at my rental unit, I made the initial contact and then they coordinated it. Once they agreed on a date, work was done efficiently and quickly!

After several attempts to secure Howard's services without success as he did not communicate, Howard came to install kitchen cabinets. He showed up late and upon removal of the old cabinets, he noted some drywall had to be repaired. He stated he did not do drywall even though it did not have to be taped or painted as it would have been concealed by the cabinets. He arrived 11:30, started at 12:00. He was gone at 2PM when the tenant was contacted, apparently returned at some point, and left at 4:30, failing to show the next day though he promised to and did not respond to phone calls. I had the drywall done in the interim so he could complete the job. Just not reliable, and I question why Howard was unable to hammer a couple pieces of drywall in place. Paid for a days work and don't even believe I got half that. Instead of having 1 person in to do all the work, I ended up with Howard, a person to do the drywall, then someone to complete the cabinets that he was supposed to

I called this provider and left a detailed message for services that I needed for my house. I did not receive any response. Very unprofessional.

Howard was outbid by the guy who installed the slider and the window by appx.$80:00,so did not do the work

He was top of the line. He work straight through and did not tire. He was very good. He has sufficient tools to get things done.

The response was quick, and not only did the job get done quickly, but the level of customer service was way beyond expectations. I will definetly call on Hnduman Howard for future needs.

We called him because he had done good work for us on a previous occasion, but unfortunately this experience left us disappointed. Specifically, Howard never returned our call despite the fact that he had dealt with us before and knew who we were. He at least could have called to tell us that he wasn't interested in doing the job.

All went well. Just wish the communication had been better about what he could do and could not do. I had asked him to replace some flood lights around the house and finally realized he could not get a tall enough ladder when they never got replaced. But the work he did was fine.

Howard was simply fantastic. He was right on time, worked incredibly hard throughout the day, and accomplished so much. I cannot say enough great things about him. We will absolutely have him back in the future. It was so nice to have someone finish up the tasks around the house that I needed done and to know that they were installed properly.

Work was done quickly but had to have him return to correct one of the repairs. Although he came back promptly and did not charge to make the correction the overall impression of the repairs is that it was not done by a professional.

I had a new roof put on & of course some of the wood that the roofing company doesn't replace, I needed done....I called(again) Howard & his admin answered & got some time set aside for my needs....Howard came on time with his associate ready to work.....did a survey, decided what wood would need replacing, went to pick up lumber, returned & went to work.....I explained to Howard that I had a carpenter give me a price that was not in my ballpark & he assured me that he would not pad the bill by slowing down....I was happy with their work & the time frame that they finished.....I guess I will just keep using Handyman Howard !

Howard was really nice. He showed up on time and walked around my house with me, fixing things as we went.

It went as it always goes with Howard: timely, reasonable, pleasant and skillful. He is quick to diagnose problems. He thinks in 3D as technician should. He has done electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, tile flooring, masonry, painting and everything else. I trust his judgement and his ethics. At times he brings an associate to provide skills that he does not possess He's a "Good Guy". That is my highest praise.

Due to the long time interval since service, I cannot recall details.

Howard & his partner came out gave me an honest estimate of costs & were ready to start right away.....I thought the cost was fair & he had done some work for me before & was happy with the outcome....they left to get parts, returned & completed most of the job to my satisfaction....there was one little item that had to be finished later in the week & Howard went back to the house & completed the task....Howard is a down to earth guy & easy to work with.....I always ask who I hire if they think they can handle the issue I hired them for & Howard tells me what he feels he's comfortable doing & ones he is not....& with his good workmanship, can't ask for much more.... I recommend him.

Howard is professional, competent, and with a no-nonsense kind of approach. His experience in adjusting for the inevitable problems that arise with matching materials to a project is evident. You can't just "google" the solutions that he comes up with. He's not the kind of handyman who fusses over extensive clean-up after a project. For me, this means that I'm not paying a handyman's wage for "sweeping"; I am after all, a skilled sweeper. I like that Howard keeps the focus on completing the tasks you have set before him, as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. In addition, Howard is honest, trustworthy, dependable and easy to get along with. He's come to the apartment 3 different times, and I'm so pleased with his work. If I wanted something adjusted in a different way, he was happy to oblige. I'm already working on gathering the items I need for Howard to come back and complete more projects. It is such an amazing feeling to scratch items OFF your to do list. Call Howard, you'll be glad you did.

Told him what I wanted and he did the work while I was at work.

I highly recommend Howard and definitely plan on using his handyman services again. He is very knowledgeable and his prices are very fair. He is also very pleasant and took the time to explain what he was doing in detail so that I fully understood.

He did a nice job of putting together the system. Only problem was that I didn't measure the length of my longer shirts, and the space between the hanging bar on top and the lower shelf underneath. The top shelving should have been about a foot higher to give me more room. Neither one of us thought of that. He's a very nice man, who does a fine job.

Sorry if I did not complete a review before. Howard was on time, did the things I needed to do and actually cost less than the estimate. Very nice. Would use again

I used Howard based on the positive reviews on Angie's list. He showed up on time and performed the job we needed done. Howard is efficient and his rate is very reasonable, I will used him again when I have a project.

Howard's arrived on time, did everything on my list in a timely manner. His work was good quality and his manner professional. I will definitely use him again!

On time, prepared and went right to work. Worked straight through to his quitting time. Took over a Kitchen Cabinet Job that was previously abandoned by both a General Contractor Nixon and his Cabinet subcontractor. With the parts on site Howard was able to put together a Kitchen that the others found unsalvageable! Thanks Howard! Howard tackled this job undaunted. Step by Step until each item was overcome. My wife came home and was amazed! Happy! Smiles! Her Kitchen yeah! With: Square, Pencil, Ruler, Drill, Saw, and level. And, An Eye for the job: On the job Custom Fabrication and all Hand made from the raw materials. I tell you! American Made.
