Response from Handyman Howard
As the receptionist I feel that I should make some sort of statement in regards to this review. Firstly, I don't understand why the review was not written sooner being that the scheduled date for work was back on June 3, 2014. Why did this person wait until five months later I wonder? Also it would have been appreciated if the individual had called in person and articulated their displeasure rather than to have left a hurtful and humiliating review at this point in time. However, having been a former certified nursing assistant, I do understand the frustration that one deals with when they have an illness that they are trying to cope with on a daily basis. Often times people in such a situation are dealing with anger, sadness, and even denial of the situation they find themselves in. When having to fight an illness day in and day out and the constant struggle they face, often times they feel the need to strike out and retaliate against the world. They may not normally say hurtful and unkind things but in dealing with an illness every day it can take the toll on the best of anyone. It isn't nice to write or say things to hurt anothers feelings but then unfortunately life is not always fair. As when one finds themselves dealing with a serious situation in their own life. All we can do is be kind to one another and treat others as we ourselves want to be treated. On behalf of the company, I can only wish this individual a hopeful outlook for their future and also wish them much compassion from others during the days ahead.
