Preferred Pools and Pavers

The good things - Dan showed up on time every time he came here. Price for monthly pool maintenance was very good. Bad things - Dan measured for the pavers. I never received the bid. I called him about it and he said he sent it and would resend. The next time I talked to him he said his computer crashed and he lost all of the information so he would have to come back and remeasure. When I received the bid it did not include the paver work outside of the doors of the pool cage. He came back. I received a bid update but it only included pavers outside of one of the doors. During all of this, he said Cisco would come that week (Tuesday or Wednesday, he wasn't sure) to activate the pool maintenance. No one ever came. I received a bill for the first month's service. It was dated for the correct month but the body of the bill was for the prior month. So, when I received the last attempt at getting a complete bid for the pavers (He had been to the house three times at this point), I gave up and sent an email stating that I was too organized for all of the confusion and terminated monthly maintenance (that never started) and terminated the paver bid effort. It was just too much to keep up with to try and keep the whole thing on track. Dan seemed knowledgeable, was friendly and seemed like he was going to be easy to work with. I just couldn't continue to pursue it with all of the disorganization, etc. on his end. Lots of good reviews so maybe just something weird going on with him those couple of weeks?

With respect to the new pool equipment Dann did a great job and the price quoted was fair. Also, by mistake the company he ordered the equipment from shipped conversion equipment for a salt pool. Unfortunately his installer was not aware that we did not order this feature and put it in. Dann amazingly gave it to us for free rather than take it out (which of course would have cost him more in labor). Nevertheless, he could have asked us to pay something and he didn't. As for our recent problems with the green water and the leak. He sent out his service person immediately and cleaned the pool. It looks perfect now! Then he sent out a company to check for the leak. He communicated with us all along about what was going on and how much it was going to cost. The problem was fixed and the price again was very fair.

The problem was diagnosed and repaired the same day. The lamp had to be replaced later in the week.

I spoke with Dann about our pump's not working properly. He diagnosed the problem and did the necessary repairs promptly and at an affordable price. His crew was clean, professional and articulate. I will continue to use his services in the future.

I have been very happy with Cisco. He is reliable, dependable, and takes pride in his work. When I call about something, it is addressed immediately, with in 24 hours. Very friendly.

Very very well! Exceptional response time. I called on Sunday; the motor was replaced on Tuesday. The technicians were very capable and friendly. Payment was via credit card on the phone after the job was completed.

It went very well. I appreciate that their worker was able to fix the leaks despite poor water clarity (because I was adding so much new water all the time).

Dan inspected pool and provided a complete estimate and cleaning option recommendations. I am not quite ready to hire at this time however, he is very professional, knowledgeable and fair. When ready, I would not hesitate to hire him

They have serviced our pool for years and have always done a fantastic job. They redid my pool deck cheaper than anybody else quoted and it looks great. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work done at a great price.

As I had purchased the $77 "deal" which included $100 toward repairs, there was no add'l cost to me. Preferred is very fair and easy to deal with.

I am incredibly impressed with the work. Cisco regularly maintains my pool and it is always crystal clear, even after heavy storms. Antonio fixed the seal on my filter/pump and it no longer leaks. The cracked pavers at the edge of the pool did not all need to be replaced! Only 3 of them. I was thrilled to hear that. Saved me a lot of money. Overall, I'm thrilled with the service I have received. I have spoken with the Owner of Preferred Dann several times and he is not only professional on the phone but plain friendly and helpful. I will be resurfacing my pool in a few years and I will absolutely use Preferred Pools.

SERVICE MAN ARRIVED EARLY, USED HIGHLY SENSITIVE IN WATER LISTENING DEVICE TO LOCATE AREAS WHERE THERE WAS LEAKAGE, AND WAS ABLE TO REPAIR THE LEAK WHILE ON SITE, WITHOUT A SECOND VISIT. THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK 100% AND HAVE ASKED US TO WATCH FOR ANY FURTHER LEAKING OVER THE NEXT 5 WEEKS. IF WE SEE THE WATER LEVEL GO DOWN MORE QUICKLY THAN EVAPORATION, WE WILL CALL THEM BACK. SO FAR, EVERYTHING IS FINE.

At the beginning it was ok but after the work performed things started to fall a part I am very sorry that i hired them.

It went very well. What I liked best was that their approach was consultative. That is there were many ways to get the pool back to where we thought it should be. They presented well reasoned options with cost, explanations and risk/benefit types of recommendations. We picked options within our budget and they delivered and installed what we asked for at the money we agreed on in a resaonable time. Tthe work was timely and of good quality.

Received very little for what i paid. Never performed the full inspection as identified in the original Angies List offer. Never followed up with any recommendations for repairs. Never used this contractor for any additional work even though a $100 discount for repairs was included in the original Angies List offer. Waited over two weeks to hear back from this contractor, never did, and ultimately hired someone else to perform repairs.

Horribly. I called and spoke with the proprietor Dan Brown. I told him I needed my pool maintained. He gave me a price of $80 and I agreed and set up a time to begin work. Today, December 21st, I received a call from someone who spoke broken English who said he was on his way to clean my pool. Upon his arrival, he asked to see the pool and then told me what I already knew, that the pool was "green" and needed to be shocked before he could vacuum it. I said fine. He then rudely walked away from me and placed a call to his boss. I then received a call from Dan, who immediately wanted to raise his price. He insisted on $95 per month plus a $40 initial clean up fee. After some haggling, I agreed to both fees. I then noticed his worker driving away. I then advised Dan that his worker left without saying a word to me. Dan explained that he was going to pick up the supplies he needed and would return today or later on in the week. We both hung up and about 5 minutes later, Dan called saying that he didn't feel it was going to work out. After telling him that I was going to write this review, he became aggressively obnoxious, claiming I was threatening him with Angie's list. I told him goodbye and hung up the phone. My suggestion to anyone even thinking about this pool service, take [Redacted] speaking lessons before doing so.

work was done well, it took a long time from the initial contact time , for the project to be completed.

I have been using Preferred Pool Services for over a year. I have received top notch service. When I have a problem with my pool, all that I have to do is contact Preferred Pool Services. I receive immediate response. I had an emergency at 10 pm at night. My pool water dropped 12 inches. I sent pictures of the pool. I received a response within minutes, even though that problem was outside the scope of work that I have contracted to be preformed. I would recommend this company. My pool is crystal clear. All I have to worry about is enjoying my beautiful, clean pool.

The quality of work is excellent and he advises us of needed repairs with competitive bids. He is responsive to any questions and usually gets back to me by the end of the business day.
