 + -1 moreMr. Kapps was contacted to repair several pool enclosure screens that were damaged when a lightning strike to a tree limb and other debris damaged them. They responded the same day (within a few hours) by contacting me to let me know they would provide an estimate within one-half hour. They arrived at the stated time and quickly assessed the damage. An estimate to repair was provided and well under the amount I thought it would cost. I agreed to have them repair it, expecting to set up an appointment for a time to complete the repair. Instead, they rolled out the screen and made the repair immediately. They were very professional, friendly, and completed the work to my great satisfaction. I cannot think of anyone else that I would recommend. If there was an A+ rating, they would certainly deserve it. Look around if you wish and make your own decision, but you cannot go wrong with Chris Kapps.

The second time I talked to another man who explained they had been on vacation, but would contact me for an estimate in no more than three days. Never happend. Not a professional company.

 + -1 morePoorly this " business man" never showed for the scheduled appointment nor called to say sorry for wasting your time! In response to this business mans report that he spoke with my neighbor, I was the one inquiring about a service why would you talk to my neighbor, they have nothing to do with my house or my needs. Again this man is not truthful and a poor business man I would not let him do work for me!

 + -1 moreCalled Chris on Tuesday April 30, and explained that I needed some screen panels replaced on the roof of my screen enclosure. He is located in Palm Bay and does all of the work himself, so I understood from the start that he schedules his jobs by their locations. He told me he would be in the Viera area (which is where I live) on the next 2 days, and I told him I would leave the screen door open so he could take a look and give me a quote. He called me on Thursday and told me he could replace the 3 top screens for $60 a piece (total of $180), which I was very pleased to hear! I told him to put me on the books and he penciled me in for the following week, on Tuesday May 7. Again, I left the screen door open on that day and he performed the job without a word. My other half got home first and called me to let me know it was completed, as Chris left his card and work receipt in the doorway as discussed. He was very happy with the job and we will defintiely use Chris's services again. Chris didn't even hunt me down for payment. I called him the next day, and asked him if he wanted me to give him a credit card or put a check in the mail, and he said just put a check in the mail. Definitely an A+ experience.
Description of Work: Chris replaced 3 LARGE screen panels on the roof of our pool screen enclosure for a very resonable price. My significant other is a tough cookie to please b/c he is able to fix just about everything, but I didn't want him climbing up on top of our screen enclosure (since he had never replaced the top screens himself before). He was really pleased with the job that Chris did, and said it was 'excellent'! We will definitely use him again, and highly recommend him to all.

 + -1 moreI read the reviews for Chris Kapps Soffit and Screen on Angies list and decided to call for an estimate. Chris arrived at my house in a timely manner the same day for the estimate. We agreed on a price and he returned two days later to replace the patio enclosure screens. He and his assistant spent a few hours performing the work. They did an excellent job replacing the screens. They cleaned up and took all the old screens with them as well. I will definately use them in the future.

He gave me a day and was there that day, enclosing my front entranceway. He did the job in one morning; he did an excellent job! As I was not home when he finished he just asked I mail the check if satisfied. I mailed the check right away. I will be calling him about enclosing the back patio after the holidays. I highly recommend calling him for any job he does.

Chris came and gave us an estimate, then came back and did the job for us. This being our first pool enclosure, we had lots of questions and Chris gave us honest answers and tips on things to do during a hurricane to protect our enclosure. We will use him again when the need arises.

We scheduled a day to repair screens on the pool enclosure and unfortunately it rained - Chris was very appologetic and rescheduled right away. He and the other worker were on time, very professional, friendly and cleaned up area very well after they were done the job. Great warrenty on the work too. I would use them again and would definately recomend them.
Description of Work: We had thirteen panels on our pool enclosure replaced because of rips and holes. Most were on the roof.

 + -1 moreAs promised, Chris went to my house to survey the pool enclosure and provided a reasonable estimate. After responding with the estimate we arranged for a service date which was about a week away. The lead time was needed so that he could purchase some screening material that matched what was already installed. Again, as promised, Chris showed up on time and completed the repairs in less than a day. He left the area clean and tidy. Excellent service!
Description of Work: Replaced ceiling and side screen panels in outdoor pool enclosure. Also replaced most of the anchor bolts holding the enclosure to the concrete floor.

 + -1 moreI can't speak for the quality of the company's work. There are a lot of good reviews on Angie's List for this company, which is why I went with him in the first place. The negativity in this case had to do with the way the owner handled his customer, specifically me, and not regarding his workmanship, which is not applicable in this review. It is possible that the owner is overworked due large amount of outstanding work tickets. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But at the very least, he could have told me that he is unable to do the work because of workload or any other reason. There was also no reason to be dismissive towards me.
Description of Work: Called on the 30 November, left a message, explaining that an estimate is needed for screen and soffit repair. Left phone number and name. No response. Called again on 1 December. No response. I figured it was just after Thanksgiving, so people are generally busy around the holiday season. Called again on the 2 December. A lady answered the phone, who is a bit hard of hearing, I repeated that I am a new customer, and that I have called previously, and would like an estimate for screen and soffit repair. Left my phone number with her. On 4 December (Sunday) at 8 am, the owner called and mentioned with some irritation that he doesn't understand why I said that I'm on the ticket list, when there is no ticket with my info. I told him that there must have been a missed communication, that I am a new customer, and that there shouldn't be a ticket for me. I never told the lady that there was a ticket, only that I had called twice prior to my conversation with her. The owner was somewhat dismissive, and said that he would call me the following Monday or Tuesday to discuss a visit for an estimate. It is now after 5 pm on Tuesday, 6 December, no phone call from the company. So I went with another company also recommended on Angie's List.

 + -1 moreThey were real nice and very good. The guy was very knowledgeable, very quick and reasonable. He charged $15 for one big section and $12 for another smaller one. I had done it before and they charged me $20 for both. I've only had it done once before and this was the best price I had seen. His quality was good and he zipped right through it. They were busy because we had a windstorm so it took a few days, but I understand. He called to make sure I was home. I would use them again.
