Services provided by tropical plumbing came out several times but I can't recall the actual months. Initial service was to replace the pump in our toilet then several months later the pump did not work but they replaced it no charge. They installed a new one. Thanks Tropical Plumbing. This service was performed over a year ago. Not able to remember the actual months or cost of their service. But Mike did a good job.

Work was done professionally and quickly.

My first appointment with Tropical Plumbing was on a Thursday and scheduled between 2-4. When I called at 3:50 to see if anyone was going to come out to my home, I was told that they would not arrive until 6 or 6:30 due to problems encountered during the day. I was accommodating and explained that I needed to leave my home to pick up my child. A half hour later I was called and told the plumber would arrive within 20 minutes. This was a challenge for me because I was en route to pick up my child. It turned out that I needed a new faucet and the one available on the truck was not worth the $150 they were asking. So I made arrangements for Tropical Plumbing to return after I purchased a new faucet. Addie agreed to waive the typical $45 service fee for the day and charge me $125 for the install since I was willing to schedule my next appointment at that time. When the plumber arrived to install the faucet, I was informed that the $45 fee was not waived and that I now owed $170. I spoke with Addie again and expressed my frustration. She was only willing to drop the $45 fee to $22.50. I had the work done because I needed the faucet installed, but will never recommend Tropical Plumbing and will never used them again.

I spent somewhere between $250 and $300. The service was good. They were efficient. They were in and out and got the job done. I have no cons; I have no bad things to say about them. I decided to go with them based on their ratings in Angie’s List and I just gave them a call.

Brian arrived within the specified time frame. Very courteous. I showed him all the things I needed done and then he went out and got his tools. He replaced the cartridges inside the hot and cold levers of my master bath sink as it would drip. I got the parts as warranty replacement from Delta so that cost was not part of this effort. Next he worked on tightening the cold lever. When they cut the hole in the granite it was not a clean cut and without using an extension piece the nut was only getting threaded onto 1 or 2 threads which was not enough to prevent it from coming loose after repeated use. Brian used one of the extension parts I already had and got it good and tight. Next he moved on to my tub. The faucet lever had to be in just the right spot for it to not drip and also the water comes out slowly. He took apart the handle and determined the cartridge is bad and also that i was missing the thermal protection piece which allows you to set the hot water to a max temp. He explained to me what I needed to tell Delta to get the right parts under their lifetime warranty. As a side note he said Delta's parts break more often and are a little more complex to install. He suggested Moen as a better brand. Both companies have lifetime warranties. Next he snaked the drain in the guest bathtub. He said there were several hairballs in the pee trap. I was having to use Drano about every 3 weeks and I was getting tired of that. I was very pleased with the work performed and the cost of the job.

I got a quote from another source from Angie's list and they quoted me $220, but Tropical quoted $135-$150, he was prompt, informative, quick, and there were no other issues, price $135 so I was very pleased.

In anticipation of having my counter tops installed and knowing that the sink would be 'out of commission' for 24 hrs., I had contacted another 'not so handy company' to come and do the job. On the actual day the work was to be performed, the other company was a bust! However, Addie at Tropical Plumbing and Septic was so accomodating in listening to what I needed and advising she could have someone at our home sometime later that afternoon between 2 and 4 p.m. I asked that they call ahead so we could ensure the dogs would be out of the way in another room. Addie called shortly after 2 and advised that the tech was on his way. Ten minutes later, Ralphael arrived! Very professional and polite. He looked under out sink and advised that because the size of the sink was lower than the original one, the actual plumbing lines needed to be replaced. (I should have thought of that) But it was not a problem for Ralphael! I asked for an estimate before work started and he contacted his office immediately. I was given a price of $230.00 and I had a coupon from Angie's List for $15.00 off work performed! How great is that! Not only did Ralphael do the work, he also made sure that all the plumbing lines were moved as close to the back of the cabinet as possible so I would actually have room to store items underneath the sink! The original lines by the building plumber were all in front of the sink making it difficult to store anything. Ralphael used his head and did this for me without me asking! It is wonderful to have the room to store items under the sink and everything is working fine! No fuss no muss! The company responded and Ralphael was so polite! Great experience from Addie to Ralphael!

Excellent experience. We would definately use this company again. Work was done quickly and professionally. We were charged exactly what we were quoted. Also, we would request Brian G. Very personable and professional guy. We were impressed.

I contacted Tropical Plumbing and they were able to get me in the very next morning.. Clarence arrived on time and was very professional and friendly. I feel like he went above and beyond by not only cleaning my clogged drains but by giving me maintenance tips on how to try and keep this from happening again. The charges were exactly as explained to me prior to them coming out.Everything is in top working condition now. I would absoultly us Tropical Plumbing in the future and recoment them to everyone.bolt

The water softner was installed just after the point where the water line enters the house. At his recommendation, the water line into the house and up to the water softner, including a new exterior faucet bib, were replaced with more durable and rigid plumbing up to code. Because there is much PBX throughout the house it was decided not to replace all of it. The softner works great, no leaks, and the new plumbing outside the house no longer feels "wobbly".

Brian arrived right on time. Went right to work replacing the cartridge in the shower mixing valve. Put everything back together and caulked the face plate and faucet. He was very neat in his work. Unfortunately, due to my location (Davenport) he had to add a trip charge of $150 to my bill. I had tried to find other plumbers closer to me than Orlando but couldn't. The only one I could find, never called me back after two calls in 11 days. So I was pretty much forced to go this route. I was very happy with the service but that charge hurts. And he never gave me my $15 Angie's List discount either.

I have a home built in the housing boom and my Moen shower cartridge was stuck. I had the tool and still could not remove it. The plumber came out and took care of it. It was a major pain and hard work but he removed the old stuck cartridge and put in a new one. Thanks Tropical!

I called and made an appointment. I made sure to ask them for a technician that was familiar with the brand of toilet we had. They were able to schedule the repair for the same day. The technician showed up on time. He did a very good job not only doing the repairs, but he spent additional time showing me how to replace the gasket. I give them an A for the pricing because they honored the coupon here and it came out slightly lower than what I was expecting to pay. I highly recommend this company.

Despite a chaotic mess in our front yard, this particularly unpleasant emergency job was completed as smoothly as could be with professional and experienced personnel. Very little damage was done to any branches of our shrubs in the front planter because of their careful attention to where the heavy machinery travelled. Landscape timbers that had to be removed were replaced after completion. Each guy was pleasant to talk with and patient in answering our questions and addressing our concerns.

This was my first experience using Angie's List. I was a bit skeptical, but trusted the referral of our friends. I am very satisfied on all counts.

They determined the garbage disposal was causing the slow draining in the kitchen sink. Came back later that day to install. Only charged for garbage disposal and not the service call for the drain,

Plumber was arrived at specified time and called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He was very professional and fixed the problem cheaply even though he could have easily recommended more expensive fixes.

Tropical Plumbing is one of those companies where you keep their number on your fridge door so that you have it handy and can recommend to friends. Outstanding sums it up. Yesterday, I closed on a home at 2pm, arrived at the home afterward only to find that we needed a plumbing fix to the outside pipe immediately or we had no water. Since I live out of town, did not have any contractor connections in Orlando, as this is a second rental house, I called a friend and asked them to check my Angie's List account for plumbers, and I chose Tropical Plumbing based on their rating and 10% coupon. What a great choice. I called the office and a very friendly young lady listened to my story and said they would work on getting someone out right away. Understand this is near 4 pm. She called me back, and said that they would have someone out within the hour. I asked if they would be able to also install a new water heater, as the one in the house was 11 years old, and again, a very friendly..."Let me check and get right back with you". Leo called me back, asked for the size of my water heater, and said that absolutely their guy could not only fix my immediate concern...the outside leak, which would restore my water, but also install a water heater. Sure enough, Clarence showed up shortly thereafter. What a gentleman. In the Florida heat, and late in the day, Clarence was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. A couple hours later, we had running water, and a new water heater. He even discussed some other minor plumbing issues I had and ended up saving me a lot of money by explaining how my son could fix some items himself. He didn't have to do this. He could have ran up my plumbing bill instead. Clarence also was an angel for letting me know why the central air wasn't putting out cool air...one of the breakers had been shut off, and voila...when it was turned on, I had cool air. He had to work on the breaker box when putting in the new heater, and had heard me complain about the air not working, and noticed the breaker being off. I hadn't thought of checking this, and would have likely called an A/C repair company, only to find out it was a breaker in the off position. He saved me big bucks again. Tropical is great, I would go with anyone else. These guys need to be at the very top of the plumbing list. Call them and then submit another great report for them!

They did an adequate job. It was really done through the condo association so I didn?t interact with them; the condo manager supervised them. They did numerous condos at the same time and then they billed us. This was about five years ago and it has been working fine so they did a good job. They came in, they did it, and it was cleaned up very nicely. The price was good because it was negotiated for a bulk installation.

My well was not working and he fixed it. My interaction with the plumber went very well. His wife works where I used to work. He was fairly priced.

I called Tropical in the morning and they were able to have someone out within a few hours. Simple job, quickly and neatly done.

They did a great job! Very nice, came right over. He showed me what was wrong, fixed it. Left the bathroom clean after he finished.

They did a great work. The plumber name Mark came over and did a lot of work, as I have a septic system now and I have to get it converted. So, I am going to call him back for that work. He is the best plumber I have ever dealt with and everything about him was nice. He called up and showed up exactly on time. He was extraordinarily courteous. He took extra care in the house. It was like second nature to him to get all the work done. He has a lot of knowledge about other things and he didn't try to sell me services. He said that he would be happy to help me out if I was interested in other stuff. I can't think of one thing about him which wasn't good. I would be using his services in the future too and I would be calling him back in January, as I have a couple of bigger projects to get done. He also deserves a super service award or any special award.

We are in the process of cleaning up after the work was done. They did a good job of trying to do the best they could. They were here for a week and I think their prices were good compared to some of the others. They called the guy off the job a couple of times.
