Two Men and A Truck

Description of Work: They were a bit late, but the crew was first rate. I had them come back and move some more stuff later as they did a great job the first time. I really liked the crew as they were professional, hard workers, and wasted little time.

Description of Work: Provided moving services for us- we have used them before and would recommend them. Our team was Lead by Malik and they did a great job. We take our beds and cabinets apart and put them back together so they are picking up, wrapping and dropping in place. This live involved a small piano so we had to pay for an extra man but this just helped get it done in the timeframe quoted. |

Description of Work: We closed my father's house after his death and needed to move residual furnishings from Orlando to Jacksonville. They came out a few days earlier to the house. The estimater arrived on time and was most professional. The crew came as expected arriving right on time. They completed the job of loading the truck faster than projected. In Jacksonville, they off loaded to job faster than projected. Everything arrived in original condition. The final cost was less than the original estimate by at least $200. Needless to say, I couldn't have been more happy with the result.

Description of Work: The lead person was too lazy to put carpet runner on the stairs. He gave me an excuse that it was not safe (???) I have brand new light beige carpeting. It started to drizzle during the process. Then, he figured he'd better put up the runner before his crew make a real mess on the stairway carpet. Why was he so unwilling to do when I first requested ? Laziness ?! | |They left behind a couple legs of the Dutch pine table and suggested that I should go back to retrieve them. | |A corner of marble slab was chipped off. The chipped piece was still in the wrapping blanket. The mover tried to convince me that the piece was repaired before. No, I know better. They wrote it down and said that their claim/ repair people would call me to make it right. The office called a couple of days after the move to solicit feedback. I told the incidents. They said that their repair company would be in touch to fix or replace the marble slab. 3 weeks went by and not a call whatsoever. | |I called their toll-free number to enquire, then their manager called back to tell me to expect a call from their repair company. This time they called the following week. It took a month after that for them to get it fixed. | |I have heard other horror stories about moving companies. Even though this move was far from perfect, I would consider it average.
