Description of Work: Assessed the condition of my fireplace. I realized that it was in bad condition, but did not know that it was as bad as it really was. It was going to take $2,500.00 to fix it, which was much too much for me to pay at this time, so I declined to go forward with the work. The service man who came out was very nice, did not leave a mess, and explained in detail every thing that was wrong. If I had had the necessary funds, I would have been happy to let him do the work.

Description of Work: They were very professional and cleaned my chimney. However, they observed that our fireplace flue and liner were damaged and needed repair that would cost almost $4000!! Honestly they were great but the amount of repairs was disheartening and disappointing to hear. The quote was not itemized and there weren't any cheaper alternatives offered.

Thank you for the review. As I am sure you know, a major part of our job is to tell someone when there are safety defects with their chimney. We take pride in the work that we do, and do not offer any unsafe or temporary fixes. Unfortunately, for the work that is needed on your chimney, this is the least expensive option. If you would like we could give you pricing for vent free gas logs, or an electric fireplace install, but for your particular system it looks as if they would all be in about the same price range. Even though we could not help to make your chimney safe to burn in, at least you now know that is is unsafe. If I can work with you in any way to get your repairs done, and your chimney back to a safe condition I would love to speak with you.

Description of Work: Switching our fireplace to gas logs and wanted to get the chimney cleaned out of forty years of soot beforehand. They were prompt efficient and thoroughly professional. They ran a camera down the chimney to search out existing, or potential, problems, went over what they found and offered options I could take with no pressure to buy.
