Comments Added April 8, 2013 Unfortunately Mr. Pucci has had numerous health issues so follow through has not been what I expected. As a result, I decided to update my review. First, I?d contacted them several times about filling out a rebate form. Today I called Progress Energy to see if I could file the form myself and found out I didn?t qualify because Pucci's A/C did not pull a permit when the unit was installed. I had no idea a permit needed to be pulled or that it was a prerequisite to file a rebate. Second, in early March the garage unit started making a noise when it turns on. I called them. He said they were busy but would get back to me when they got back in my area. This was over a month ago. Last, I paid with a credit card because I was uncomfortable paying cash for such a large, important purchase. When I went to pay, I was told I needed to pay a 6% credit card processing fee. This is the first time I?ve ever had this cost passed on to me. I finally negotiated to pay 3% or $120. Afterwards I contacted Visa and they said 6% was an unusually high fee. Personally, I did not this was right because the install did not include a new pad for the A/C or new copper wiring. Original comments posted January 23, 2013 Two years ago Pucci's AC serviced the Unit and confirmed the coil was leaking. Suggested I run unit until it gave out. Well, I got another 2 years out of it. Mr. Pucci is wonderful to deal with. I called early on Monday and they were out that day to start. Very honest. Warehouse didn't have my unit in stock after telling him they did, already pulled the old unit out, so they gave him a better unit. Installed better unit without charging me any additional cost. Even offered to bring me out a heater until they could finish the job the following day. Impressed with quality of workmanship and communication. Sy did a great job with install and answered all my questions. Quite a few people I with work use Pucci AC and we're all happy with their service.

What a pleasure! A company so professional and honest! Spoke to Pete over the phone to set up appointment and he was extremely professional yet very personable. The Tech was on time and did a thorough expection of my unit. He educated me on my system and recommended my unit be cleaned. He didnt try to sell me fancy services or scare me saying my house was infected with mold ( A problem I had with another company ). He was honest and the price was extremely fair. He even did some additional services at no additional charge. The job was done quickly and efficiently and I will highly recommend them to anyone!

Called Pete when the blower stopped on the air handler for the AC. He came over quickly to check out the problem and sent his repair technician to check the blower motor. It was determined that the motor was bad, it was a variable speed blower motor and very expensive to replace. Instead of replacing the blower motor with a expensive variable speed unit, the blower motor was replaced with a three speed motor. The squirrel cage blower was cleaned, a new blower motor and relay installed along with rewiring of the controls so the new blower would work. Did an outstanding job on the 11 year old system. Now we have the time to determine what we want to replace and when. Give Pete Pucci and his crew a 10 for customer service and innovation. It is great to be able to have a large morning problem corrected in the afternoon.

Called to initially setup a service call but after outlining my situation, He educated me and was able to diagnose the situation over the phone. I was trying to install the wrong unit not compatible. Sure enough, bought another thermostat that worked immediately after connecting it. Very knowledgeable on the subject. Thank you

I called Pete Pucci. On Thursday to schedule a service on our a/c system. I explained that one portion of the house wasn't getting cool. He asked if I would call right back and leave our information as we was working on a unit. He called back about an hour later and I explained our situation. He asked when the last time the system had been serviced and exactly what we saw happening. He told me that with the current weather/heat situation, units were being maxed out. He wanted to know if we were without air and he would move us to the top of the list. We were okay, just not as cool as we would have liked it to be. He told me he would have a technician out by 5:00 pm the following day. I received a call from the technician about 2:30 letting me know he would be arriving within 15 minutes. Technician arrived, checked the system out completely. Discovered small leak, repaired that, installed more freon, serviced system and we were left with a colder house. Our neighbors had their second unit go out this morning, we recommended they contact Mr Pucci. Our technician went directly across the street to assist them as soon as he finished with us. Unfortunately, their news wasn't as good. They required a new compressor. Pete Pucci called at 5:00 to check on us and see if everything was working well and to see if our technician was professional; did a good job for us. I would highly recommend this company and Mr Pucci.

I contacted Pucci's Air at approximately 11:00am on 5/22 and advised Pet Pucci that my AC was not cooling, he assured me that he could have someone to come out that afternoon, I received a call from a technician within the hour and he was at my home within 20 mins of the call. The technician was personable and very professional. He checked the freeon and showed be that the unit was empty on his device, he then started to check the outside unit for leaks with another device and immediately found the problem. The technician explained how the leak on the coil could be repaired and he advised me of how much the freeon would cost per lb as well as the cost of the repair and the service call. I approved the repair and the technician completed the job timely and walked me thru his actions and confirmed the amount of freeon that was put in the unit by showing me his meter. I received a follow up call from the owner Pete Pucci that afternoon, he wanted to know how I was treated by the technician and he wanted to ensure that I was happy with the service performed, he also wanted me to know that he guarantees the work. I highly recommend the services of Pete Pucci and his staff....my AC has been working like new!

Called them with a concern that we may have major problems with the air conditioner. When Sy arrived he immediately looked at things and said there was no need to replace. He proceded to methodicaly look at many items. Very nice and professional. When he left the air conditioner cooled much better. The price was very reasonable.

Called Pete on a Sunday and he arrived within an hour. He was great - did not charge an exorbitant service call fee like every other AC company I have had come out on a weekend. He knew exactly what the problem was and was more than happy to show me how to take care of my AC units. He got the replacement part and we were up in running within 24 hours of it going out at literally about half the cost of other much more "minor" work I've had done on AC units because he doesn't gouge on service call fees and labor fees. I know this sounds unrealistic, but it's true. This is one of the few service companies I've used since moving to Orlando that I would whole heartedly receommend, He even called back that night to make sure everything was good since he knew we were bringing my mother back from the hospital that day. You don't find that much these days.

Excellent service. I contacted Peter Pucci by email. He replied the same day and then I spoke to him personally on the phone. We discussed my situation. I was in the process of purchasing a two bedroom condominium which had been vacant for a year. The inspection service that I used reported a non-functioning a/c unit. Several days laterr I closed on the property, and my son contacted Mr. Pucci. He scheduled an appointment the next day. Mr. Pucci arrived promptly. He throughly inspected the a/c components and diagnosed the condition: no refrigerant. He then performed a twenty-four hour test to see if the system would maintain pressure. He returned the next day, reported that the test was successful, and filled the system with refrigerant. I am pleased to report that Mr. Pucci is an excellent diagnostician, and I would recommend him to anyone seeking service for their a/c system.

They came out promptly and provided an efficient service at a reasonable cost. They were honest on what was needed and did not try to sell us more than needed. The system now works well and should reduce our electric bill. The reduction most probably would pay for the maintenance. We highly recommend.

My AC had not been cooling at all for the past week and the temperature in my house was averaging 90 degrees, even with all fans going. Mr. Pucci was gracious and professional, and dedicated enough to find a technician for me on a Saturday afternoon on short notice. His friendly and knowledgeable technician arrived within a half hour and completed the repair within 30 minutes. He found that the unit needed a new capacitor and had the part on hand. Their pricing was reasonable and honest, with no surcharge for weekend work or an emergency call; I even got to use their discount coupon. My AC is working great now! I am very impressed by their service, recommend them highly, and will definitely take my business to them in the future.

Pucci's is everything you should expect from a local family run company. Papa Pucci was professional, courteous, full of info, and apologetic when something didn't go as planned. Son Pucci was also professional, efficient, and polite. My AC system had not been cooling as well as before and was also creating a puddle below the air handler. Papa Pucci told me that it was sludged up and needed to be blown out and possibly needed an R22 charge. Son Pucci came out and took care of it. System is working great! And price was great! Thanks Pucci's! I will be calling you for all my AC needs!

They were very friendly and knowledgable. The service was much faster than expected and it only took about an hour. I highly recommend them to anybody!

At the suggestion of a friend, I contacted Pucci Air Conditioning for a ?second opinion? after another company told me I needed to replace my unit. Sy handled the service visit. I hadn?t had a problem with the unit yet so he did a general maintenance to keep it running until it goes out for good. In the meanwhile, I?ll start saving for a replacement unit. Later that night Mr. Pucci called to find out if I was happy with the visit. I really appreciated this follow-up service. I will definitely continue to use their service in the years to come.

Top-notch. Our very old air-conditioning unit stopped working for several hours and when it turned itself back on we had a lot of water seep from the third floor where the a/c unit was to the ceiling of the second floor. This turned out to be due to clogging. We called several companies on Sunday night and Pucci's on Monday morning - Pucci's was immediately responsive, other companies that said they were 24/7 responded one day later at the same time as Pucci's and gave wishy-washy estimates and no promises about when they would arrival. Pucci's was the only company that agreed to come out immediately and the service man turned out to be Mr. Pucci's son. From the timely arrival, quick response and customer oriented attitude of his son I don't think Mr. Pucci has anything to worry about when it comes to passing on a professionally run business that carries on the family's good name. Update: Around the end of April I called three times to get an estimate on doing work in my new home. It turned out that the whole AC system would need replacement. Unfortunately Mr. Pucci and his son were unresponsive, claiming that they did not know that I was serious about wanting an appointment. That is a poor follow-up to what I thought was going to be a long-lasting relationship. I changed my overall rating to B instead of A because I think their dependability as a long-term contractor should be part of the mix.

We have used Pete Pucci for our A/C & Heat needs for years. He is the most reliable and honest person I know! His sons are now in the business with him, and from what I can tell, are just as upstanding as he is. It's great to know that if you have a problem with your A/C, or just need regular maintenance, you can trust the Pucci family without worry of being ripped off. We thought we would need to replace one of our units, but Pete fixed it and saved us a fortune. He services nearly every family in our neighborhood, and with good reason. I highly recommend Pete and his sons for all of your A/C & heat needs.

At my wit's end, Pucci's was the third company I called to fix my pathetic air conditioner. The first two couldn't fix it. Four of my neighbors told me to call Pete Pucci, so I did. Pete and his assistant did everything to fix this air conditioner. What a great guy, with the best work ethic I have ever seen. He only works in the southwest Orlando area, but if you live in this area, you need to use this guy for your A/C needs! I knew this was a tough job, considering the first two companies couldn't figure it out, but Pete was determined to fix it, and he did. He had to come back over the course of a few days, and didn't charge me for those extra days because he felt so bad about it. To be honest, I thought I was going to have to replace it, but he did end up fixing it. He even called a few times for the next few days to make sure it was still working. He is also very trustworthy. The kind of guy that it is safe to leave your house key with. This guy really cares about his job, and cares about his reputation. He is a rarity these days.
