+ -1 moreI would never hire or recommend Dan and Preferred Pools and Paver ever again. I hired them 2 years ago to install pavers around my home and to extend my outdoor patio. They never came back to finish the project. They were suppose to finish a drain system that I paid for, and more critically they did not come back to seal the pavers to prevent future weeds from growing through the pavers, and now the amount of weed and grass growing between the pavers is enough to cut with a lawn mower. Additionally, they stole all of the pavers that were not used, THAT I PAID FOR, when the project was completed. I tried to reach out to Dan after the project was done to finish the service I paid for, he ignore me and refused to finish the project even after I paid for the entire project. I do not and will never recommend Dan or Prefered Pools and Pavers to anyone.
Description of Work: I hired Prefered Pools and Pavers to install a paver walkway around my house and to extend my existing patio behind my house. After I paid the remaining balance, they did not finish the project and now the work I had installed 2 years ago is a disaster. When I talked to Dan about the issues, he blew it off and gave me a bullshit excuse. Dan is definately not trust worthy and if you decide to do business with them, be prepared for issues that may never be resolved.

+ -1 moreFrom the very first, Dann Brown delivered what he promised. Although it took the manufacturer three months to produce the pavers required, once they arrived, they were they installed quickly, but they were professionally and competently installed. As a result, we have a beautiful job that we absolutely are delighted with. Jason and his team were exacting. This morning we had a slight problem with a few of our sprinkler heads not functioning properly and I reached out to Dann and he assured me that within the next few days, someone will be here to address the issue. Based on the experience of had thus far, I have no reason to believe that someone won’t come from Preferred Pavers and Pools. I fully recommend anyone having a project of this magnitude to contact Dann Brown. You won’t be sorry.
Description of Work: Complete repaving of the driveway and sidewalk. Placing pavers over the existing concrete on my porch and lanai.

I never got that call and called Angies List who said it is out of the 30 day refund limit so I guess I lost $99. I am very disappointed in both companies and will not trust Angies list any longer!

It was tricky because of the elevation to the house and they were able to engineer the slope perfectly. Great choice in pavers and the crew was awesome! Highly recommend!

+ 2 moreWe recently had a pool and deck remodel. Preferred Pools came out very promptly after contacting them and assessed repairs and gave us an estimate. The pricing was straightforward and competitive, and they fit me into their schedule right away. Daniel, the owner, was very helpful in explaining the process and choices for materials. He went out of his way to find exactly that we wanted and gave us great suggestions for improving and choosing colors and materials. We were able to fit pavers into our budget and they did an excellent job with a tricky installment due to the slope and the flush doorways. The work crews were great guys and very diligent. We were amazed at how quickly and smoothly the transformation took place. Daniel communicated with me throughout the process, was on site often to supervise his team and responded to my calls immediately when I had a question. The project turned out great and we are extremely happy with the end product. We are very happy that we went with Preferred Pools.
Description of Work: Pool was neglected by prior owners and was a real mess. Preferred pools cleaned caging, replaced screening, resurfaced pool, retiled, new pump, and installed pavers around patio.

The team installing the new pavement tiles driveway were dedicated and performed flawlessly. They asked questions where required and offered solutions. The work environment was not ideal, a very hot Florida day, they finish on schedule. The manager assembled a top notch team and they obviously like working for him. When the work was completed several neighbors complemented the finished work and the diligence of the team.

They've been fair, honest, reliable and proactive. Finding a reliable company in Florida can be a challenge as many vendors move on to other businesses or commercial accounts. I trust Preferred Pool with my home and appreciate all they do for us.

This company did the pavers for me and now did the second job to seal the pavers. No complaints. Everything went smooth. Glad I found a company that listens to the customers and does everything as promised. Price was reasonable. For sure will hire them again and recommend to friends and family.

+ 2 moreJob went extremely well from start to finish. The crew was always on time and I was I shock to see how hard and fast they worked. Extremely satisfied I could recommend another company for pavers and pool work around the house.
Description of Work: It was a big job. I did pavers on my driveway which is a three car garage all the way to the street. Did it on my patio as well which is a decent size and did the side of the house completely which is about 10 feet wide all the way to the front of the house. I called different contractors to get quotes and no one came close to this company when it comes to paying attention to the client/customer. They were not the cheapest neither the most expensive thy were right in the middle which price I though it was fair looking a such big job. The reason I chose Dan was because he listen to every detail and how I wanted things done. He was very patient and every time I call him he would pick up or call me back right away which was great. Other contractors will be hours or days before they get back to me. Also other contractors wanted me to do ithenjob differently which I couldn't believe it. From the moment I met Dan I noticed he was very professional and serious to work with. I also met Jose who is one of his supervisors of one his working crews...he was a pleasure to work with as well and listened and did everything as I told him to.
