Capitol Carpet & Tile - Palm Beach Gardens

It was very good. We were very happy with them.

Found porcelain tile I loved and had Capitol Tile do everything else. They first had to pull up the old Mexican tile which had been there for years. This is the hardest, dustiest, and messiest part of the job. The workers were fabulous. Even though they worked very hard, they continued to be courteous and professional. After removing all of the tile (there were many MANY bags of debris they had to carry away), they then sanded the old mastic underneath and totally smoothed the floor. Then they had to mop down everything to get rid of the dust. Again, this is a very hard job to do; but the workers were just great. Next came installing the new tiles. I wanted them on the diagonal so it was a lot of extra work and extra measuring and cutting. The new floor looked wonderful even before the grout was put down. It is now SO GORGEOUS, and I now wish I had done the whole house in it.

WHY WOULD I BUY FROM ANYONE ELSE? I would not. I have been dealing with Capitol Carpet and Tile for over a decade. The salesmen and installers are friendly, professional ... simply top notch! Lou Morano, the owner, is a great guy! Thanks Capitol Carpet!!!

Excellent! Salesman allowed me to take home samples and came and measured the rooms almost as soon as I asked. Installers came exactly at the time they said they would and installed floors in less than 5 hours. Everything was left neat and clean. Installers even took time to make sure the threshold flowed onto my tile floor in the hallway correctly. All in all one of the best installs I've ever had!

It was very professional - delivery was when expected.

The gentlemen who came to my house were professional and worked the entire time they were here. They had to come back the next day but were finished by noon and then cleaned up everything. I do find some areas that need to be fixed I need to contact them to come back and do this as I am supposed to have a 30 year warranty.

Not much of a story to tell. The sales staff at the store were friendly and knowledgeable. The carpet was installed on the date promised. The installers were experienced and did an excellent job; they even vacuumed after the install, leaving the rooms inspection-ready. A day or two after the work was completed, we got a call from the mother of the owner, asking how the job went. She thanked us for our business and assured us that if we had any issues, Capitol Carpet would make them right. We had no issues. Nice carpet and a job well-done.

Well it was a non-starter. We left the store without purchase.

I called captial Carpet and Tile and they wanted me to go to the showroom and pick out tile before the guy comes and gives me a quote. she stated that they come and take measurements but that i have to pick out my tiles first. I stated why would I come down and do all this when I do not even know how much you are going to charge for the installation. She was not to helpful like if they did not need the job.

Rich was very courteous and professional. I did not use them because they were outside my price range however Rich went to my apartment within 3 days of me contacting him for a quote. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to get back to me.

They came out, measured and installed the carpet in less than a week--even during the holidays!!

They came and measured for the carpet and quickly followed up with a quote. Everything was included-moving furniture, removal of old carpet,take away and installing of new pad and carpet. . The carpet arrived quickly and an appointment was made to install. They would have done it the next day, but I needed time to empty the items on the surface as they advised. They arrived on time, were business-like, worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up when they were finished.

The installers arrived on scheduled. We weren't pleased with the seaming of the carpet and Capital was very responsive. In addition, the installers nicked a piece of furniture and again Capital was very responsive in getting in fixed. They were very professional in how they handled the issues and we would highly recommend them.

They were $4,000 more. The guy who did the quotation for us was very nice, he even asked me if I want to have a copy of it but when I called the store, the man whom I talked to does not want to furnish me a copy so I decided that I do not want to have business with them at that moment.

We are putting laminate flooring in all rooms of our house. We shopped around to all the standard places, but we started at Capital Carpet and Tile because we thought their selection would be average but thought their prices would be high. That couldn't be further from the truth. Their selection was great and their prices were fantastic! When we got there, the sales rep Kevin didn't hound us but introduced himself and answered our questions but then gave us time & room to discuss. He gave us prices for both with and without installation. Since we had 2 other stops after this, they let us take two samples (for a cost of $20, which was refunded when we gave them back) for comparison purposes to the other stores. We went to Home Depot next and their prices were WAY too high. We went to Lumber Liquidators next. Some of their prices were cheaper, but the flooring styles & colors they had did not look good. They looked to be more like leftover stock. Capital Carpet & Tile's selection was great & we ended up picking out two different colors. When we went back to place the order, Kevin was helpful & took all the time we needed to answer questions & make sure we ordered the right quantity. We had a coupon through Angie's List and they honored that with no problem. We ended up spending about $3000 to do it ourselves, but that covered an ENTIRE 2-story house - 3 bedrooms, hallway, stairway, living room, dining room, and kitchen. We originally got a quote from Empire Flooring at the very beginning & they quoted $3500 for only two rooms installed. I would definitely use Capital Carpet & Tile again!

The gentleman that came out was very nice and very professional. He had samples of carpet and pads and he gave us pricing and told us what was better for children. He measured the room and drew the dimensions on graph paper. We decided to not change the carpet but to just get the carpets cleaned. The price to replace the carpet depended on the carpet I chose; it was going to cost $500 and up for one room.

An added bonus: The tile installer suggested that instead of using a marble threshold to divide the bedroom tile from the rest of the tile (not matching) throughout the house with a decorative strip of multi shaded tiles was just brilliant! Everyone who comes into our house comments on the beauty of such a simple idea. Every day I cross back and forth into my bedroom my eye hits on it and gives me pleasure. The tile installer came with a partner. They were the fastest tile layers I have ever seen. Did a very nice job. One of the owners called me last week to ask if I was satisfied with my tile job. I told her just what I'm telling you. They really have their act together.

Went to store picked out wood floor which had to be ordered ,took about a week for wood to arrive because of 4th of July holiday. Wood was delivered 2 days prior to installation so as to acclimate to air conditioning. Men arrived on time to install floor, extra $120 charge to remove paint from cement floor so glue would adhere. Overall happy with floor and company would use again.

They had a good selection of carpeting. I have no problem using them again.

I was very much satisfied with their work. They took their time and they knew what they were doing. I talked to a few neighbors in the area that saw them coming and going each day early in the morning and same way in the night. I wasn’t here to supervisor the work being done. I was very happy as soon as I opened the door and saw the work they did.

They were professional and did a good job. They are reliable and I would recommend them.

The salesman was 45 minutes late for our appointment. To be totally fair, he did call first. He showed us several samples and helped us decide which one to choose. We tentatively scheduled the installation for the following Friday pending delivery of the carpet to their warehouse. We never received confirmation that the carpet was available, so we called him mid-week to confirm the date since we were taking the day off of work to be there. The crew arrived on time on the scheduled day. They worked their butts off the entire time. We had one piece of heavy furniture that they had to work around and they did that without any damage. They did crack the corner of one tile when they were nailing in the tack strips that hold the carpet in place. They did a very nice job on the installation. We have not seen any areas that are stretching. They did leave a rather large mess in our driveway and in the common areas of the house. There is a fine white residue that is left behind when working with the carpet. This residue was left all over our tile (it was quite slick). It vacuumed up pretty quickly, so it wasn't a huge deal. Outside was a different story. The white powder all over the driveway and sidewalk got wet and turned into a paste. After they left, I had to drag out the hose and spray the place down. A few days after the install the owner's mom called for a customer satisfaction review. We told her of our experience and she seemed upset, but didn't offer us anything. It definitely was not the worst experience that I've ever had with a vendor, but I would not blindly go back to them for another installation without first reviewing other companies.

The job went perfectly. Polite, sophisticated, knowledgable and punctual.

They did a pretty good job. Their price was ok but I didn't really compare prices. They put the wrong kind of transfer over to the tile. It should have been flat but the way it is now you could trip over it. They are going to come back and fix it when we get back to our home. They said that they could get it done in two weeks but we had to keep calling them to do it before we left. They came when they said they would come but we had to call several people to get them to come. I would use them again in the future because now I have the right numbers of the people to call.

Before I left the sales person gave me the number of an independent contractor who installed his tile,saying he was good at small jobs. I did not contract with the person even though he was punctual in responding to my call. I went with Murrary tile Co. recommended by D&B tile distributors. I felt I was given more attention and my concerns were addressed. I may have spent 15 minutes at Capitol Carpet and Tile. I was disappointed.
