TruGreen Lawn Care - 5065

We have been using Tru Green for almost 30 years. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable, and they have good management. Their price is reasonable and comparable with the competition. They are very diligent about responding and they try their best to come on time; it is a rarity that they are late. I recommend them highly.

They seemed knowledgeable and answer my questions. They share information they know about trees, bushes, etc. in detail. They did a good job and will use the same in future.

I decided to switch because I had an issue with weeds. Once they put down the treatment for weeds, it was growing back. When they were here the weeds were gone and when they were not it was back.

They are a great company. I have been very happy with the work they have done for us. We have been using them for the past 25 years.

Hired them June 2009 after firing another lawn care company. First 30 days saw dramatic changes in the lawn. Beautiful emerald green, weed decline, excellent care. Over the next 11 months, saw lawn declining again to the point of mediocre care. I fired them June 2010 and started a new, smaller company who my friend has been very happy with. I feel I will get much better, constant care for my lawn and shrubs and not be just another customer number but I will make that report after a few months. Also, Tru Green started calling to up sell me on services I didn't need (fire ant control, flea and tick control) and when I told them no, they just kept calling every week. They really didn't take environmental changes into account either. This past winter when the lawns had died back, they kept wanting to come out to fertilize for growth. It was too cold for the grass to grow so I had to put them off. They just don't get to the personal attention to detail level. They also seem to rotate out their techs for whatever reason so just when one tech gets to know my property, he leaves and another one has to learn it all over. This makes for inconsistent care which probably led to the lawn decline.

They didn't do a bad job. The reason I'm not continuing with them is their pestering phone calls asking me to sign up for additional sprayings. They called on a couple of occasions to ask me if it was okay to come out and spray for pests, but didn't mention there would be an additional charge. I didn't notice those applications weren't included in the original agreement, so instead of getting my 11 treatments, I received 9 and I owe an additional $50. Update - since I cancelled my contract, they have called 3x and knocked on my door twice.

I called them to cancel and yet they sent a person for a free pest treatment. That was unexpected.

I am sensitive to chemicals so they use dry fertilizer. Larry was a nice young man. He did a great job and I was pleased. He left me note with some extra tips. They told me if I have any problems to not hesitate to call and then they will come out.

TruGreen did a good job. Usually they come when I am at work. They are doing a good job and I am thinking about hiring them to handle the lawn at my new place.

I called to inquire about lawn service, saying I wanted someone from the company to look at my lawn and discuss how they could improve it. Instead, the salesman tried to pressure me into contracting with them immediately, telling me that there was a first month discount that I could only get through him. He completely ignored my request to have the lawn inspected first. I then went to the company's website where a variety of options were available, including the first month discount and a free inspection. I requested the inspection. The company called to acknowledge my request and told me that the lawn would be inspected and I would be notified of the results. They never showed up.

We have a yearly contract which involves eight visits and treatments on our mid-sized yard. They come on their set schedule and our lawn and shrubs look healthy and beautiful. I would certainly recommend Trugreen to others for prompt thorough service at a fair price.

IT WAS GOOD. I SAW HIM ACTUALLY DO MY NEIGHBOR'S, AND I ASKED HIM A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. HE ENDED UP DOING IT FOR ME THAT SAME DAY SO IT WAS PRETTY COOL. MY GRASS LOOKED REALLY BAD BEFORE THEY DID IT, AND LIKE HE SAID IT TURNED AROUND WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS. IT STARTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I HAVE HAD MORE WEEDS SINCE THEY STARTED THAN WHEN I USED TO DO IT MYSELF. I THINK THEY DID A LOUSY JOB. I DO NOT THINK THEY ARE WORTH THE MONEY. IF THEY WERE TO USE MY YARD AS AN ADVERTISEMENT MEDIA THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

THEY ARE AN AVERAGE SERVICE. I DO NOT THINK THEY HAVE DONE ANYTHING SPECIAL FOR MY YARD BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KILL MY WEEDS WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE. THE INDIVIDUALS ARE FINE. THE GUY THAT I MET WHEN HE SPRAYED MY YARD, IS A NICE PERSON. I JUST DON'T FEEL THEIR PRODUCT OR WHATEVER TYPES OF SPRAYS THEY ARE USING AS AN APPLICATION IS ANYTHING THAT I CAN GO DOWN TO HOME DEPOT AND USE WITH MY SPREADER.

THEY ARE FINE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. IT IS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY NICE AND PUNCTUAL. THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS. I NEVER SEE THEM. THEY JUST COME. THEY ARE FINE, THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL, AND THEY DO THEIR JOB. THEY LEAVE THE BILL AND SAY THEY WERE HERE AND WHAT THEY DID.

THEY ARE DOING OK, BUT ARE NOT GREAT. THEY COULD DO A LITTLE BETTER. MY LAWN HAS TO KEEP GETTING TREATED AND SOME OF THE SPOTS THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIX. SOME OF THE AREAS THEY CAN'T SEEM TO GET A HANDLE ON.

THEY WERE GOOD. I'VE HAD THEM AND HAVE HAD A GOOD RESPONSE. I PAY THEM ONCE A YEAR, AND THEY COME OUT WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. I HAVE ONLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM ONE TIME.

I HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE LAWN CARE. IF I WASN'T I WOULD HAVE FIRED THEM. IN COMPARISON TO MY NEIGHBOR'S LAWN IN THE WINTER SEASON, IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN MY NEIGHBORS. I HAVEN'T HAD TO PLACE A NEW PATCH OF GRASS DOWN. WHEN WE MOVED HERE THE LAWN LOOKED HORRIBLE, SO WE CALLED TRUGREEN. THEY CAME AND FERTILIZED THE LAWN WITH FERTILIZER AND BUG REPELLANT, AND THEY BROUGHT THE LAWN BACK TO LIFE. WE WERE HAPPY THEY COULD DO THAT, AND WE DIDN'T HAVE TO PUT DOWN SOD. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY PRICEY.

WE HAVE A REGULARLY SCHEDULED SERVICE, ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH, USUALLY WHILE I'M AT WORK, SO THIS IS MY WIFE'S WORD. THEY OVER SPRAY SOMETIMES, SPRAYING THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE. THEY WERE ALSO CARELESS (AS ONE OF THEIR MACHINES RAN OVER THE CORNER OF OUR SWING SET AND BROKE A COUPLE OF PIECES OF WOOD OFF).

THEY ARE EXCELLENT. THEY ARE GOOD. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS. THEY COME EVERY SIX WEEKS. IT IS AUTOMATIC. I DON'T CALL THEM, THEY JUST COME. THEY HAVE A SCHEDULE. THEY WILL FERTILIZE, SPRAY, AND KILL THE WEEDS. WHATEVER THE CONTRACT SAYS, THEY DO. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

IT'S FINE. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THEM. I REHIRED THEM AFTER I DROPPED OUR LAWN SERVICE FOR A YEAR BECAUSE I LIKED THE JOB THEY DID. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND FLORIDA LAWNS.

The overall experience was positive as they also left a report on their findings of the condition of our lawn. They also recorded what types of products that they had applied to our lawn.

This company provides overall lawn care in a competent manner. The technicians provide a written summary of their work and always note any special requests regarding pets and gates.

The technician was very friendly and knowledgable. When I called the office to get a retreatment, the woman I spoke with was rude and said I must be watering too much and that is why the treatment was ineffective. How she knew this, I'm not sure since she had no idea how often I water or the type of irrigation I was using or the content of the soil in my yard.

Every six weeks the people from TruGreen Chemlawn come. They work very hard and are always very courteous. The fee I pay for the service is affordable. They do a good job.
