Owens Custom Stucco Repair

Excellent!

Owen and his crew were great. I'm out of state and got a handful of quotes from contractors. I provided Owen with the first quote and he added in several other things and charged me slightly less than the first guy wanted to. He was easy to talk to and assured me that he would get down to the root of bulging, cracking stucco around both sides of the back patio cover, a leak inside the kitchen window close to the right side of the back patio and 3 feet of stucco that was cracking up off the foundation throughout two panels on the right side of the house. He sent me pictures everyday of the progress and explained the issues he found. I saw the before and after pics day by day the job was getting done and despite not being there I could tell that all the work done was really A+. I would not hesitate to recommend Owen or hire him again in the future. He did everything he said he would and some more.

Owen was very helpful in identifying the problem I had in the cracks in my stucco and repaired them quickly. He does great work and stands behind his work with a one year warranty. He is very knowledgeable and has a great team.

It went great. Owen was very good about explaining the stucco repair process, what the potential leakage problems were, and the repair estimate with potential areas that could cause the estimate to increase. Once the job started he called me and sent me photos daily of the damaged wall behind the stucco, clearly explained additional needed work and why, and photos of the finished, repaired wall, They did an excellent job of matching the new stucco with the existing. They also inspected and sealed all the stucco and Hardie exterior walls. I highly recommend them.

This was a great experience. I was thinking that this stucco job, a large job with multiple types of stucco and stone would be a real head ache and would be a real mess. it was not. The crew cleaned-up everything every night (important because I have two labs and they track in anything on their paws) and when they finished, they even cleaned the windows and my outdoor kitchen. I found that they communicated with me in language that I could understand. Also very important as I am not in the stucco business and it can be confusing. They gave me a fair price and completed the project on time. Owen even came back and walked the Stucco inspector through all the work that was done. In addition, the crew took pictures throughout the entire project so that you could see the before, during and after. I strongly recommend this company. If you want an honest, straight forward approach, this is the company to hire. They never missed a deadline and always provided more than they promised!

Owen did an excellent with regard to cost and schedule. He gave me 2 years warranty against leaks for 2 years.

House was built where the stucco and caulking had covered some window weep holes. Previous owners had scrapped the caulking away and gouged a hole in the stucco which eventually lead rainwater leaking in between stucco and house wrap. Caused a very minor window leak inside the house. Needed to refinish stucco and re caulk exterior windows. I called Owen for a quote and he was at my house the next morning! He told me what he saw was the problem and other areas leak within the stucco was causing (other stucco cracks on the floors below that I did not see previously). I was impressed with the timely nature of his work and appreciated his patience with me when I kept finding new cracks and adding to the scope of work.

Owen is truly a stucco specialist. I was selling my home and the buyer brought in stucco spec/ air tech people who said that my wood was rotting behind the stucco. I knew that this could not be true. My insurance company recommended I call in a stucco specialist for a second opinion for home owners insurance claim. I called Owen on Thurs and he was here the next day/ He asked me what the moisture reading on the inspection report was. I showed him that it was 27%. He felt around the bottom of the stucco and examined my stucco... AND actually took the time and effort to put a camera scope to actually SEE the wood! Would you believe that my wood was dry! Owen confirmed that stucco naturally holds moisture. Any reading under 50% is very normal. He also confirmed that if I really did have issues, that the swelling wood would push the stucco out and show major cracks. I had none of those issues. I asked Owen to cut some stucco away to expose the wood and prove that the inspector report was inaccurate. Owen showed us all the the wood was perfect. No moisture, no rot, no soft wet wood.... All we needed was the kick out flashing to prevent any future damage. Owen was very honest and forthcoming. He completed the work and took great care to explain everything to my buyer and me! I know that there are companies out there that take advantage of many, so always get a second opinion from a true expert!. I can confidently say that Owen did an amazing job and will be doing all the stucco maintenance for the neighbors also. He was professional, clean, on time, and clearly understands stucco better than anyone. Thank you to Angies list for another vendor who went above and beyond!
