Rinaldi's Air Conditioning Service

The air conditioning guy did a very good job. They were very reasonable.

Rinaldi's was the third company I had over at our house for an AC inspection. All of the techs were knowledgeable and I felt like they were not trying to sell me something or overcharge me. They gave us the information we needed. On the date of the service, they were here on time and they did a great jog.

As soon as the technician came in, he took a quick look at the system and said that the coils were really dirty and that he wouldn't recommend cleaning them, we should just get a new system, which he could get for us at a really good deal of roughly $5800. If we wanted him to just clean it, he would, but it would cost $600 plus another couple hundred for a part that would keep the pet hair from clogging it up again. He was extremely adamant that we needed a new system, even though the one we have works just fine. We told him we would think about it and let him know. We called another company on the recommendation of friends and they came out and looked at it. Well today, after spending just $300, the coils are clean and the system is working just fine. It may be true that because of our pets, the coils will have to be cleaned again soon, but I can get a lot of coils cleaned for less than the cost of the new system. I have used for Rinaldi's for several years and trusted them until now. I would be very hesitant to call on them again.

It was a late Sunday afternoon, and suddenly the A/C upstairs with the bedrooms was blowing warm air. I contacted Rinaldi's and they quickly had someone out to my house in the early evening to perform the diagnostics at the standard price. They do not charge extra for weekend or after hour emergencies. The tech was perfectly professional and courteous, and quickly diagnosed the problem. The problem was a bad capacitor. He explained the cost and options if I wanted to sign up for a service contract. At this time, I just wanted to get it fixed. The cost they charge for the capacitor was around $200, and he did have the part on the truck. Further research after determined that the part itself costs somewhere between $10-$25, and is fairly simple part to replace. My rationalization is cost for the convenience. I have learned from my experience, and now know something else to check in this situation. I did get a full check-up on the A/C unit which was something I was planning to do anyway. In the end, I have a fully functioning A/C for a comfortable evening with my family.

They were both very nice and professional, I told them I didn't have much money, and Dave told me there were several small things I could do by going to Home Depot and purchasing things myself. They gave me both their cards, a booklet with several articles on AC maintenance and information. Told me they would e-mail me a cost list of repairs, but I never heard back from them the rest of that day, and e-mailed Russ later that evening. The next day I received an e-mail that replacing the duct work would cost $2850.00 (my house is 1,146 Square Feet), more insulation would cost $1500.00, and if needed a new AC System cost $4000.00. They had mentioned earlier that the inside coils might need cleaning and that the outside fan was 2 inches too low, effecting efficiency - but nothing was mentioned about costs to fix those items or the little things I could do myself to help. I emailed Russ back about the coils, and he replied that they would have to pull them out and inspect them and that would cost $255.00. I tried to get financing (another thing they mentioned) but was turned down. They never followed up with me after my last e-mail (I also called Russ and left him a voice mail), and felt they were only interested in selling me the Big items and not about helping me out - especially when I didn't have the money.

It was truly the best experience I have ever had with a service vendor. My A/C motor was broke down at the worse moment. We had a new baby at home. Everyone went out of their way to adjust their schedules and made sure I got the service I needed. Rick, the service technician, was awesome. He was invested in our situation and went out of his way to make sure my family was taken care of and we got the solution we needed. You never see that nowadays.Rick really cares about the customer. Veronica in Customer Care was extremely cordial and Dave provided outstanding service and walked me through all aspects of the repair. He really educated me on the process and was the consummate professional. He knows his stuff. I really can't imagine getting better service than what I got from this company. Exceptional service and people who really care about the customer!! What more can you ask for. I am not one that typically does reviews but this was compelling. I hope the owner reads this review. Awesome job by everyone!!

It was handled by the tenant. I felt the pricing was high.

As best as I can remember the representative was very polite and professional. We were obtaining estimates from several companies and we decided to go with another A/C business.

The repairman arrived and checked out the heater, said it was a burnt-out fan, and it must be replaced. It was Christmas Eve and we had guests coming to stay for the holidays. I had thought the problem was in the switch. The replacement cost was going to be high, so I removed the fan and took it to an electric motor company to test. Another $25. They said it was fine, not burnt out. Meanwhile I had spent another $100 for electric heaters to get our guests through their stay. I called Rinaldi and told them the results of my checking on the fan. They sent a different tech out to check and see what was really wrong. I had, in the meantime had our handyman re-install the fan (another $25), and the tech said it was a fan switch inside the heater which had burnt out. He ordered another and installed it two days later. The heater worked great. Rinaldi charged me for the switch, but not for the installation or the re-examination of the furnace. All's well that ends well, but I have trouble with a company that doesn't know what it's talking about, and costs me extra just to find out what's really wrong. I don't mind the money for the new parts or labor, but in order to clarify the problem it cost me an additional $150. Maybe that's not much to them, but it's a lot to me - especially when I shouldn't have had to pay it anyhow. I'm not too keen on using Rinaldi again.

A friend referred me to Rinaldi's A/C Service after I had a bad experience with another and quot;cheaperand quot; A/C service in town. A friend of mine, who has been using Rinaldi's for years and has had nothing but outstanding service from them, referred them to me. I went to Angie's List to view member reviews on the company and saw that almost every review was very good and that the only knock on them was pricing. After my last experience with a and quot;cheapand quot; company, I was not deterred. Russ was very prompt in responding to my call. We set up an appointment for the same day and he was right on time. He was extremely detailed in his explanation of what my A/C system's issues were and what my options were for repair and/or replacement of the system. I called him several times asking for more information. He was very prompt in returning my calls and was very patient in answering my questions in detail. I ended up going with a large company due to the complexity of the overall repair job, but felt compelled to call Russ and personally thank him for his time and patience. I told him that has he won my future heating and A/C maintenance and service business, as well as, first call on a new unit installation in the future.

I was told by the repair man that the furnace fan was burned out and would have to be replaced. I decided I would take the motor to another shop and have it checked before replacing it, since a new one would undoubtedly cost around $100. The motor was NOT burned out, so I returned and re-installed the motor, contacted Rinaldi's with that information. They sent a different worker out who re-examined the heater, which needed a new relay. Not in stock, they had to order it, so it took several days to get the furnace back in working order. But I was inconvenienced since the furnace, in our guest house, was out of order meant we were forced to buy electric heaters for our guests who came for the holidays. They were reasonably comfortable, at least they said so. I'm really unhappy with the way this whole thing was handled, although the second workman was thorough and methodical, it seems to me that an experienced worker would have made a more thorough check the first time, saving me the expense and frustration of having our guests uncomfortable for the duration of their week's stay.

I was well pleased with the work, the quality of the merchandise and the professional way that he handled everything and he did everything I needed to be done. The owner arranged an interest free finance for me. I was very happy with them. I would use them again.

EVERYTHING WENT WELL! RETURNED TO CORRECT A SMALL PROBLEM RELATED TO COOLANT LIQUID.

They were late but called ahead of time. They did an excellent job and they were here until 9pm to finished the job. The reason it took so long was because the when they were doing the A/C the next door neighbors water heater broke and they had to go next door to fix that because of all the wiring they had to do on my side.

This was the second routine service call (free) after I bought a new air conditioning system from Rinaldi's last year. The service rep checked the inside and outside units, showed me how to reprogram the thermostat and replaced the air filter. You expect most outfits to do a good job when you are paying big bucks for a new unit, but good service after the sale is a sure mark of a reputable company. From the start, Rinaldi's has been prompt and responsive, going the extra mile to assure a satisfied customer.

The circuit breaker for the heating portion overloaded and melted, requiring replacement. They responded quickly and called and emailed me for confirmation of when the repairman would be here. The price seemed high compared to previous circuit breaker replacements.

They showed up when they said they would. They did the work they were supposed to do and there were no surprises. They were recommended by a friend and I checked them out on Angie's List as well. We have been very satisfied.

The estimated did a very detail analysis of the house and AC/Heating needs. Very friendly and professional. On tim. Explained all the options and pricing. Only went with other company due to slightly less price on a different model. Pleasant in follow ups. No problems.

I didn't like anything about them considering I had to call in another company like 3 weeks later.

When our system stopped working, we found that the installation company had gone out of business. After calling several other businesses which would not honor our warranty, we finally contacted Rinaldi's. They worked with us and with Lennox to provide us with the extended warranty we had purchased from the now defunct installation company which had apparently never submitted the premium nor the paper work for the extended warranty. The service technicians tried to fix the system but identified numerous problems with the installation and had to install a totally new system at virtually not cost to us. They went beyond any reasonable expectation to ensure our satisfaction with their work. We would recommend them to anyone in need of purchase or service of an air conditioning system.

not good they appear to have done a good job. it was not rocket science they installed two bath faucets and charged me $335. I had been waiting to use jeff's kitchen and bath and when they told me I was outside their service area i selected rinaldi plumbing However, other companies quoted half the amount.

Several new parts had to be installed. We have a state of the art system, which is very different from the typical A C units. Rinaldi's tech Bob stuck to the job and got it to where it should be. I highly recommend them.

Went well. From the day before when the evaluation and the next day when they came out to do the removal and the new installation.

Rinaldi's customer service was excellent, the service providers knew what they were doing and were polite and helpful, and their pricing was fair. An all-around and quot;Aand quot; experience.
