ARC Chimney Sweeps

I purchased a flue cap from them and they installed it. That went fine. Then I was informed that my fireplace was rusted shut and they gave me a very high estimate for repair. So high, we decided to get a price for having it blocked off and installing an electric heater. They gave a ballpark amount and were supposed to work up an estimate but never did. Finally I was able to reach them to ask them again for an estimate. The price came back as much higher than the ballpark figure. We are blocking it off and installing a heater on our own for a fraction of their price.

Very very good work. Very prompt. Very professional. Took pictures to show and explain before the work was done. Took pictures after the work was done. Very fair in price. And very professional and friendly behavior. Would be glad to give a reference.

I was very pleased with the guys who came to the house. At first I was concerned, because they did NOT go up on the roof to look at the chimney and I thought that was what I had hired them to do. But they explained that they could tell from looking at the fireplaces that all was fine. I appreciated that they took the time to answer my stupid questions about how chimneys work.

The repair appointment is scheduled to be performed in a few weeks.

My experience with them was good. I paid them for the cleaning and a deposit on the chimney cap and the remaining when they came out and installed it. They were very professional and nice. They were easy to work with. The cost for the cleaning itself was very reasonable. For the chimney cap, I really do not have a reference, but I was comfortable with the cost and decided to go with it.

They found out there was no liner (recently purchased home). They capped the Chimney, pressure washed the outside and sealed some areas above the roof. * Chimney was not cleaned at this time due to no liner There is currently some confusion on the cost.

ARC was prompt for the appointment, professional in their service. They were careful to move their equipment into the house, removed their outdoor shoes and were extremely careful during the cleaning process. They worked non-stop and reviewed the job upon completion; they are respectful and courteous. That was wonderful. Such pleasant technicians. They pointed out a safety risk to me and I'm like really aware of it, they're gonna come back and do some additional work for me on my fire place. They were very knowledgeable, informative.

Very well; they advised me on types and sizes of fires safe for my particular fireplace and advised me of a potential weakening place in the firewall. They finished cleaning my flue and firebox within 1/2 hour.

We're happy we had the work done. Arc identified several big issues with the chimney due to the prior owner's neglect and we hired Arc to fix some of the issues. The two professionals who came (for separate tasks) were very courteous and knowledgeable. They explained everything about the process.
